Stock ROM to Artemis - HD2 General

I have the Telstra T9193 HD2 with HSPL installed but I want to flash to the Artemis 6.0. Do I need to uninstall the stock 1.66 ROM I currently have now before I proceed?
(Sorry if this is a stupid question but I couldnt find a definitive answer throughout the forum)
Thanks,

No. If you have HSPL installed, you just follow the instructions and this will over-write your stock rom.

Thank you!

if I never flashed a rom beofre can use uspl instead hard spl

Hey Guys
I know this is a noob question, I have never flashed a rom, do I need to have the hardspl, or is there a shorter way to just use uspl. Can someone just inform me of the shortest way to flash a rom
I have never flashed HSPL myself, and flashed more than a dozen custom ROM using USPL. The procedure depends on what ROM you have on your device, what ROM you want to flash and if you have branded or WWE device, so read this wonderful guide, follow it step by step (if you have 1.19 ROM and want to flash 1.56 based ROM) and you should be alright.
Hi it seems I am still a little confused from reading the guide
My hd is from uk and it is branded orange. It has a 1.19 rom. So please someone tell me how to flash dutty rom wm 6.5 . All I want is the easyiest way to flash a customized rom dutty for wm 6.5, knowing my hd is a virgin phone that I never flashed a rom before
everything you need is in the Wiki & in crackwhores guide.
Read it all twice and once you think you understand, read it again!
Its really is much simpler than you think.
Basically you need to flash a stock 1.54 spl before you can flash dutty's ROM otherwise you will get the greenscreen issue!
But as i say, its all here, you just have to read it yourself.

Edit:
Heres some links for you!

USPL Gui Interface
Stock ROM you need to flash first!
If i get time, i might record a video of this process so that there is something visual for all the new guys to follow!

Please help!
so, to summarize, you have a phone in english, you've seen a rom you don't want to flash, so you are asking our advice,,,,
my advice would be to hspl and then flash any english (wwe) rom you want. get the latest stock roms from the "leo official roms" thread in rom development.

In response to the original question yes you can upgrade your phone with the GCC ROM.It will be in english. There will be a value added installer package in your programmes after the upgrade.Dont install that package. That is for converting english to Arabic.

Hspl für Htc Hd2 3.14.407.2

Hi I hav an Htc hd2 with the original rom 3.14.407.2
I want to have Windows mobile 7 on it and so I must do Hspl on it.
And my Question is if everyone know how to put Hspl on 3.14.407.2
For the future, I would recommend to use the search function of the forum. Even google brings you quite a few good results...
Anyway, to get HSPL onto your phone, you must downgrade first: Get an older stock ROM for your device, most probably an unbranded German, I assume.
You can find the older ROMs on HTC´s support site, or in forums.
Once you´ve flashed the older ROM, you´re ready to flash HSPL 2.08 and the needed Radio ROM 2.15.50.04, MAGLDR, and finally a WP7 NAND ROM.

There are many original roms, you'll find them reading the stickie from kokotas.
I looked at a very old post and found an original rom but not been able to download it. can u post a link to point me in right direction
Did you go to the first thread in this forum like i told you? There are the only links i know...
Origional ROM
Here it is http://www.4shared.com/file/7Vlr1WMm/HTC_Touch_WWE_ME_2204561B.htm
You can also download the original Elf ROM from HTC website http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-touch-gsm/downloads/ by Entering your device Serial No. Which can be found in the battery housing

Yes that's possible and you can Flash your device with original ROM If you have a custom ROM installed.
I did it several times, try it, there should be no issue.
it recently failed to Flash Origional ROM on my device but device still works and there is no issue with my current ROM.
I didn't got much time to figure it out though but i suspect its either because of HSPL 3.14 or connectivity issue with Synch on Windows 7, i will try to downgrade HSPL to 3.10 and try to Flash Origional ROM again.
Indeed it's Hspl that prevents overwriting spl from shipped roms (custom roms don't have spl). If you want to flash a shipped rom you need to remove Hspl and use Uspl.

Basically, yes, follow guide and you cannot go wrong.
However, if you already have henge rom on your device then you may not need to follow the guide fully. Reboot device into bootloader and check your SPL to find out if USPL or HSPL was used to put Henge rom on your device
If your SPL states 1.56.Olinex then you have HSPL on your device and all you need to do is flash NRG rom
If your SPL states 1.54.0000 then USPL was used and you'll need to re-use it before flashing rom.
Hope this helps
Rick
p.s. In future post all questions in General forum.....which is where I have now moved this thread
