Hi, I've had my Trinity for a week now and bought it for the internal gps to run tomtom 6, tt6 installed ok and then tried to configure the gps, as i wasnt sure of the setting i tried the normal configuration of other nmea- 4800 - gps on com 9, and a few other's baub's for good measure , no luck there , i then tried "Beeline gps" but no joy . TT6 work's fine with an external Bluetooth , Do'es any one now the setting's i should be using for the internal gp's , and if the phone is fitted with a gps?? Many Thank's
early radiostacks dont have gps enabled
I have the same Problem!! - I am using a Vodafone Compact GPS - but the GPS is not working. - How is it possible to enable the internal GPS? At the moment i am using the German Software of Pepe.

wot ver of windows installed on device? if wm5 then upgrade to wm6 with latest build. this should enable internal gps.

I am using Pepes WM6 - but i am not able to get the GPS work in my Vodafone Compact GPS. - Do i have to change something in Reg. Files?? - - Help me! - Plees!
You just have to upgrade the radio!!
In order for the GPS to be activeted, "just" upgrade the radio - no need to upgrade the OS, if you do not have the need/wish for it.

Hi i got the updated rom with a Bepe version and the radio version see device info below but google maps still can't see the gps chip in the phone...anybody know why?

Should work, from the details you have given.
Try to re-flash the radio - I have previously have had a need to re-flash the radio, because the first upgrade did not perform as expected. A subsequent re-flash solved my issue.

yep its all to do with the radio rom trust me ive gone thru the same process its not very pretty when the gps thingy is not responding

anybody have any other suggestions because i did do a reflash of the radio file and i'm running the 1.50 radio firmware...but still can't get the gps to work

You can try manually setting up the GPS to COM9 and maximum baud!
Hi,
First Post, first question. I bought an XDA Orbit 2 and flashed it with Bepe 0.67 - now, after reinstalling Tom Tom 6 the internal GPS Receiver is not displayed/provided in the Tom Tom Config Menue anymore.
Is there any chance to reinstall it? GPS setting in WM6.1 is set to 4800 and COM4. Thank you very much!

Internal GPS setting never worked in Tom Tom 6 on my Polaris. I use Other NMEA, COM4, 38400 and Tom Tom 6 works fine with these settings. Hope it helped.

Can you get GPS working in other apps? If not then you propably have incompatible radio and system ROMs. It happen to me after flashing new ROMs (build 195XX or 199XX) and keeping original radio ROM - everything worked except GPS. I flashed 1.64.08.21 radio and it started to work again.

Thanks a lot man! I already did try flashing the Radio ROM also, but not that particular one. I will give it a try for sure and keep you posted about the result

I was flashing mu Artemis with a WM5 ROM and I saw that GPS not wotking anymore....then flashed again with WM 6.1 ROM and GPS still not working....
I try to install GPSgate....and nothing......still appear that GPS not found...

Try this:
1. Reflash to official HTC WM6.
2. Change the radio version of your Artemis (ex. v3.07.90).
3. (Optional) Reflash to WM6.1.
I've solved my problem....my GPS was deactivated.....I've flashed with Tom_b_b_v3_wwe_650 ROM...and my GPS was alive......then I've flashed with my ROM..Arte_Love_WM61_21042_Simple...

Hi all,
from few days ago my TOM TOM on my trinity is stopped to work.
I'm using ROM: 3.51 Claros and 1.46.00.11 as Radio.
It is very strange because suddenly it stops to work. Using other GPS software, like win fast navigator or GPSTest, it can find some satellites for a bit but without fixing them.
What should be the problem?
There is my friend having the same configuration (radio and rom) ant it works properly.
I would like to install the original rom (WM5) or install the latest radio (1.56...), what is your suggestion?

hey i have the 1.32.405.6 rom and the GPS just never locks! when u use the gps est program i get just 3 satellites. i installed the Orange ROM 1.40 and the gps works perfectly!
but i dont like the "ORANGE" all over the place. any ideas how i can fix it cause it seems its a rom problem.
