So im trying to get my l720 using chainfires auto root but i notice that it says i have no pit partition (AND I TRIED ON TWO L720's with same response) i am on 4.2.2. MF9 and the device boots fine and i am able to sim unlock..
I just want to be able to add apn settings for my local carrier in Jamaica.. Digicel.. Can someone assist me as i have scoured online trying to find a rom that is broken in parts to include .pit /CSC/Modem/Phone to see if that will work because every tar ODIN rom i find wont work as it gives the same no pit file error.
I look forward to someone helping me solve this...
Not sure on an answer. But this is the wrong section to ask it in. Goes in Q&A.

Yes, I believe that usually root will bring simplicity to the life. In order to root I just had to flash SPH-L720_MDC_Rooted_Restore.

I am sorry, but this board will not allow me to do that for some reasons. However, just use Google to search this board for the file name and read all the instructions of ODIN.

Hey i want to change my phone to WCDMA Preferred by using *#*#4636#*#* but when i am trying to use nothing happens?
'Hidden menu" on our note 3 is not enabled...
you need to be rooted...
And you'll need Root Explorer...
Go to file EFS/Carrier/hiddenmenu
Open with root explorer text editor
You will see the word "OFF"
Delete and type in "ON"
Use capital letters
Hit the back button "you have made changes to this file do you wish to save?"
Click yes
Reboot
You now have your hidden menu but I don't know if all the codes are the same as previous Samsung devices... I don't mess with it to much... I just used it to turn off the wifi power saving mode.

Is there any way to access it without rooting the device?
Not anything that I know of...
If you go to a Best Buy store when the Samsung specialist is working... they are supposed to be able to plug in and enable that menu to do their tests before giving you a warranty claim... maybe if you found one of those dudes and bought him a beer?

I had the same problem, the folders did not exist. I did a search for hiddenmenu and it found nothing. Then I checked the EFS folder again and everything magically appeared.
Rooted, using Hyperdrive ROM

No need to enable the HiddenMenu anymore.
You can use 'Phone INFO ★Samsung★' app --> go to 'Secret Codes' menu, or use 'Shortcut Master' app --> go to 'Secret Code Explorer' menu to launch the secret codes (ROOT is required).

Which rom are you running? If you enter settings there should be an option to search and if you click that and type in "device" or the equivalent in your localization it should direct you right to it.
I'm not using custom rom. I typed 'device' in Search bar from Settings and I saw a list of search results. What's next?

Obviously, they're just the options for you to turn off (that are on by default, which means, even without developer options on, they're still on in the background).
any help here?

Help with what? You have been given the answer.
If you don't want that option appears you have to do a factory reset and never activate it I guess.

that's the same as disable it in About phone > Dev options, since it resets any modification (such as ADB Debugging).

Yeah but what I understand is that he doesnt want to see never more that option.
If you are rooted:
1. use a file manager like Mixplorer
2. go to /data/system/users/0/
3. open settings_global.xml file in a text editor
4. search for "development_settings_enabled", it will find a line with value=1 (if you did enable dev options, obviously)
5. change the value to 0
6. reboot
Remember that before you change the line, you have to set all the settings you want, don't disable Dev Options, then follow the steps I said. Reboot and the settings you enabled before will keep, but Developers Options will hide.
If your device isn't rooted, unfortunately I can't help you.
I confirm it's working since I disabled animations and they kept disabled after reboot.

Just clear setting's data and cache.
Simple
Having an issue with hiding the status bar, no option in any of the settings menu or system menu. The system is not rooted so using most apps to enable immersive mode is non-functional, they also have apps that require no root but the keyboard won't work or it only hides the status bar for the home screen and no all the apps also I have no idea how to adb into the head unit. Wanted to see if anyone here had any clue on a fix or have had the dame issues and has a workaround. Thank you in advance.
I have a new PX5 Android 10
PBX80JCCLTrying to enable developer options, I tap the Build number 7 times and more and it does nothing.
I've tried many things and still nothing.
System is original and not rooted.
I need to see my usb settings and possibly change them.
Can I enable with terminal emulator?
Anyone have any ideas?
