Is anyone on the Nexus one using the Alpha 12 - MoDaCo Custom ROM with HTC Sense (Desire ROM) ERE36B ?? Instead of ERE27??
What do you mean by ERE36B? As in the radio image from ERE36B instead of the ERE27?
Correct
Yes that is what i mean ,
is ERE27 the correct radio or is it ERE36B??
THANK YOU

Both "work"... Modaco recommends ERE36B, and I found it to be a better fit as well... make sure you flash the radio after the ROM, otherwise you end up with it losing connection randomly a bunch... nobody is sure why, it just seems the flashing of the Desire ROMs breaks the radio a bit, so you have to flash after the rom.
HTC Sense (Desire ROM) ERE36B
Great thanks for the heads up
i ask because i have been using ERE27 Without any issues
but i would like to try out the ERE36B ON THE HTC Sense (Desire ROM) ERE36B
To see how it plays out , Can you point me to the correct download ERE36B FOR HTC Sense (Desire ROM) ERE36B ??
Thank you your help is appreciated

It is in Modaco's thread in development... well, when you click on his download link it takes you to his site, which has the actual download there.

Eh? I did the radio first? No problems. I've always seen it suggested radio first. Since the update to the radio has more than just the radio in it.

If you use modaco's kitchen, it flashes the radio after everything else, as well his update zips contain nothing but the radio... if you really wanted, you could open them and fastboot flash the radio with the radio image(thats what I do actually)...
Anyways, some people found that with the Desire ROMs they had to flash the radio, even if they already had the newest one, again after the Desire ROM, otherwise their signal would drop out. My first Desire flash didn't do that, 2nd time it did, 3rd time I had the radio included, 4th and 5th did not, then it did again on the 6th, just did a fastboot flash and the radio didn't do the odd full bars, then none like it turned off and reset type thing, after flashing it like it had been.

I just flashed to the leaked 3.14 update, and it does indeed work with Android. I'm booting the ShugCRAFT 1.5 distro, and i've got 3G data, working voice and MMS. Seems that the quest for a stock ROM with working drivers is close to over. The leaked test ROM seems to be fairly stable aswell. I will report back if I run into anything strange. You can get this new leaked ROM from here:

About 5 or 6 pages in, there is a multi-mirror link for people who have issues with RapidShare (like me).
I just installed this new stock and it does not support the darkstone froyo 2.1 that I already had installed on my SD card. I do get 3g and WiFi, but I also get the robot voice when calling, so it's useless to me. I'm gonna give a couple of other builds a shot, just in case and report back.
Wow, talk about fast! The new 3.14 seems to blow away the 2.15 in terms of speed. EVERYTHING seems faster. It also has some new stuff included such as Shazam and a new HTC Music client...
As a geek, I gotta say that having 3.14 as a release version is uber cool
So I downloaded and installed the new darkstone Desire HD Beta-2 build and it runs flawlessly. Err... well other than the already known issues such as camera, ringtone, etc.
I hate the bloatware, but being back to stock is awesome as well
--Edit--
So yeah, it was cool, but I decided I really wanted to go back to AthineOS to get away from the bloatware.
I had installed the new stock via microSD, which over-writes everything including SPL. This meant that, because HSPL3 is iffy with newer versions, I went ahead and downloaded the current official ROM from T-Mobile and flashed it via usb first. Then I was able to safely HSPL3 and then flash my fav ROM.
Overall, the new stock is very rocking and I can't wait for someone to cook a stripped-down ROM based on it

is HSPL needed to run android in hd2?
Do you think this is the right thread for 'question'?
Normally HSPL is needed because you need to flash the radio rom suitable to run android.
as long u using 3rd party rom u need it..
I don't believe it is "needed" to simply run Android. Now if you want it as your daily OS, I would strongly suggest it. You will be able to flash the recommended Radio / ROM combination so that you get the most functional build possible.
Without the right radio or ROM, you will have some unwelcome bugs.

since the day i bought hd2 until now it never been hspl yet in other word it still original official hd2 rom, here the descriptions:
os: 5.2.21869
manila: 2.5.19211619.0
rom: 1.66.707.1
radio: 2.07.51.22_2

I have stock T-Mobile US HD2 and I have not put HSPL or anything... it's even GSM locked to the carrier...
I managed to get FroyoStone series to work just fine; mccm build FRG33 and FRG 83 build as well... besides that I did try some builds like shubcraft or whatever the name is and it did not want to work due to screen freezes - so I just went back to mccm 1.5

anyway our advice is already stated there..
u want to install or not is depend on u..
any brick on ur phone will be responsible by urself..
You can run Android on a stock phone, but just be ready for any of the various annoyances with doing so, most common is audio issues like robot voice during calls. I tried it on stock Tmous HD2 for a while before finally loading up custom roms.
You might get lucky and not have the issues.

How do I know I am using the right radio?
Hi everyone I am going flash my first custom rom (RCMix HD v5.9.7) tonight. I was told to use the radio that works best for me, but how do I know am I using the correct one? What will happen if I use a wrong one?

Simply, put if it works without getting in the way you have the right radio. The perfect radio for you depends on many things; network, geographical location , usage patterns etc. my advice would be stick with the recommended one for your ROM and change it only if you have issues or a better radio, for your situation, is released.

There is no "right" one. Almost all of them will work with any ROM to some degree.
It's just that some work better than others (better signal, better battery life).
We haven't really come up with an objective way of judging this yet so it's best to try one or two out and see which one works the best for you. None of them "won't" work though.
For Gingerbread ROMs one of the latest two is probably the best.

Is there a particular way to know the perfect match between your radio and RIL? Or is that the same as knowing what radio works best?
As far as I know a RADIO will work with different RILs, but if you want the best performace you should take the one that is recommended.
Quote from jkoljo: "Matching radio and RIL is always a good combination when you think of signal stability and battery consumption. That is why you should flash a matching RIL when you flash a new radio"
In this thread is a list of RADIOs with matching RILs.

HMM am only trying to help fella am not just saying it might have them am saying its a FACT the other roms may be sound but the sense rom has graphic glitches end of story, insted of wasting peoples time creating a thread asking there opinions and then telling them there wrong when you havnt flashed a rom YET just test the rom yourself..!! So in that case come back when you have flashed sense onit and tell me that it hasnt got glitches....
