Is there a way to increase the volume of youtube? - HD2 General

When out and about, the speaker isn't loud enough to be able to hear videos on YouTube...
so I was wondering if there was a way to increase the volume either in YouTube, or a way of increasing the phone's volume beyond the original maximum limit?
Thanks.

Increasing the volume beyond the limitation is not recommended (even if you could), because that will damage your speaker.

Windows Media Player Volume

OK my eyes hurt from looking. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to increase the sound of media player? I have the volume at 100% yet it is still very quiet. I appreciate your help
Maybe stating the obvious but it will get asked: Have you increased you system volume too? Click on the speaker at the top and the left slider (with the phone icon) is the system volume.
I have a similar issue - but also I find the volume contorl to be non-linear, so will be interested to see what else is suggested here.
Gav.
Yeah, I really with the two were independent, or you could control the ring volume apart from the system volume, or something of that nature. I often have to increase the system volume to hear Windows Media Player. This wouldn't be a problem if the ring volume wasn't also affected.

Enhanced volume control

I am one of those people who listen to music mostly for background noise while I work. This means the music has to be quite low. I use ear buds to muffle out the outside noises. However this means that the lowest volume setting becomes too high. For me, most mp3 players suffered from this problem. Until I started using Rockbox firmware on my Sansa mp3 mplayer that offered 84 levels of volume control.
The Samsung Epic in comparison only offers 16 levels of volume adjustment. Is there a way to improve this volume level control? I briefly search Android Market but did not see anything relevant. May have overlooked.
I hate to be a douche, but i dont think more volume steps is all that necessary.
I use these "Sony Earbuds", they have there own inline volume controller so i can achieve practically as many steps as i can imagine (analogue adjuster)
It totally needs more volume steps. Is it specific to this phone, or does it happen on all Android phones? I've never used another Android phone, so I wouldn't know.

External speaker increase low volume

Anyway to make the external speaker volume louder through a hack or app? Its way to low making it it useless for car navigation but more importantly I can't hear it ringing when I have it in my pocket.
After we manage to run custom roms from NAND, you can use DSPManager, but in the meantime, you can hack your AudioPara.CSV is you know how to.

they could probably increase it with a firmware update not 100% sure
as for ring volume as a work around just open an audio editing program like audacity and increase the volume of an mp3 that you plan to use as a ringtone then copy it to the device and use that it should be louder cause you have increased the volume of the mp3
its nto a fix for everything but its a work around for the ringer at least

AudioPara.CSV is a windows mobile file. This in an android device. Your instructions are useless.
I am also looking to increase audio volume. Mine is quite low, I cant even use speakerphone properly. You cant hear the person.
I also own the samsung galaxy and the desire hd is about half the volume, if that.
I can hardly hear anyone on this phone and the music/podcast playback is ridiculously low. Did anyone in HTC actually use this phone before manufacturing it?
Their donkeys did...
I dont find it that low.
Was about to set a alarm signal and it was too low to hear.
But instead I choose to use a file from the music folder and
it was much louder.
Seamed strange, but the volume is OK!

[Q?]Maximum sound level modding

hello.
i'm pretty sure i saw somewhere a way of changing some system files in a rom to have a higher/lower volume sound (i'm talking about the real maximum level, not the volume like using volume buttons). i couldn't find anything about it. can anyone guide me? thatnks.
(what i want to do is to increase the maximum sound level)

Both speakers playing?

So my phone took a tumble very soon after I got it and I've noticed that when playing audio, I get sound coming from the earpiece as well as the main speaker. At low volumes it's basically a distorted rumble, but somewhat clearer when the volume is higher.
Also during phonecalls the earpiece is noticeably distorted unless the volume is set to 1.
At one point when adjusting the volume via the slider, I was blasted with a bass frequency, forcing me to restart to make it stop. Not sure if this was the cause or effect.
Is media playback meant to utilise both speakers?
Any tips on troubleshooting this issue? I get the feeling the hardware may have taken a beating but hoping there's a fix that doesn't involve me sending my phone away.
Tia.
Yes, both speakers are used, but these have different frequency range as far as I remember.
