PLUS!!! It's written by pof, so it works!

Yeah, I've used plenty of utilities written by pof, and I've never had any problems with them.
Hopefully, they'll make something to CID unlock the heralds soon. I guess in a sense, I don't really need it, but I still want to do it! haha

HERALD-USPL-beta3 works for HERALD. Its the same thing.

Can someone translate this to me .... it has something to do with CID unlocking our phones.

I have a vodafone IV(herald CID locked) with Touch-it 1.1, is there a possiblity that put like touch-it 2.0 with this program(HERALD-USPL-beta3)??????

I just went to HTC's site to make sure you didn't mis-type. I am not sure if we can help, as it appears to be nothing like the Wizard, which is the section where you posted for help. Perhaps a guru would care to chime in.

It can be unlocked
This is the same phone as T-Mobile SDA. If you goolge it you will find the unlock app. I use to have the SDA and was able to unlock it.
Thiers all so a couple of registry tweaks to look for like enable 802.11g

read those forum areas. you are in the wrong forum area. read other xda areas until you figure out which is yours, then read that area's stickies and wiki. you NEED to do some work for yourself. xda is here to help, but not do the work for you. Besides, until you can recognize and understand your device, you cannot successfully mod it, at some point you will kill it.

i have one t-mobile branded firmware htc hd2 which i bought it from and uk based ebay seller..its unlock..and i can recieve and make calls..
but im not able to use internet on the phone bcos it has settings for t-mobile network..
and i also tried to upgrade it through htc website but whenever im trying it says these updates are not for this serial number...
kindly help me in debranding my phone so that i can use this in australia with full functions..thanks a lot in advance..

look in the rom development forum and read the guide about flashing the rom they have once you have used hspl you can then use any rom and be totaly unbranded

i had exactly the same issue as you my friend, my gf got me a Tmobile unlocked htc hd2 but i couldnt use any of the features, instal HSPL flash a rom official or cooked and your good to go.

first of all i'm sorry if i'm posting this thread in a wrong place or if this question was already answered. i was looking thru the forum for days and couldn't find an answer.
i have t-mobile htc tp2 with stock rom windows 6.1, which i bought in us now i moved back to europe and unlocked the phone from "htc-unlock.com." they send me a software wich i used to unlock the phone. now i want to change the stock rom to something more stable rom with windows 6.5 and i'm interesting if my phone will stay unlocked after changing the rom.

Yes, phone unlock is permanent unless you choose to relock it... and not many people do .

I have this great phone with me today. I was wondering just 1 thing:
- Could the performance on the OS with HTC hub not be as "smooth" in transitions as they can be?
- I'm asking this because i've an HTC HD2 ... and it works better than the surround?!?!?!
- 2nd thing i have this unlocked to put any SIM and it works fine. Can i loose that unlock if i update the OS with some other ROM? or this is not like the iphone stuff that if u update the BASEBAND gets ****ed up and sayonara unlock?

AFAIK, you keep the unlock, BUT before you flash any ROM, query its author.

There is no custom ROM's for the Surround.

AFAIK is short for "As Far As I Know"
You should check Ansar's posts for new ROMs. You can start here.
You don't need to flash a new ROM to get OS updates. All updates come through Zune, you might need to unbrand your device in order to get the updates (this requires you to "developer unlock" your phone, check this thread for unlocking.)
