Which differences are there between OS Edition and Radio&Splash Edition?
OS Edition: Exactly the same as the original RUU just repacked all-in-one.
Radio&Splash Edition: Patched to perform a 'task 32' instead of a 'task 28' after flashing an .nbh, so it will not format your device if you just flash a radio or a splash screen.
How to: Drop the .nbh file of your choice in the same folder as CustomRUU and start flashing.

and getting error while compiling rom after picking all packages on executing
kitchen_build_rom.bat
ERROR: errorlevel:1
im running xpsp2, net3.5
can anyone help me with that?
rom is official, of course
this error appears on every compilation, even right after dumping official rom

oh have u added new sources and new build...
if yes then check netcf and wince_nls must be in sys>shared>common
then still persist let us know....

Open kitchen_build_rom.bat in the 'tools' folder of your kitchen with a text editor:
Search for this lines:

Since jockyw2001 was so nice to release Rose hardspl I spent the time finding official ROM's to test them out. In the process I extracted the radios from each & did a rebuild with pof's yang 1.1 using the following process:
Code:
1. Grabbed yang 1.1 from XDA
2. Extracted yang to a folder
3. Extracted RUU_signed.nbh from an official ROM exe file into yang folder using winrar
4. Opened CMD & went to yang folder
5. Ran yang -X RUU_signed.nbh (To extract all files)
6. Ran yang -F REBUILT_RUU_signed.nbh -t 0x301,0x200,0x600,0x400 -f 00_GSM_0x301.nb,01_SPL_0x200.nb,02_MainSplash_0x600.nb,03_OS_0x400.nb -s 64 -d ROSE***** -c 11111111 -v 1.00.000.0 -l WWE (To test SignMaxChunkSize. If rebuilt NHB is same size as original then we're golden otherwise I would have tried 1024 per the instructions)
7. Renamed 00_GSM_0x301.nb to GSM.nb (This step may not be necessary but I wanted to be safe & was pretty sure the original filename was GSM.nb)
8. Ran yang -F RADIO_RUU_signed.nbh -t 0x301 -f GSM.nb -s 64 -d ROSE***** -c 11111111 -v 1.00.000.0 -l WWE
9. Copied RADIO_RUU_signed.nbh to folder with CustomRUU.exe, renaming it to RUU_signed.nbh
10. Ran CustomRUU.exe to flash to phone & test, confirming it went on OK, had signal & radio version matched
NOTES: I set version to 1.00.000.0 to hopefully make it obvious this wasn't a full ROM but the fact it's 22MB should be pretty good indicator. I set Device ID/model to ROSE***** so it should go on any Rose. CID was set to 11111111 as shown per examples in yang instructions. Language was set to WWE although not sure that matters.
These radios are all from official shipped rom's that I found on XDA without anything changed other than using the procedure above. I tested them all on my S740 (installed & made sure I had a signal with TMobile SIM but no further testing was done) but USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. I can't be held responsible if you bork your phone or lose your data. The included CustomRUU.exe shouldn't require a hard reset but I'd highly recommend you backup just in case.

Yeah that would be cool but I've not been able to do radio from dump yet.. I did a rebuild of a Touch Dual NEON rom from a dump awhile back and it wasn't too fun but once you get the process down it's not so bad I suppose but it was rom only, no radio.

It reports that it fails to initialise. Should this be run on the phone or on a PC.

You plug the phone into USB & run the flasher on the computer which uses active sync to update the phone, just like flashing any ROM.
Btw, in case you are not caught up I am pretty sure your phone needs jocky's hardspl installed 1st. I say that because that gets installed the same way as these radios & if you're lost doing the radio odds are you didn't do the hardspl yet.

I think it's because I didn't copied the files initrd.gz and zImage to the card, but the zip does not have these files ...I'm trying to install the 150MB partition.

i don't know if ther is some conection but i'm using MDJ's v2.6 and my radio is 2.15.50.14
I assume these are the steps you did.
How to use;
For MAGLDR NAND Boot;
1. Download recovery with partition size for the type of rom you plan on using, see guide below if unsure.
2. Extract downloaded file and load magldr into USB Flasher mode.
3. Run DAF.exe and follow instructions
4. After completed and phone reboots, hold power key and select AD Recovery from list
5. Recovery will now load
If this does not work. Try to download CWM 1.3 again. Download might of been corrupt.
You do not need the files on the SD card. It should load to nand.
Which mgldr version do you have?
If not 1.3, get 1.3.

This is a tool written in JAVA for easier flashing of the following partitions:
Radio, hboot/spl, recovery, system, boot, userdata, kernel and splash.
It can do much more, like:
Conversion of 24bit BMP images to ready-to-flash splash files.
Erase/wipe multiple or single partitions.
Reboot device either to system or fastboot.
Print of device info.
Flash of kernel.
Possible to run custom fastboot commands instead of using cmd/shell.
Flash of signed zip files (E.g. fastboot flash zip myzip.zip)
The above(Flash of signed zip) should not to be confused with flashing of custom rom files!
It's only meant for signed HTC roms with complete system layout.
Flash multiple files in one click by using custom folders and tags.
It's basically a GUI over most fastboot commands.
It works for Windows, Linux and Mac.
No need for Android SDK, the jar-file has all needed files bundled!
It's well tested and have more than +15000 users.
It works for all devices which has fastboot :0)

I've installed 2.08 HardSPL, an d MagLDR v113 and my phone has the 12 option menu.
However when I go to click "DAF.exe" (in admin mode, win7 64bit) it just gives me an error.

I have a feeling I'm supposed to do something when running DA.exe..it tells me 'readme.txt not found' on the 3rd page so I must be missing this image.
Is this something really stupid I'm missing? This is a new process for me (although I flashed this HD2 a zillion times with Windows ROMs in the past) and clearly I'm supposed to have put MaglDR inside of another folder with something else??
I downloaded the NexusHD2-JellyBean-CM10_V1.3a ROM but there's no image file or anything..help!!

Once you have all of that, you need to flash CWM recovery and then the ROM. It's a lot easier than you would think, provided that you read everything properly. Just follow the guide in my sig (a more updated version of the guide you linked) and you'll be fine.
thanks! i just flashed to the 'stock' LEO ROM..i see..the DAF.exe is generally in the directory w/ the image you download..but I'm guessing that process is old.
I will read your guide and see about getting CWM and a newer ROM now that i know it has a 'base' ROM and is talking to the PC ok.

Is there a file called FLASH.CFG in the folder where DAF.EXE is located? You may have to create one - there should be at least a sample file included.
If you need a sample file downloads this one but be sure to modify it to suit the ROM you want to install.
