What can I do to solve this problem? Since March the 4th no new tweets have shown on my timeline. I've pressed the refresh button at the top numerous timed, and also refreshed by going through Menu > Update. The two arrows circulate for a few seconds then just stop with no new tweets showing. I have changed no settings.
Thanks
Have you tried un-installing the app and re-installing?

I didn't know this was possible as it was already on my phone, on the bottom bar you can scroll along (with messages, emails, internet, settings etc. on). I thought it was a permanent fixture.
How do I uninstall it safely?
just sign in and out that worked for me did the same thing this week.

Hi,
I have a strange problem with HD2 that appeared with no reason. When I tap on e-mail message from HTC Sense - nothing happens. Previously, when I tap on message, the message opens. It works on text messages, but not on e-mails. I did a hard reset, and it worked for several minutes, and then stopped again. I did not install anything.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Unless I'm mistaken, this is a known problem that (strangely) ties in to the lock screen not working properly. Go figure!
Open the windows start menu and select lock (bottom left softkey). Then unlock the phone. Once you've done that, you should be able to open email messages by tapping on them in the Sense UI.
There's a tweak in BsB Tweaks that is supposed to fix the lock screen issue, but it hasn't 100% fixed it for me. I just get it less. When I do, I do what I just suggested to you and it's okay again.
I'm sure that HTC will want to fix this at some point. Wait for the 4.01 ROM for that. (That was a joke - don't actually wait for the 4.01 ROM)
Thanks man, I just tried and it works! Yes, I have noticed that HD2 does not lock every time, but I didn't know that it has anything to do with this problem. Thanks again!

Glad you sorted it mate
Hello,
Does anybody know how to set the start of the week in the HTC calendar widget to monday instead of sunday? in the calendar app it's no problem, but the widget keeps showing sunday as the start of the week...
Sent from my HTC Desire using the XDA mobile application powered by Tapatalk
press on the widget to open the htc calendar.
press menu and select more.
choose settings off the popup menu
then calendar view setting
then first day of week and select monday radio button.

It changed fine for me... Perhaps try a restart? I sometimes get widgets not resetting themselves properly, and a restart usually fixes that.
Indeed, restart works for me

Not for me... After the restart the full screen calendar widget is still showing sunday as the first day of the week.

Great, now it does. Had it set back to Sunday, then back to the home screen. Then changing it back to Monday is the solution to my problem. Bug.....

Hi!
After applying the "one click lag fix" and installing the Autokiller app my Gmail app disappeared from the recent app list which comes up after long pressing the home button.
Is there any workaround to get it back in the list?
Thx!

Just maually launch the GMail app and it will show up in the list. The list shows 6 recently launched apps, not recently intalled apps, nor favorite apps.

Erm... it's not quite what I asked, sorry. I said it doesn't show up in the list anymore, not that I just installed it or that it's my favourite app.
Even if it's running in background I can't select it - cause it's not there anymore.
Any help?

So you mean it even disappeared from the programm menu ? It´s because the recent programm list (long pressing Homebutton) ist different to the programm menu. At least there it should appear. If you launch it from there it will show again in recent programm list.
Come on guys... it's not my first day of using the phone.
It's in the programm menu, it's widget is my homescreen - it just doesn't appear in the "recent program list" anymore. So I can't switch, say, between my browser and my Gmail app anymore.
I don't know how I should explain it in a different way. The app doesn't show up in the recent program list anymore when I long press the home button. It's gone, even if it's running in background and was the LAST app I had opened.
So? Doesn't somebody know something about this?
Visual Task Switcher would be an alternative. I quite like the app, it's a bit slow when using default (home to launch), but when launching from the home page, widgetlocker or quickdesk it's super fast and I find it to be more functional than the recent app list.
So to summerize what OP says: GMail doesn't register as a recently used app, either when launched from the application list or from a widget.
Now that's really strange indeed.
The lagfixes out there do move key Android datastores around, so the obvious test would be to undo the lagfix and see if the problem persists.

Your summary its absolutely correct, that's my problem.
I guess you're right, I should undo the fix and check it out. But first I should nandroid my device. However the result turns out, I will keep the OCLF and will have to live with with the error if it persists. I also seem to be the only person having ever encountered the error.
I just thought there could a workaround to get it fixed.
You say it does not register as a recent app. Maybe that's the point where one could look for a solution...
Maybe try clearing the cache and data of the gmail app then reboot?
Dont worry Phandroid, I just noticed Im having the same issue. I just yesterday updated from jf5 to jm2 with Kies and I've not applied any lagfix. Also, I'm 80% sure I had this issue bäwith older firmware also.
I will try to find out a solution.
Edit: Okay, I realized that when launching from menu it does appear on recent programs list, but launched from desktop it doesn't. I remoced Gmail desktop shorcut and readded it and now it appears correctly.

OMG! Why in the world didn't I think of such a simple solution? It worked indeed. Thank you very very much!
Great
Gmail was auto-added on desktop by default with the firmware so that probably had something to do with it not appearing on recently ran apps list. Other apps that were on desktop by default I've removed so I cannot test if it concerns all default app shortcuts...
Hi,
Installed the ROM a few days ago, suddenly the tiles for Hotmail + Messaging aren't updating? If I get a new message I don't seem to get any notification at all?
Im stuck for ideas as to why this is happening. I've tried removing the tiles + rebooting. I don't want to have to Hard Reset, but I think this may be my only option?
Any thoughts?
Thanks
Edit :
Fixed it, installed the Xap attached.
I had to hard reset... Now I'm reinstalling everyting from scratch to see what messed my tile's push :-(
SAME thing happened to me. I hard reset and am playing it very carefully..
I installed everything (Chevron + WLid activation, xplorer, weather app, facebook...) and my tiles still work. I just skipped the disabling of the system logs (by registry keys).
Maybe it's the problem? The solution could be reverting to factory defaults for those keys.

Are you having the problem on wifi or 3G? I have wifi at home and all of my live tiles work pefectly. However, when I am on 3G/HSPDA my internt explorer and live tiles seem to stop working (I was still able to check email though). I really noticed this today at work where I just couldn't keep a connection. Once I got back home with wifi - all of the live tiles worked.
Very strange.
doesnt work as well
they worked the first time i synced my emails
a reboot and its gone
Hmm, It seems to be over both Wifi and 3G? I did a hard reset and it worker temporarily but seems to have stopped working again once I installed some Apps.
Odd, very odd. Il try and pinpoint which app has caused it.
In case this helps, here is what I did last time that at some point broke my notifications (soft reset in between each step):
1. Did the whole routine to get up and running.
2. Uninstalled the three deployed apps.
3. Installed Facebook, Twitter, HTC Flashlight, HTC YouTube.
5. Reinstalled two of the three apps (the ones besides Connection setup). Removed the debug registry keys by this method.
6. Uninstalled the two apps from step 5.
At this point the notifications stopped working.
It seems to be related to the XML file you deployed to edit the registry keys. Try to delete it and re run connection setup to reset your provider settings.
Solution.
I installed this Xap. Found it attached to the first post here :

is that the correct behaviour for the tiles?
Yep it is.

Yeah, there were quite a few bugs with 1.2.8. I had to send a full bug report to Motorola, as did others.
Some issues included:
Notifications not working with certain apps
AN failing to wake the screen when device was moved
AN failing to wake the screen when a notification arrived
AN failing to open an app from the AN screen
Active display STILL doesn't show any notifications for me.

I turned off active display because any movement and it would turn on the clock and catch my eye which is very distracting and annoying, anyway to disable that without disabling the whole feature?
Mine was working perfect, did a factory reset to try and fix the high android OS usage and now it's not working. This is very annoying.

If you go into the Apps side of the Activity Display you should be able to un-check the Clock and it won't show it anymore.

I did that. Then remembered I took the Navigation buttons out via the Build.prop and had a hell of a time trying to reinstall everything without them. I use LMT Pie Controls so I had to reinstall them through the Play Store before I could reinstall all my other apps. I then took LMT Pie Controls and made them flashable so that the next time I do a factory reset I can just reinstall them via recovery.
What irks me most is that half my notifications aren't working a week after buying the phone. When they worked the day I got it. Gmail doesn't show up, 1Weather doesn't show up, the battery no longer shows up. Outlook does and Messaging does. I know Motorola said there was a problem with 1Weather not working properly but the day I set my phone up a little over a week ago it worked. Now all of a sudden it doesn't, and Gmail should work but doesn't.
Also, does the image verification thing for the forum ever go away? It's kind of a PITA to remember it's there when I post. Guys, I'm not a robot. Seriously.
I turned off the sleep function of active display and now my notifications are working. I haven't tried turning it back on to see if it would work but just something to try for those who are having an issue.

Did you reboot the phone after updating? It's a highly integrated system function. It should require a reboot after updating. I noticed it acted the same as 1.2.8 until I restarted the phone.

Turn the phone face down or cover the proximity sensor face-up.
Just a suggestion. When some apps get updated like line app and some other apps, they get unchecked in that active notification select apps menu/setting. I have to go back and manually check them again to show up on active display.
