after i turn on my phone it says HTC SENSE launching and after trying many times it says unable to start htc sense , tap here to try again. And it doesnt shows the home screen, like the digital clock, the weather, the shortcuts and the buttons for contacts, mail, settings etc. what should I do with it

Well,this sounds familiar Same thing happened to me countless times after installing various things.The only solution would be a hard reset (If you don`t know the procedure do a search on the forum). Remember to back up your data! I can't comment on Navigon, never tried it.Try to uninstall and launch sense again.Do a soft reset and if it still doesn't work,try a hard reset. It`s the only solution I can think of now so... ) Good luck !
First off, do a search for "unable to launch HTC sense".
Try the possible solutions in that thread.
Try also booting without SD card.
Manually disabling / re-enabling sense.
Uninstalling CHT (if you use it)
Hard reset may be required however these things can usually be solved without one if you have the time and patience.

Uninstalling CHT finaly did the job. I was ready to hard reset my HD2. Pffff.....

Hey guys...
So I was right on the bandwagon when Manilla 2d (M2D) first was relased a while back. Up untill about 2-3 days ago everything was fine with my phone. I installed the Manilla 2d customizer and yesterday I went to use my phone and the camera didnt work. It loads up and I can take pictures but the actual screen is all screwy. Only PART of the camera screen for me. Does anyone or CAN anyone send me a camera installation cab so I can get the camera to work again.
I would do a hard reset but I dont want to deal with the reinstallation of everything all over again if its something as simple as reinstalling the camera Ap. Like I said I press the camera button and can take pictures I just cant see what I'm taking pictures of.

i think you will find the best way is to hard reset the device.even if you manage to find the camera package and install it you will find that it will damage your current rom even more.
Sounds like you installed the Opal Camera, this isn't something you needed to do. You'll need to do a hard reset to clear everything up. Reinstalling the camera, which I have not yet seen, may not help with future issues. Personally, I suggest waiting until the project is fully complete before installing the 2D theme, due to various bugs.

A soft reset helps fix temp bugs. Typically, you want to try and prevent yourself from soft resetting, especially when your in the middle of showing friends how kick ass your phone is !

Yeah I uninsallted the youtube ap and it worked for a few minutes then back down to being screwed up. 2/3 of the camera screen shows up and I can take a picture but I cant change the lighting settings or anything like that.
I'm going to totally uninstall the manilla 2d program and see if that helps.
Uninstalled everything then reinstalled the newest release(s) for M2 to work and now everthing is fine. There must have been some conflict going on between programs.
Who knows.

Ok, i have an elf. of the phone variety.
No funny hats or curly shoes with bells on.
On the third panel of the HTC today screen,
the app launcher, it will no longer add anything.
I can click on the plus icon, and it will show me
a selecion of programs to add, but after clicking
"select" or "ok" it still wont show the item in
the launcher.
Anyone else had this problem?
More importantly, has anyone got a solution?

Hmmmm....never heard of that one. Did you make any changes to the phone recently? Install something, flash a new ROM? Have you tried soft resetting the phone? Also try to disable the HTC home plug in and then try to re-enable.
well, i did capture one a couple of years ago, but some rights organisation said it was politically incorrect for me to keep it, so i had to let it go.
anyway.
ive not changed the rom in any way. ive only just got it a couple of days ago.
but ill now try disabling it and enabling it again. see if it helps.

If you havn't got HTC Home Customizer = get this and install on your device.
Not only can you customize the HTC Home plugin to make it prettier you can also add your app shortcuts through HHC and see if they will add that way.

well, thats a prety fantastic program. Ive finally been able to get rid of that weather tab that i never use.
Sadly, whenever I try to add anything to the app launcher through the htc home customizer, it throws an error and closes.

sounds like something got really messed up on your device, probably a registtry change or another app is causing conflict.
Did you get this device brand new?
Have you installed anything recently? If so Try uninstalling it and see if it is working properly now?
Have you been playing around with changing registry settings? If so, try changing things back to the way they were originally.
Maybe if you got the device used, someone else had made these changes.
A hard reset will reset the device back to factory settings and may solve your problem. Unfortunately, you will loose everything you have put on your device, apps, contacts, any customization. You may want to look into backing up some of your data before performing the hard reset. Once hard reset is completed, you can add your custom apps again and start customizing again. No big deal really if you have not done much with your device yet. I have had to do it twice on my device - Just time consuming since I had a lot of customizing already done and had to redo it. Now I know to back up my data before doing a hard reset.

I've searched the forums all day and there doesnt seem to be an answer, basically when i turned on my HD2 today it would not load Sense on startup, it keeps trying then eventually comes up with "Unable to start HTC Sense, tap here to try again" i've tried that about 30 times and still nothing! anyone have any ideas of how to get it to start? (checked my startup folder and there isnt much there)
I had this once, after installing and uninstalling a mod which fu**ed up the system (don´t remember which one). Only a hard reset could cure, but then again, maybe a much more experienced WinMo user could have solved it better...
I had a similar problem where I would re-start my HD2 and it would get to the screen where it loads Sense then it would re-boot. This would keep going round in cicles until I removed the battery.
It turned out to be MobiReg 1.11. I had to do a hard reset and not re-install this app.

Hi, I am author of that application and I must confess that this is first news that my application can cause this. If you are in mood for debugging, I would like to verify that issue and to discover root cause of this behavior.
I ran into the same problem with my HD2 with this app. Although mobireg did install and run for a while just fine on it for a while. So I think the cause of it was another program which I had installed. It was more for an older windows mobile version and I don't think it was for sense either. I don't recall the name of it but after I installed that my HD2 started to restart over and over. And after I wiped it clean it would still restart over and over whenever I had reinstalled mobireg.
If you have CHT, try reinstalling it. Has worked for myself and others.

I second it...It worked for me..
I'm having the same problem I've checked and unchecked HTC sense, re-booted, removed battery, re-installed CHT and still nothing is working. I go from one problem to another with this phone and i'm no computer wizard but a phone shouldn't be this much hard work.
If you've tried all the possible solutions in this thread and had no luck then Im afraid its hard reset time...
Any recent installs or did it come out of nowhere? (CHT / sense mods??)
edit, just noticed your cht comment.
Try installing a different version of cht.....(older or newer depending on which one you used last)
Long shot but you never know.....
Also try logging out of HTC peep and disabling the twitter tab from "settings - personalise - sense tabs"
just in case that up to its old tricks.........
Hi, I only recently had this problem. Basically when im on the HTC Sense menu, if I go to email I can browse the emails flicking up and down however, when I press an email to open it nothing happens. You can see the press action but the email doesnt open instead I have to go to inbox and open that way.
Anyway else experienced this?

I experienced the same thing on my hd 2. must have been after the installation of some thing. the problem is u can never know what caused it. anyways I had to hard reset as I couldn't stand feeling something is wrong . after owning the hd2 since oct, I really believed they rushed its release.

Yeah I get this sometimes, theres a quicker and easier way to get it working (until it happens again of course, but this doesnt tend to happen again until youve hard reset)
Tap the windows tab at the top left of the screen so you get to the program files, then on the bottom left of the screen, tap "lock"
Now just unlock the phone and the problem will be gone

On my case, the same problem occurs after I uninstall TouchPal Pro. The "Windows-Lock" cycle solve this issue.

i applied pocketshield whichr eplaces it and then decided to uninstall it however now i dont have any lockscreen. how do i recofigure for it to act again?
i tried reinstalling then uninstalling and soft resetting but still the same thing.

It may have just got messed up - it can do that from time to time.
Go to start and lock from there. It should turn it back on after that.
Yes indeed, you won't be able to open e-mails from the sense screen as well until you do a manual lock....
Seems like a bug to me.
