Installing Desire apps on Nexus.

Which ones can be installed exactly. I want to at least get the music app. Anyone know how? Kinda new to this.

U gone get roasted 4 posting this without searching. LOL. U can't use HTC apps or wigets without using a Desire ROM. It's been asked 100 times already

Well, you can use the odd thing. I have Teeter and the HTC IME keyboard rom the Desire ROM on my Nexus One. I'm sure there'll be a couple of other things too.

really dude? really?

From what i understand most of the apps/widgets rely on the desire's framework, and since the nexus one's is different they will not work.
Learn to search. This thread should be locked now

Install the desire rom, use launcher2.apk and enjoy all worlds.
Most desire apps depend on the rosie framework so yanking them out won't work...

does the LED & KEYBOARD lights on the g1 work with any of these roms?
i had asked and i seem to not get any answers,also some guy told me on youtube this "there is a thing you can enter in console to make them work tho.. '
is it true? if so...can someone help me please?

i smell mega newb odor coming from your corner. hang out around the forums a lil bit longer and do some searches around here not youtube. all these roms are work in progress getting better each time. when u flash a sense rom and ur leds starts working then im sure u will know, until then.....

was'nt doin' research on youtube by the way.
even a noob woudn't be that dumb.
i just checked for a review of the vega legend port,& asked on a comment and he had told me that.
but, i guess..askin' sucks balls nowa days.

But anyways, right now there is keyboard and front lights going on, LED's may happen later

DO NOT INSTALL THIS UPDATE IF YOU NEED ROOT IN A FUTURE!

I am one of those crazy ones who does not care about root. I did it once, and removed it. Call me crazy.
Installing now ...
PS what I mean, most people on this board would know this, and will have read your other posts about the subject.
On top, I am sure some genius will hack this one also and we can root it. It will just take a while longer.

Oh I tell you, I was crazy once... didn't care about the root. Just wanted Android 2.1. I wanted it now. But then, in a moment of enlightenment, I listened to shadow_fi. And when HTC announced that there will be no further updates past 2.1 to Hero (at least CDMA, but I guess it applies to every other Hero), it was obvious that we shall not go down that evil OTA path... and so I flashed VillainROM 10.3.2 and hence my Hero will live happily ever after.

Just spoke with HTC Support and they said Orange and 3 OTA is delayed but by how much they would not say

That is becoming less and less likely with more people moving to other devices, if you flash this 2.1 chances are you will never be able to try new things like a froyo release

There is already a thread ** Official 2.1 UK UPDATE Thread ** .
Keep posts in the same area regards to this update then everyone can find it.

Jtag interface is what I've been expecting, no sneak peak needed, we know what root will yield, so, lock this thread

We used the smart card & s58 file to disable the chip,not the Jtag interface.

Why would you post this in one thread:

sorry, thought this trhead was started by, a newbie, coming off a fresh upwrapiing and a quick google search of newly arrived G2. The 1 post history and screen name through me off, it is great work. Just a big fan and practioner of Jtag and its warm goodness.

Although I agree the bootup animation is from older versions of Android, It's clearly 2.x+ as shown at 1:20 by the lwp, phone app instead of dialer, and a few other apps in the drawer.

So I have an S4, but I want the background that was shown on the Note 3 today on the release images... anyone found it?

You do realize that the question you posted is completely free of any kind of value, right? The phone has not been released yet as you know and as pointed out by scott14719.what makes you think anyone would have anything from the aforementioned device? So yes his post was more than helpful.

Well, I felt a little nice today, so I used this new search engine called Google. It finds all kinds of stuff...

There are a couple of "clicks" involved, but nothing to technical. It's not really "official' but it's the closest you are probably going to get for now.
