yea is there a way of flashing it thru terminal on mac? like the way i unlocked it and rooted
helpppppppp
flashboot-mac flash recovery recovery-RA-nexus-v1.7.0.img
is this wrong?
Hey man, it sounds like either you don't know how a filesystem works, or how a terminal works. Unless you skipped the step on downloading fastboot-mac. If you didn't skip that step, you need to actually change into the directory where you downloaded that file to be able to run it.
If you have fastboot installed. Make sure you have the recovery.img file in the same directory as fastboot to flash. Preferable in the 'tools' directory.

Or you can just do fastboot-mac flash recovery *drag image onto terminal window*
I believe when you flash through terminal on mac it should be ./fastboot flash recovery ./recovery-RA-nexus-v1.7.0.img

I completely forgot about that! I modified my bash_profile so all I have to do is type adb or fastboot and then the command.

oh ok I hadn't tried that when I first rooted so I just stuck to typing out "./" but that's good I'll give that a try in the future
Every time I've tried too flash a recovery through terminal I get "flash_image: not found " can any one help with this problem and yes the recovery.img is in the root of the sdcard

Yesterday I did so much research about this because I was trying to flash the stock recovery back onto the phone. Unfortunately the terminal method does not work but do not quote me on this.
I was able to flash the stock recovery via fastboot using adb on my computer...

Do you have the correct files and did you set it up?
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
I also cannot get fastboot to work even though adb does. I have dL various files with all the drivers(pda net included) and tried installing manually and adb works just fine but no fastboot. I have read and followed various guides to the letter and all end up with the same result-adb is fine but no fastboot. Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be? Perhaps I am not getting into fastboot on the mt4g, Could someone give me step by step directions in actually getting the phone into fastboot? I would gladly donate for the help.
I can't find the right drivers for it on my computer but I have the android sdk and stuff do you know what drivers I need?
the one that came with the sd card works perfectly fine for me.
I tried to put my phone back to stockrom to see if the wifi error i have would be fixed. Bad news, didnt work. I still got the bootloader but whenever I try to go into recovery a phone appears with a red warning triangle. How can I put another rom on it again?
Did you flash a rooted ROM? If so, just download ROM Manager and reflash Clockwork Recovery. If it was not rooted, you need to root, then flash recovery.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
And if you completely screwed up to where you cannot boot the ROM, you can use adb and fastboot to reflash recovery and get you going.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
could u link me a post where they explain how to reflash the recovery through adb. Currently I have absolutely no internet on the phone so cannot install rom manager with the sd card. I dont have a file manager thats why.. And the wifi is broken somehow.
I'm on my phone right now or I would help you a little more, but this should get you started.
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/fastboot
Basically, find and download the recovery image, then use this command:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
The "recovery.img" portion is the actual name of the image you downloaded.

He can't use fastboot if he doesn't have engineering bootloader (which is at least 50% of the cases).
If he screwed both the ROM and the recovery - his only hope is to flash PD15IMG, restoring everything to stock, and then re-root if needed.
I used this guide to go back to stock in an attempt to get my wifi back. It did not work. How am I sure it is back to stock since I dont think stock has hboot? S is also still off.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1244018&page=1
HBOOT is HTC bootloader. All the HTC devices have it.
If the update on bootloader screen passed cleanly - you're back to stock.
To do anything from stock, you'll need to root it. If you used the 2.3.4 PD15IMG - you'll need to downgrade it for rooting. Follow the rooting guide, link can be found in Wiki.
Well apparently it seems that it is still rooted S=OFF.
Tried out this guide:

Cannot get passed the exploit. Gives me all Errors 25. I assume an $ in shell means unrooted and a # means rooted?

yes, $ means no root, and # means root access.

Can anyone extend some help to a TF300T n00b?
I flashed the unofficial CM10 Jellybean ROM to my tf300t, and since the storage isn't working I can't move another ROM or even the stock firmware file to my SD card to flash. So, basically I'm stuck on the unofficial CM10 for now...
posted here because I can't post in the actual developement thread
just connect the tablet to a pc and copy the rom to the tablet. I dont rember if windows sees the internal storage. If it dosent linux should or you can install adb and push the file to /sdcard from your computer.
go here and dl the prog:
http://www.google.de/url?sa=t&rct=j...sg=AFQjCNG5sMnAkUGOfTZHgHJLFBARtdiyPg&cad=rja
extract it
boot into tecovery.
open the prog
choose the rom you like and push it to your tablet.
It is not possible to do it when you are in system, cause you cant write anything to the internal space.

looks promising. I hadn't been attempting to push the files while the tablet was in recovery because adb wouldnt recognize the tab when it was in recovery. I don't have my tablet cable, but I will try tomorrow morning. Thanks again.

if adb doesn't recognize the pad when it's in recovery, the drivers may not be installed correctly

I installed the drivers exactly as the guide directed, then tried using regular ADB, which didnt work. So I tried to use the ADB fast push and it didn't work either, under the "information" tab on the fast adb program it says
"Failed to mount as R/W"
is this a problem?
I got files to push via ADB, installation was aborted on the stock rom
I will try to find another stock rom to flash and update you guys. thanks for all the help so far
Can you still get to fastboot mode?
---------- Post added at 10:53 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:44 PM ----------
If yes, dl the latest. Asus. STOCK, extract the blob, put it in the Fastboot Folder and. Open cmd
cd to the fastboot directory and write
fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash system blob
This will flash stock.
Don't give up, when it's not working. Just rewrite and try again and again.
A, user in the German Forum needed 20 times till it finally run through.

So, much of the stuff in this and other threads has been a tremendous help. I did pretty much exactly what OP did in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1779080.
That thread lead me to this one, as I was having trouble getting my computer to recognize the usb drivers. I was able to finally get ADB to see the tablet, however, when I go to push the stock rom, I get an error message of "Protocol Failure" in cmd.
Any ideas?

I don't think any exist yet and your best bet would to push the stock 1.29.401.16 from the development thread using adb push and flash the zip with cwm or trwp to get you back up and running.

If you can get into fastboot then download cwm recovery as a .img file, then make sure it says fastboot usb on the white screen and type.
fastboot-windows flash recovery name_of_file.img then power off the phone and power it back on and see if you can then get into recovery if that works you can then use adb push to push a zip to the phone and flash using the newly written recovery.
