Is there an app that can do this? I just want to use this as a small security feature when I have my headphones.

Has anybody figured out a way to disable the built-in speaker when listening to music on a wired headset? Currently my shadow (running 6.1) plays the music out of BOTH the built-in speaker AND the headphones when using them. If I use a BT headset and the BTAudio program (to force all sounds to the BT headset) then the sound does NOT come out of the built-in.
I should note that I'm using one of those cable converters to convert the HTC headset jack to a standard 2.5mm jack.
Can anybody else reproduce this?
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Jeff
Hi, i bought Soundlink Mini by Bose (bluetooth portable speaker) and when i hear music or watch videos, my S4 doesn't let me choose all SoundAlive effects because i'm not using cable output.
Is it possible a hack to make available all effects like i'm using wired speaker/earphones instead of wireless?
did you ever find a solution to this?
I'm curious also to know whether it is possible to forcibly select ANY of the soundalive profiles using ANY output...for example, I really like the virtual 7.1 profile on my headphones (sounds great combines with the sound boosted, by editing the files in snd_soc_msm). but as soon as you unplug the headphones it says that the profile is "not compatible" with the speaker. This has the knock on effect of meaning that I have to re-select the profile every time i plug in my headphones.
is there some way of either enabling all profiles all the time, or to set the default profile for headphones?
Hi,
I was wondering.... A friend has a broken headphones pin in his smartphone... He is not getting it out but he doesn't care that much so my question is... Can the headphones be ignored. So the audio does play trough the speakers even with the broken pin in it?
SoundAbout app might do the trick. I have the Pro version and use it for redirecting audio to whichever output I want:

App to boost volume headphones and speakers? How to configure it?
When I connect my OP5 to my car stereo or my Airpods, everytime I get a notification I can BARELY hear it, does this happen for anyone else too?
Is there any way to fix it?
I'm not using car Bluetooth so I can't respond.
But a potential way to fix it could be using Viper4Android or similar, you can configure different settings for speaker, heardset and Bluetooth.
So you could increase master volume gain on Bluetooth part to solve this issue.

Do I have to be rooted to install it?
For V4A, yes you'll need to be rooted but as you may know, OP5 is root-friendly. [emoji6]
