Flash back to Original Rom

Hey guys... because I want to send back my polaris (bluetooth doesn't work anymore) I flashed back from KhanX Diamond v5.0 to the Original Touch Cruise German Rom. Worked well.. just the first bootscreen, where the KhanX Logo shows up is still there. How can I remove that? Please.... really need your help

flash your device with stock wwe rom, and then flash the german one. Is that german rom realy a stock rom or a dump and recontructed one?

I got that rom from this forum. I think it is a dumped one.. what is a stocked rom? And how do I get one?

Take a look here for all the collected Polaris ROM's http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=373233, the only German posted ROM is from an XDA-Orbit 2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=369723&page=2 not sure if thats your device?
I guess the best bet is to flash the latest WWE international ROM, and then change the language to German after the instal.

Start, settings, system, regional settings, drop down box for laungage..

Flashed my device with a stock wwe a minute ago... bootscreen is fine now..
Now I'm going to flash the dumped german rom over it and last but not least back to the original bootloader... thanks for your help..

ahhh tried the regional settings. that doesn't change the language. It changes the way time and date is displayed... nothing else.

When you chance regional setting that is NOT change your ROM language, that would be too easy If you forexample want a german language you must flash a german language rom offcourse.

SatScan could you please enlighten me why there was a need for another newest shipped ROMs thread? I appreciate the effort but you are in the one l3v5y started as well (3rd post) wouldn't you agree it makes more sense to keep them in one place?

Hello, I wanted to know whether I could flash a Dutch version into a WWE OS for the HD2. Here is the answer I got from HTC Support :
"I would suggest that you wait till the 13th as buying a dutch device means you will not be able to install an UK updates or the UK version of the OS as doing so would require you to hack the device and that is nto recommended or supported in any way and it would also void your warranty.

Ola,
If you did read the WIKI (yeah XDA have a good one) you found that you need to change your SPL.
So you have to wait for a hacked HD2 SPL.
You can also read there that there are to ways;
HARD spl, The hacked spl is allways there
JUMP spl, only a startup for flash a other rom that time.
Also you can read there how bring back your phone to default if ít's needed, sending to servicecenter and so on...
So keep a eye overhere and read the WIKI

Yeah (WWE) i think so there is no UK version jet...
If you gonna try... the HD2 has a CID lock so will not flash with the wrong country ROM.
You can set SENCE countrycode with a reg tweak.

Does this mean you can flash it with offical rom without hardspl? (chinese to wwe)

firstly use sn and imei code and check your phone's regional country .after that choose the correct regional english official ROM.
for example . your phone is english east european countries. you can download the English East Europe official ROM and directly flash without any hspl. I tried and it successed .

Thanks. Applied the WWE Europe update to my UK HD2. Initial impressions are that typing seems easier.

Is the final as I read from other guys who test it...but let's see.
It doesn't say that is TEST version...at least the Europe...

They´re all Shipped roms, newest update from HTC to HD2 users.
The diff between the 1.48 and the 1.43 is that some bugs found on 1.43, such as calendar bug, are now fixed, there´s also some updated apps in there, (Messaging, IME, Manila, Social networking, etc..).

What do you guys use for reinstalling all applications after a rom update?
I just updated my ROM from Dutch to English WWE, and do not really want to start installing all the applications again.
Can I make a backup with Spb Backup, and than use the backup to reinstall all the applications?

Maybe it's only for unbranbded phones sold in UK? Gold Card should solve the problem, if you can extract the rom file.

You Have an EASTERN EUROPE rom on your HD2. you need to wait till the same version is released or use the gold card method to flash the Europe WWE version (which is in effect Western europe & WWE)
HTC really need to sort out their rom naming..
We have 4 or 5 WWE rom versions.. they can't all be World Wide English!

Hi, is your phone from CSL/1010 or from Broadway or other retail stores? I was wondering what ROM those come in.
The CSL 1.48 ROM is VERY FAST even compared to cooked ROM. Super stable as well.

yes, it's CSL 1.48 i'm pretty happy but have SMS problems and kinda want to flash roms but i want to have the official as insurance

asia wwe rom 1.48.707.2 has Chinese input. at least I'm using it now (in Singapore), although it's simplified chinese, not traditional chinese

I don't think it's newer, just because the 831.0 is an English UI with Chinese support and input, the 832.1 is a Traditional Chinese UI with Chinese support & input.The digital compass somehow dosen't work so well in my current rom(832.1）.
The ram is almost the same.

The CSL bloatware just comes up if you pop in a CSL sim card during initial set-up, no? I'm assuming this is the stock ROM, so it'd have the CSL stuff in it?
I bought my HD2 from Broadway, and when I was in HK I had a CSL simcard, so the set-up options came up on first boot.

Assuming the result you want is a stable system in English with chinese input support, possibly the best solution would be to install the 1.66 Asian WWE to your Leo. Mine is done this way and the result is really pleasing.
Mind you that for the best result in displaying chinese in programs like media player, you better install the cabs as explained in this thread:

I don't ever use Chinese at all, I just bought my phone in HK whilst I was on holiday, so I'd like to have that stock ROM in case I want to go back to it after mucking around with other ROMS.
TBH, I've got everything set the way I like it at the moment, and I cannot be bothered redoing everything again right now. Maybe when I Have a bit more time
How's the 1.66 Asian WWE ROM compared to the stock HK rom? One thing thats still pissing me off is the pink patch in photos despite installing the fix from HTC Hk's website.

So if I flash my HD2 with the "RUU_Leo_HKCSL_WWE_1.48.831.0_Radio_Signed_15.28.50 .07U_2.05.51.05_2_Ship.exe" ROM, can anyone confirm whether it would automatically install the CSL bloatware even if I'm using another carrier (e.g. smartone-vodafone or PCCW)? Or is there an option to bypass the CSL applications?

hi muffin. i've got a hkCSL HD2. i can confirm that the "bloatware" only comes up if you have a CSL or 1010 sin inserted also i think there is an option to not install it if you do! i am using the HD2 in the uk now with a Vodafone sin and no "bloatware". i hope this answers your question.....

It is safe to install a ROM from a different country the only trouble is you might not get your preferred language.

HELLO
STOP It is not safe to install rom for other country unless you have installed HSPL. If you try then you will stuck at boot loader. Please be clear before you advice someone.
If you want to install any rom please install HSPL first. Then your choice of Rom. If you don't want to install HSPL then wait for your stock HTC rom update for your Device serial number.
I hope you did not tried yet.

Ok guys. Thank you for your advice. I waited for yours answers and didn't flash my device with another ROM. Patience is gold.

my ROM vs is 1.48.479.1 (71294) WWE... .there is the 1.66 on htc website for WWE but when i enter my S/N it says it is not correct... how's that? regarding the language... on first boot it asked me what language to use... i chose RO and it said to wait 3 minutes... the question is... the translation is htc or my service provider?
and how it is regarding radio upgrades?... do they really help?

There is a WWE and WWE Eastern Europe. You need Eastern Europe version.
If you flash original ROM, it is with Radio ROM, newer Radio has better sensitivity, little battery drain, faster GPS fix etc....
If you use HSPL, you can flash any ROM and any Radio ROM, not only official...

Eastern Europe version v 1.66
Guys there is a Eastern Europe version v 1.66 floating around for some time which it will install without problem. Also there is a 1.66 version on sunnysoft page : http://sunnysoft.cz/download/HTC/ROM_Leo_HTC_WWE_EastEurope_1-66.zip the one who is doing localization this link is brand new until couple of days there were stil 1.48.

Personally I am using the 2.08 version but this is due to the ROM I am using; I can not say that is much better or worse than the "default" one. The best one is the one you consider it right.
