I'm so disappointed, please guide me
thanks
same problem here...
Auto turn off
Do you mean that the device completely shuts down? Mine goes to stand-by all the time. Also after soft reset. The phone can do this every second, making it unusable...
Using custom ROM and S2U2, though.

Evening all, I have an Xda 2 which is about 20 months old.
Of recent probably last few weeks I am having a problem in that when my unit is working if I put it in stand by (on/off button) for a 10 seconds and press on/off the screen turns on, however if I leave it off for longer say a minute and beyond the leds turn off and no matter how many times i try the on/off switch does not respond. The only way to get it to turn back on is by hard reseting
I have been moving through the roms for o2 1.72 to 2003se to wm5, currently back to o2 1.72.
Can anyone help?
Thanks for reading
Liam
Intermittently I can't turn the phone back on again, this has happened a few times overnight. The green led was still flashing, I even tried to call to see if it could be waken up it rang as normal but the phone didn't respond at all.
I remember reading a while ago about this problem when a phone doesn't wake up after a long period of time in sleep mode.
Default UK T Mobile Rom.
ROM:1.21.110.3
Date: 19/06/06
Does anyone know how to fix this and is this a ROM-related problem?
Cheers.

Hi guys,
I've been using my Optimus 7 for barely a week now and I ran into this very annoying issue I've just discovered yesterday.
Every time i turn off the screen, it would turn itself back on(showing the lock screen), few seconds later the screen goes off, and then on again. It doesn't happen to me when I am using the phone, so it can't be the power button's fault. Restarting the phone does not help either.
My phone is unlocked with Chevron 7.
Anyone have any solutions?
Thanks in advance.
Having the same problem after 3 years of none. I have not downloaded anything in that 3 years as well as this is just used as a phone ( data is too expensive in rural Canada ). This only happens when the phone is not being used, when charging no problems, only when on battery does it do this, I guess no answer is coming if the original author had no answers for opver 4 years but any suggestions would be great.
Thanks all.
Dear community,
I own the phone since 1 1/2 years and so far I haven't had any problem, but since two days I have an issue with my N-900. My phone turns itself off several times per day. This happens when I don't use it for a while, or when I turn the screen off. Once it shut itself down, I can't even turn it on again. It behaves like a brick, it doesn't respond to any actions. Taking out the battery and put it in again, doesn't help. When I am lucky, it works after a while again, this can take between 5 minutes or half an hour. I already bought a new battery for the Note 3 and replaced the old one, it seemed like the most obvious reason, why I have this issue. Since I changed the battery yesterday the phone didn't make any issues, but this morning the problem occured again. So it can't be the battery. Currently I am doing a factory reset and reinstall android. My phone had been rooted. But smehow I think, it can't be a software related issue, otherwise it would be at least possible to turn the phone on all the time, wouldn't it?
Has anyone here exerpienced an issue like this before? Is it a hardware defect? If somebody had that issue before, what costs can I expect to fix it?
Thanks a lot guys!
