Hello do not prompt as to involve G-sensor in foreign appendices and games. Where in the register to search for parametres. Who can that with does a file that programs using it saw please help = (I want that this program has earned gMeter : (

hard to get what you mean

what????????????

I think the OP ants to know where in the registry you can mod to be allowed to use the G-Sensor with other software.
I wrote to SE asking them how they can claim "motion gaming" as one of the features when it clearly only works with SE software! They said they forwarded my complaint to another department, of course in true SE fashion, I have not heard a thing since.

If you want autorotate this is how. I have posted this elsewhere as well so i have
just copied and pasted.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\MultiService\mods\Rota tion
Change 'AccelBasedRotationEnabled' DWORD Data to 1
Now you will have autorotate with a few apps. Slideview, panel manager, sms/mms, internet explorer.
To get it working with other things you have to add a few more keys.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\MultiService\mods\Rota tion\AADRClients
make new keys for required apps.
new string value in each, named 'ModuleFileName'
Enter programs exe path.
Examples,
Program Files\Resco Photo Manager\PhotoMan.exe
Program Files\SPB Time\SpbTime.exe
Program Files\Spb Mobile Shell\MobileShell.exe
Program Files\Resco Explorer\Explorer.exe
Soft Reset and you are done.

Yep... sad but true

does the g-sensor work as tilt meter ?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=687198
test it!

Water level for X2
Go to START and start program "PLAYNOW". Klick on Applications.
Go to Categories > Other > Free > and you will find a very cool program called Water Level. Install it and your phone's G-sensor works in all 3D directions as Water level! Very cool!

I loved my X2 but i was looking for many time the way to open Opera in landscape mode without opening the keyboard if i did not need it...
So thanks to zloi82 !!!
It works really good in fine !
Now i can surf without opening the keyboard and when i need the keyboard, it is not changing the orientation !
Excuse for my bad english.

XDA2 volume slider hack

if you want use side slider on your XDA2 for something else then changing sound volume now you can do it (with some restrictions):
This utility unmap volume slider on MDA2/XDA2/iMate (and probably other PDAs).
Disclaimer:
By default side slider change system volume and can not be used for something else (only exeption is some games).
What it do:
This prog remove mapping of side slider on changin volume making possible to use it in other programs (scrolling pages in Haali Reader for example).
Installation:
Copy file unmap_volume.exe to "/Windows/startup" folder
soft-reset device
Uninstall:
delete file unmap_volume.exe from /Windows/startup
soft-reset device
How to map this slider in other programs/which programs are supported:
Side slider generates virtual-key codes 0x75 (equal to "F6" button) and 0x76 (equal to "F7" button). If your programm can use this buttons then it can use slider.
Is it possible to run programs by slider (like by ordinary application buttons)?:
No, maybe this feature will be implemented later.

Excellent!!!
This button is very usefull now!!!
This sounds like a useful trick - I never use the volume control, except accidentally while on a call  . Can anyone say what applications they've found to use this hack? I don't have a lot of extra software on my machine - how many of the built-in apps could use the slider to scroll? Perhaps one line at a time in Pocket IE?
Very nice Thank You!!
Ive managed to change the registry entry in WMP so I can use it to change tracks.
To make it truly useful though it will have show up in the button assignment window.
Thx again

unfortunately this hack can be used in very few apps (see readme.txt) but v.2 is coming soon
Main feature of v.2 is driver, that remaps unstandart vKey codes (0x75 and 0x76) to the standart "application-buttons" range, wich make possible to use "volumeup" and "volumedown" buttons like calendar/contacts/camera/record button. the code I've at this monent is not 100% stable, and configuration interface is far from user-friendly, but it is quite workable, so final version will be released shortly.
Des, unfortunately the notification is not always working for new posts...
Can I be included in your mailing list (if takovoy imeetsya ) when new version v2 will be ready for trial?
Thanking you in advance (Zaranee blagodaren)

Des, good stuff!!! I also never use the slider for volume, but would be quite keen to use it in MS REader for Page Up / Page Down. Is that possible?
Just a question, Des. What registry settings are you changing or removing? A friend of mine has a PocketLOOX which has sliding buttons to be used for Up and Down - I would be keen to find out what settings he has got in the Registry...
farnold this hack isn't registry tweak so it dosn't change, create or delete any registry keys. unlike PPC2002 in WM2003 handling of keys with vKey codes 0x75 and 0x76 is hardcoded in shell32.exe and current version of hack just rollback RegisterHotkey() maked in shell32.exe
Thanks, mate. Well explained... so is there hope for using the slider in MS Reader at all?

i don't use microsoft reader so i can't tell you exactly, but if MS Reader is able to bind desired actions to application buttons (calendar/contacts/camera/record but NOT joystick/action) then most probably that you should be able to use volume slider in it (with next version of button remapper).
Hm, I think I will be left out then... I would think that SCROLL FOREWARD and SCROLL BACKWARD in MS Reader are nothing but JOYSTICK TOP and JOYSTICK BOTTOM ...
But that makes me thinking as well... you mentioned that you change something in shell32.exe... the PocketLOOX has a similar slider which does nothing but scrolling... maybe someone knows which function is required???

no i don't change anything in shell32.exe
let's make things a bit clearer: there is no problem to make volup/voldown dublicate joyUp/joyDown, but I'm not planning to include "per application profiles" in this version, so such remapping would be systemwide.
ps: why peoples are using M$ reader ? there are lot of e-book readers (iSilo, mobi pocket, uBook, Haali reader) that are (imho) much better than M$R, and there are converters from drm'ed .lit to open formats (plain text/xhtml/XML e.t.c.)... so WHY ?

Because it's just the best program for reading a lot - I mean "best" when it comes to things like display quality, fonts and so on... and I don't have a problem with DRM, but probably 1,000 free eBooks in lit format... that should be enough for my life
And is there any hope to use it with XDA1 (T-Mobile MDA) - the volume button is stupid and absolutely useless!
I would have it changed into JogButton and start all the apps with it...

Hello Des!
Привет Des!
Не могу ни от кого добиться - как переписать ROM 1.60 в O2 на новый ROM 1.72, который выпустила T-Mobile?
Подскажи, please, если знаешь.
Ну вы, блин, даете! xda-developers.ru? шутка!
er.. WTF?
BTT: why not add to this tool to allow the slider to be mapped to custom keys? PageUp/PageDown would seem like an obvious choice to me, making it instantly compatible with the majority of readers, but others might want it to be mapped to other keys. All the same, PocketQuake could have PgUp/PgDn mapped to weapon changes
I have to say I find the In-Call volume control indespensible - some phone calls come through quite loud, while some come through very quiet.

[Q][Help] Need code for editing and saving file in VB.NET

Hay,
i'm trying to develop a program, in VB.NET. i call it wDiary stands for Workout Diary.
The purpose is to let the user choose 4 (or more) sports to save progess/daynotes of, and to view the txtfiles, like a dayly diary in a calendar.
i have comed to that part where i'm want to save a file in a spesific directory.
like save:
"Jogging - " + date".txt in %MyDocuments%\wDiary\Jogging\
print textbox1.text in line one and so on
like the this code
Code:
FileOpen(1, My.Application.Info.DirectoryPath & "\Jogging - "+date".txt", OpenMode.Output)
PrintLine(1, TextBox2.Text)
PrintLine(2, TextBox3.Text)
FileClose(1)
But thats a code i used for an Windows app. I want the same function for my Touch pro (WinCE 6.1) :/

Just a quick one, and I understand English might not be your first language but a Dairy is where they bottle milk, and make other dairy produce like cheese and cream.
I think your app should have been called wDiary - as in a diary of events
I'm not taking the mick here, just offering a bit of help As for the file editing, what language are you doing it in? C++.net, C#.net, VB.net?
If it's vb.net you're using - this site has some decent basic file routines (checking if it exists, adding text, appending, closing etc)
Hope this helps
Doing a quick search, it points out to be VB.net indeed. Try stating which language you use next time.
The link in the above post should give you sufficient info.

You should be able to use the standard System.IO.StreamReader and System.IO.StreamWriter Functions. I can code this in c# if you can translate to VB.net.
Change of direction
Actually let me make another suggestion. Sometimes when writing a small app to collect data I use a very lazy yet very usefull feature of .net DataSets.
I databind the controls to the dataset by dropping the dataset on the form and assiging the bindings via autogenerated bindinsource component. All I do now to read and save are the following lines of code
Read:
Code:
dataSet1.ReadXml("mydb.xml");
Write
Code:
dataSet1.WriteXml("mydb.xl", XmlWriteMode.WriteSchema);
It might not be pretty but it does the trick. Also less code and no need for parsing XML
yes please

I have one more thing, if sombody can help. the Design seems perfectly in Visual basic. put when i deploy it to the emulator it looks smal and rubbish. the buttons (png.files) gets streched in width and pressed in the height. so, how can i design in 480x640 (VGA) for my Touch pro :/
I've set my emulator settings to USA WM 6.1 Classic and it works fine when deployed to my touch pro. If your screen resolution is fairly high (I use 1280x1024) you could use USA WM 6.1 VGA but it filled my entire screen. You might have better luck if you use 1600x1280 or whatever (or run multi-monitor)
Hope this helps

How do I get landscape mode in Remote Desktop Mobile?

Hi! I just checked out HD2's Remote Desktop client and it works perfectly on my Win7 box. Actually, it's the best mobile remote desktop client I've ever used!
There is only one minor flaw; is there no landscape mode, or am I just not seeing the option?
Give Gyrator a try. You can set which apps to allow auto-rotate or not.

Thanks for the tip. Although I Google'd a little and read that it doesn't work very well with the HD2.
Shouldn't this be as simple as a small registry tweak? I'm sure there is a value somewhere in the registry that makes Remote Desktop Mobile start in landscape mode.

I'm not certain why you are "sure there is a value somewhere in the registry that makes Remote Desktop [...]" because I know there IS NO such reg-value to make your app start in one orientation or another .
However, there is a registry entry to make it respond to orientation changes as perceived by the G-Sensor, then you can simply turn your device to sideways to switch your program between portrait/landscape/etc...
The easiest way is to use G-Config. The full manual procedure is to make new entries for your program as follows:
1. Navigate to reg key: "HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor\Module"
2. Create a new string reg-value with name of program, and its path for the value.
3. Navigate to reg key: "HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor\WhiteList"
4. Create a new string reg-value with the name of program, and its class name for the value.
5. RESET your device (turn off then on).
Hope this helps,
Cheers...

My dear friend, there are SO many apps that do automatic orientation: the most versatile, easiest, and customizable is Change Screen. Get it off of the diamond/raphael forums. Otherwise look for:
Zensor2 (easier), Gsens(lighest), or gyrator (heaviest).

Hi
download app "Change Screen 2.78".
once you install it set default rottation as portrait.it is important cos you don't want any other apps to rottate.(if you do want others, just set the exeptions)
Then go to exeptions and and create new with name "wpctsc" and set it only for landscape.now every time you start Remote Desktop it will be opened only in landscape mode.i use this app since i had my old Touch Pro and now i am using it on LEO and it always 100% worked for me.tried more of them but this one is far the best.
adding some pictures for you to help with settings.
hope that this will help you a bit.
Well, if anybody still needs it...
Code:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor\ModuleName]
"Remote Desktop Mobile"="\\Windows\\wpctsc.exe"
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor\WhiteList]
"Remote Desktop Mobile"="TSSHELLWND"
how do i find out class names for other programs?
Until we get another solution like Gyrator's neat stylus-out/stylus-in, you can check on the net or use a task manager. I personally use Dotfred's task manager, which shows window classes opened by a program (Applications tab/long tap on applications/Details button/Windows tab).
Now you need to find the right one (Usually the one with the window title, but not necessarily), and type it away.
Real quick example attached.

How to Rotate the Screen? Apps, Registry, HTCsensorsdk.dll?

I have a Windows Mobile device with WVGA resolution 800x480 Landscape.
It's a Toshiba, I want to pass from Landscape to Potrait.
Normally the screen can not be rotated. But I think it's possible because all Windows Mobile devices can do this.

I have always received error messages like "Error in the program"... or

3---I have also tryed to modify the registry with Memmaid (...Gdi/Rotation/HideOrientation...) I changed values but the registry seems locked...
I changed the value from 1 to 0 , but the value return to 1...

4---Can Anyone develop a software that rotate the screen or an option that allows me to rotate the screen in Java Software?
This can inspire you: I have a Toshiba G910 and the G900 is almost identical to my device.
Neither of the two have Sensors, but the G900 can rotate the screen when the keyboard is pulled out... (the G910 don't and it's strange because is newer)
...In W.M. 70 % of Application and games work only in Portrait mode.
The biggest problem is that I download a lot of Java games in High Resolution 480x800 and they don't work in 800x480 res.
One of the few advantages that my device has is its screen, but so what is the use?
Certainly not all windows mobile phones have the capability to auto-rotate, your device needs to have a g-sensor (I googled and this Toshiba G900 hasn't). Check if it has one on the site of your manufacturer. But all windows mobile phones can be put in landscape mode, although most of the time this option, located under settings > system >screen > general, is hidden. You can unhide it by setting the following registry key to 0:
Ok forget the key, can't find it anymore, but there is some program called "Advanced configuration tool" which enables this. Search it here on the forums
Now you say that you can't edit your registry, strange ... Which program do you use for editing?
I have also added the HTCSensorSDK.dll. However, I don't think it will work and that it's only for htc devices... But you can always try, you just have to put in the /windows/ directory. Of course it will never work if you don't have a g-sensor...

I have a Windows Mobile device with WVGA resolution 800x480 Landscape.
It's a Toshiba, I want to pass from Landscape to Potrait.
Normally the screen can not be rotated. But I think it's possible because all Windows Mobile devices can do this.

Only possible IF display driver supports rotating. Probably you have to install another display driver.
EDIT:
Install a Flash Player. Tons of landscape oriented SWF-files available.

Certainly not all windows mobile phones have the capability to auto-rotate, your device needs to have a g-sensor (I googled and this Toshiba G900 hasn't). Check if it has one on the site of your manufacturer. Thanks you MXT3, but I don't have a G900 (read my 3rd post).
---I edit the registry with Memmaid (from Dinarsoft) and Today I also tryed with TotalCommander.
They don't want to work (maybe is a their problem...) Which registry editor do you use?
---I inserted the .dll file in my device. Apps seem not work (probably because my device doesn't have sensor)
---I tryed Advanced Configuration Tool but it doesn't work.
And then I don't understand the other 2 options : Landscape Mode (0°/90°/180°/360°) and Lanscape Fixed (yes/no)
Help me!

Thanks for your advice. I download and Installed Flash Player. But I still want Portrait mode.
---Can I download and install another display driver? (Maybe I can simply modify the current driver).
Can I put the G900 driver into my device?
---Do you know other W.M. Device (without sensor) that have only 1 Screen Orientation?
Probably their owners found a way to pass from Lanscape to Portrait and viceversa...

Don't know whether this display driver does the job, never used it: wr1_ddi_v2.5

Typically almost all GPS/Navigators, as I use/have used ...
BTW: You should correct this thread's TAGS, this because your issue is Toshiba G910 related, not HTC

I will install the file you posted. I hope I will not damage my device.
But I want to try softwares for W.M devices similar to mine (they will work better)
Because the IPAQ 314 has W.ce and not exactly W.M...
Now I installed this file.
I can't rotate the screen, the app always tells me to soft-reset the Device...(I can't also open some .exe files)
Maybe I make some errors, but it looks promising.

I have an idea!
If you have a phone that can rotate the screen go to "Windows" folder, copy "DDI.dll" and "wr1_ddi.dll" and upload them in this thread.
I will replace the files of my phone with those working ones
(This drivers can also have other names, if you know them write it)
