Best ROM right now? - G1 General

I am currently using Super D 1.9.3 but the lack of updates is making me want another ROM but I don't know what to choose from, lol. I want something with a GOOD battery life and FAST, FAST, FAST! Which single ROM do you guys suggest?

The one you're using right now.

Impatient much?

Yes I am pretty impatient, as you can see.

Ben has something good coming out soon, in my opinion the fastest Donut roms are WesGarner's/SuperD.... the fastest eclair is one I have that you can't

Aight thanks for the info.

HTCCLAY's FastTest 3.0.3 rulezzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!With nexus1 launcher and animations!!

I haven't tried the Super D but HTCClays 3.0.2 is fast and stable. haven't had any issues at all yet. I like it so much I don't even want to update to 3.0.3 ... well partly because I can't find the changelog. lol

Lol JAg gtfo with your "I can play raging thunder"

ZXD!!!!! for Donut and OpenEclair for Eclair

Complete Eclair 1.2 by Cannon is by far the fastest (and very stable) rom i've seen for Eclairs..
the AOSP Enomther 1.6 roms were also very fast and stable in the earlier versions.
Flash some and see what you think, don't take my advice.

Best Hero Rom for G1

For those who have tested each Hero rom, Which one is the best so far? There are so many options don't no which to choose.
KingXsense, Mlign, Herver v1.1r3, Maximus Sapphire, others
Thanks!
wow buddy do some research next time. cyanogen isn't a hero rom, donut isn't a hero rom, haykuro isn't a hero rom, and other isn't a hero rom either. just letting you know before everyone comes in and tears you a new one.
I'm using windows hero rom, it flys and by far the best, hope this helps
WTH i dont even think Cyanogen has a hero rom, nor is the donut a hero rom, and haykuro introduced hero to us but he didnt really make a great rom out of it.
I'd go with Herver 1.1r3 i think. but i have yet to try Mligns 3.0
nice one for your second post in 8 months
sorry ignore the poll.
you guys are amazingly helpful you know. great people.
Mlign v3.0 is pretty nice in my opinion, but you have to have death spl n latest radio. make sure you partion everything right too and watch it fly.
Meh. I voted Cyanogen for the sake of it.

That is a common issue with the BFS w/10mb hack... which I believe it has stock. Try flashing one with straight BFS, not hack, and it should go away.
My favorite is also the Windows-7-Hero-version by Microsoft... very stable and blazingly fast...
Herver for me was the best for me.
Could you give me a link the official page for it? I was snooping around for some hero builds....

CM6 Stable

Word is that CM6 has just hit its first stable release. Has this been incorporated into any of the eris froyo roms yet?
Give 'em at least a few hours if not a couple of days...
Most of the Froyo ROMs have been based on recent nightly builds anyway, so they're not too far behind.
I know that kaos is working on it.

LOL! Sorry, I didn't even click on the "Download" link, I just saw the heading over at Cyanogen. There is not a stable build yet... because, if there were, that's where it would be posted.
There's only a handful of "stable" versions out now, from what I've read.
Everyone here in the Eris thread is going to need to calm down until a stable build it released for the Hero CDMA. It shouldn't be long...

Personally, I'm a fan of Nebula (link in my sig). The dev is a software professional who requires a stable platform for his work and as such its quite a stable ROM. I love it and if she wants something slick looking (not to say its not already slick looking) you can add the gingerbread theme (also in my sig). In my opinion, its the best combination out there for speed and stability. Good luck in your choice whatever it may be!
I like the setup in my sig. Very nice looking rom and I love the startup animation when booting it up. Whichever one you go though you won't be disappointed. They are all great in their own way.

[Q] Most Optimized Gingerbread ROM for HD2?

Let me preface this by saying I am not trying to start a "What is the best ROM" thread. My question is simple. Of the many Android ROMs available for the HD2, which is the most optimized and stable Gingerbread ROM? Furthermore, is there some sort of CM7 port for the HD2?
+1
Anyone help !?
After testing several Roms on my retired Leo, my best experience was with HyperdroidGBX. Very very fast, good battery life and overall an excellent ROM.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA Premium App
Personally, I've used NDT MIUI for a quite some time, it's not for everyone I guess, but you could always use a different launcher. It's never given me problems, and it runs smooth as silk
Before MIUI I was a hyperdroid fanboy though, both are excellent roms

I'm sorry but rephrasing the "What is the best ROM" question doesn't make it any different...U didn't even take d time out to check out the Android dev threads, cuz if u did then u surely would have seen not 1 but 2 threads featuring cm7 ports for the HD2....U won't get any real help here cuz we all use our phones differently, wats cool for me might not be cool for u so go out there and flash...flash..flash...Flashing is much safer & far easier than before with the help of CWM...Look @ screenshots & read devs/user posts on wat works and doesn't...Find d ROM dat suits U & U alone....XDA is a development site, so show some effort & u'll be rewarded.
By all means, start here.

I'm sorry but I really didn't want people's personal preferences on ROM's. When I meant the most optimized Gingerbread ROM, I meant the most optimized ROM. Not talking about features, looks or anything else. Just the smoothest one that runs Gingerbread. I also apologize that I didn't look around the forums enough to find the CM7 port thread. I'm still learning my way around these forums and I have very little knowledge regarding these ROMs and such but I will do my best to look for relevant threads.

I base my own tests on how good gun bros runs on the roms i have tested and till now only NexusHd2- from tytung runs this game without any problems. All other roms failed. It may be that i am doing something wrong but is very unlikely.
I've tried CM7 nightlies and tytung's rom, both have issues last I checked (last week). Tytung build seemed great, but just had the phone app lockup/issue mid-call (perhaps it's fixed by now).
I settled on Tyween's TyphooN CM7 "nightly" build, and have had no issues at all since the install.

If you never use your 4G, then MIUI is the ROM for you. It's fast, stable, and energy-efficient despite all the "bugs" people ramble about. It's also very customizable and updates every Friday to ensure you always get the latest versions and bug fixes.

I can't wait to get my hands on a stable ICS rom. It will just give us EVO owners that much more shelf life.
Question, I know there is an Alpha for ICS in the works right now. Do the developers already have everything they need to develop the rom or does a phone like the Galaxy Nexus which will have ICS stock have to come out first?
As for a good current rom, I'm running Mik 2.61, very clean, stable and great battery life. It's a Sense rom, different themes are available.
