Hey all,
I know everyone here is a Hero user probably. I'm a current HTC Touch Pro user and wanted to switch to the HTC Hero. However, today the Samsung Moment was announced and hardware wise it seems to be everything I wanted from the Hero...but without the software (HTC Sense). I'm very familiar with the HTC interface through Touch Pro rom hacks/upgrades and would want the Sense UI on the Moment (and am assuming it may be possible but only through Rom flashes not just an apk install). Anyway, what other reasons would you all say its worth just getting the Hero? Or should I just wait the extra 3 weeks and get the Moment? Ugh, so frustrating...thanks!
Always have faith in the people here at XDA
That said you have 30 days to exchange......

Except that the Samsung phone might never "feature" here as it's not an HTC device!
Regards,
Dave
I also reached this dilemma, but have decided to purchase the Hero when it comes out on sunday, and if I dislike it, I'll have the 30 days to use it then trade it for the Moment. I too would desire the sense UI on the Moment, and also I haven't read anywhere if the Moment's screen is capacitive or not.
I'm pretty sure both the Hero and the Moment have capacitive screens.
I'm in the same boat as you -- currently using a Touch Pro and extremely sick of Windows Mobile. Is Sense UI a bigger improvement over the standard Android interface than, say TouchFlo is over Titanium? Because I'm fine with Titanium. I actually prefer that it's so much snappier than TF3D.
Also, does XDA ever support non-HTC phones? Will there ever be roms for the Moment? It just seems like a far better choice than the Hero, hardware-wise.
Awesome, if it's capacitive, I am definitely getting it.
I like the Sense UI because of the widgets and customizing aspect of it, easy access to twitter, facebook, contacts, etc...
But I will sacrifice it for better hardware
Capactive yes, but I have yet to read if it supports multi touch. Thats the screen factor I'm most interested in. This makes for much better on screen typing. The on screen keyboard is pretty good in landscape, so I'll live without the qwerty. It's one more mechanical system to fail as well.
From what I've seen the HTC interface on Andoid does not cause much lag as opposed to TF3D does to winmo. I came from a touch diamond to the touch to run the android port and it's sick, even stripped down android is better than winmo imo.
I pre-ordered the hero from Best Buy and am a rewards zone member, so I get to pick mine up tomorrow (they have them in tonight ) Reading that post on the Moment introduction gave me second thoughts, but the phone prior to the Diamond was an Instinct, leaving a bad taste in my mouth.
So which phone does everybody think they will mod the most...?..The Hero since its HTC or the Moment...I do like the physical keyboard on the Moment, but I will be picking my Hero up tomorrow..I am so confused...I hate it..LoL..
Although I'm HTC all the way, I have to say, Samsung has them beat in every category really in my playbook. Yes the 5MP on the Hero is better and the device is more pocketable (plus of course Sense which brought up this original dillemma) but I have to wonder, aren't most of the sense widgets (except say the dialer and the contact interface) just simple .APK files that I can put on the Moment if I go that route? I must say though, I think a phone's software is what makes the hardware shine. That being said, a lot of great hardware implemented the wrong way could lead to a fast but not so useful device. The dillemma is killing me but gladly I do have a Touch Pro, so I can live with a custom rom until Nov comes around and maybe even Dec so I can see the progress of porting the Hero's sw.
for me the question is 800 mhz and qwerty....oorrrr.....htc sense...i reallllly love sense...like alot alot it works great on my magic..but man 800mhz cpu is gonna be really great for flash content and emulators and hopefully somebody starts making a psx emulator for android
...but then again im pretty sure someone is going to port sense to the samsung if the brilliant developers here are able to port moto blur to g1s and magic
I'm in the same boat. I've been planning on getting the Hero since hearing it would be available on Sprint, but just saw the details of the Moment today and it gave me reason to reevaluate.
I prefer the Hero in every way except for the faster processor and the camera flash of the Moment. The OLED screen is a wash because although the picture is better, I've heard the transflective LCD screens are easier to read in direct sun, which is an important feature for me. I don't have an opinion on the trackpad vs trackball. And I think I'm in the minority because I'd rather not have the physical keyboard if it means any additional bulk. I also like what I've heard in the Hero reviews of the build quality and solid feel, while the first hands-on reports of the Moment comment that it feels "plastic-y" and a little cheaper. I've been pleased with the quality of the HTC phones I've had in the past and I think their support is pretty good too as far as getting updates out for their devices. Never dealt with Samsung before.
So, I'm still planning on sticking with the Hero and hopefully will have it in the next few days.
Ehh, if I was a keyboard junkie I'd go for the Moment. But I'm not; haven't had a hardware keyboard since 2007. I will be picking my Hero up tomorrow though.
It's good to see I'm not the only perturbed by this. Until yesterday, I was ready to wait until December for something bigger and better to come along. To prepare, I decided to figure out how much something like the TP2 would cost me. Even with full upgrade credit, I'd have to dish out $350 to get it.
The problem for me is that I'm waiting for something even higher-end (Android, i.e. 1Ghz + VGA+ resolution) than the TP2, so now I'm considering lowering my expectations and going for either the Hero or the Moment.
My problem with both phones is that the resolution (320x480). Why couldn't they have at least VGA like the TP!?
I have the hero and prefer SenseUI over standard Android (gf has the g1). The faster processor on the moment is a nice touch but I find the Hero's speed to suffice for my needs. Plus I love all the HTC widgets that don't come with standard Android..e.g. Peep, weather, etc. I think the next worthy upgrade is the HTC Dragon and the release date on that one is anyone's guess.
I have the same dilemma myself. I prefer the smaller size and virtual keyboard of the Hero as well as the sense ui.
The Moment's 800MHz processor will probably help with future Android enhancements which is important, since I will be with either the Hero or Moment for the next 2 years.
The Moment's camera is also most likely superior to the Hero's given Samsung's track record of decent optics. The Hero may have 5 MP, but every review says that its quality is only mediocre. Samsung phones have generally been very good despite lower resolutions. Since most of the time all my pictures are scaled down anyway, and neither of these are digital camera replacements, I would call the 5 MP/3 MP difference moot.
Also, it appears that the Moment may have better battery life judging purely from estimated talk time.
The camera and battery performance need to be verified though, so it looks like we will have to wait for a proper review.
It's a tough choice. While I would prefer HTC's sense ui, I really don't mind Android's vanilla interface either so it's more of a virtual keyboard/size/battery life issue for me.
If I know XDA well enough they'll be able to extract the Sense UI pretty quickly. Further, I could see rom cooks build this into future custom roms on the Samsung Moment.
Call me advantageous coming from a Touch Pro scene. I have complete faith in custom roms as they have provided real value to the TP with innovation pushing the scene.
After living with a slide out keyboard I find it much more reliable than a touch screen. So I'll be going with the Moment (unless another awesome device is released!)
I too am in the same boat as the others. With the announcement of the moment I am now puzzled at what route to go. I really would like SenseUI and have it natively built for my device like on the hero but im certainly a keyboard junkie. I will have to get both in my hand for a bit to be able to decide. If the build quality of the moment feels anything like the pre ill be off to the hero in a heartbeat.
Buy the Hero now, it'll be that much quicker till your contract expires and you can buy the Dragon in a year (18 months if not a premier customer)...

The res may be smaller than the Touch Pro, ( which I just switched from ) but the screen is bigger, and it really looks just fine. I have an easier time reading the web with the Hero than I did with my TP. I wasn't really sure I could deal with a non-hardware keyboard, but am finding myself doing just fine with it. That said, November 1st and the Moment are less than 30 days away, and I don't think we've seen all the specs on the Moment, I'm looking forward to some of the Phone review websites getting their hands on one to see what they think. I imagine that someone somewhere will find a way to pull Sense out of the Hero, so it can be installed on other Android phones.
Doesn't the Samsung only have 256mb of RAM to the Hero's 288? That could be a dealbreaker.
Hello,
I am extremely fascinated with these two new phones by htc but i can't decide which one to buy. I have been watching videos all over the internet and reading the reviews from the MWC and other hands-on from many sites and still i am in dilemma. I LOVE the design of the legend but i want the power of Desire.
The reason i have this thread here is if anyone can tell me what are the differences between the two phones.
First of all i know the differences below, so if they are the ones you know i'd be gratefull if we don't fill the thread with the same ones over and over again.
1) 1Ghz Snapdragon Vs 600mhz MS7227
2) 3.7" Vs 3.2" Screen
3) 576MB Vs 384MB ram
4) Divx out of the box for desire no for legend.
Ok these are the differences i know for sure and i haven't found anything else. I am asking if anyone knows other ones especially if the ones i am gonna mention here are true or just rumors to get the customers buy the desire.
1) I read that the HTC Legend will not get the flashplayer 10.1 like Desire (will it at least have the flash lite like hero ?)
2) The browser used in the desire is the same as in the legend or is it an upgraded and better version of it ???
3) and something unrelated, is the difference in cpu so much of a problem for the legend???
Thanks and i hope someone will give me answers At least until april when i'll buy one of the two!!!
exactly the same boat, want the design of the Legend but with the screen and power of the Desire. Coming from a Touch HD, I don't really want to loose the screen size, think I'm still going for a Legend though, the Desire looks too much like a Touch HD!
Going to go SIM free though this time so I can swap it easily
One more difference between the 2 devices according to this thread is that the Legend will not have live wallpapers like the Desire.
Not much of a deal-breaker for most, I assume.
Regarding Flash 10.1, this article is worth a look.
Regardlesss, I'll be getting one of these for my wife when it releases. She needs a device that can take a beating. I gave her my Touch Diamond a few months ago. It was in near-mint condition at the time but now, the battery cover is scratched and a corner is broken off. I'm hoping the aluminum unibody design can help.
Personally, I'm pretty much set on getting the Desire for the sheer horsepower...
What about video recording mode?
We know the Desire will have HD recording but what about the Legend??
I hope it's not the wacky 320x240 of the Hero

Any links to confirm the HD recording capabilities of the Desire?
This was a rumored feature and ever since the device was announce at MWC, there's been multiple sites saying that it doesn't record video at 720p.
http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_s8500_wave_and_htc_desire_headed_to_tmobile_soon-news-1461.php
http://www.toptechreviews.net/mobil...ve-and-the-htc-desire-on-its-way-to-t-mobile/
This news source is the only one that lets me keep my hopes alive for 720p recording. But then, this isn't a feature that I'm too concerned about...
yes the 720p video recording doesn't really matters so much for me. as for the live wallpapers neither but it would be a nice touch to have. also i think it WILL have live wallpapers, i read somewhere that it has but even if it doesn't since the gpu is the same as the nexus it won't be an issue to port them to the Legend. my main concerns are for performance especially and the internet stuff.
Another question is if they support wifi routering or at least tethering
The Legend is a sexy piece of hardware on the outside.
I will buy the next version once they upgrade the inside more with a Cortex chip instead of a cheapo one
I was very exited for both the Legend and Desire but yesterday when I red the review of GsmArena about the Amoled screen of the Nexus 1...I think I will take a Hero now
Why? Because they said the Amoled screen of N1 and most probably Legend/Desire is unreadable under direct sunlight
As long as I remember the Hero has been well reviewed about this particular detail which is important for me
Even if there is a lot of disaturation in direct sunlight there is no way you can't use the phone. and are you going to watch a movie or do something which takes time while standing in sunshine ??? i guess not
im so confused about which 1 2 get.
i definately want the HTC Legend as i had a Hero and like staying with my own.
but the power of the Desire is amaizing.
I don't understand why there is ANY debate about this at all. The Desire is better than the Legend in every spec. Infact, the Legend doesn't seem to be a big upgrade over the Hero imo, unless I am missing something?
yeah but desire looks like it was chewed, swallowed and digested compared to the legend...i mean desire is not ugly at all,but legend kicks ass....and umm does any of you guys maybe know the price range for any of those?
well according to clove.uk
HTC Desire = 464euro plus 25euro shipping(cyprus fedex)
HTC Legend = 426euro plus shipping
the gap between them is so little that makes me even more confused!!!
Isn't it too soon to have final prices?
The Desire and Legend will be released in mid-April right?
these prices are for preorder!!!
The design of this baby is so full of win, that I am willing to compromise with the specs.

me too....
I like the construction quality. This thing can take one serious beating be fore tossing in the towel. Would be nice to have that with the desire.
i wish the desire would come for cdma. at least the scorpion looks like a sprint phone. i fell like android+HTC will make me upgrade phones every few months. i wonder if i a cell company will do 6 month contracts. lol
i reallly dont care about looks, i have the G1 and thought it was the most beautiful piece of equipment when i got it. i hope the new phones will keep call funtionality
The thing that's confusing me is the price
the desire is only 10 euros up from legend ?

looks like clove is kinda drunk
Well, it's upgrade time on my contract, and I have narrowed it (quite easily) down to two devices, the Legend and the Desire.
The legend will cost me exactly nothing to upgrade to, and the Desire will cost a little (a lot) more than I can currently afford.
My question is, do I look for a way to afford the Desire or go for the Legend?
Please give your vote and a comment/reason, or suggest a third/fourth.... device instead (X10 was considered and disgarded due to lack of multitouch and because I don't want to be left in the dust with Android 1.6 until september).

i would go for the legend
because, 1ghz snapdragon processor, its newer so will be supported longer by htc, better battery life (legends is s***)

You meant desire, right?
Otherwise there is no sense in your sentence
Well that depends on how much you have to pay for the desire. Let me sum up for you what the desire has and the legend doesn't.
Desire:
Flash support, 1Ghz snapdragon, bigger screen thus resulting in more space for fingers to land in..... higher resolution 480 X 800 WVGA RAM: 576 MB
vs
Legend
No flash support (well probably it wel get flash from xda members. But according to adobe it won't run smooth on the legend and our hero's)
600Mhz processor, same screen size as hero 320 x 480 HVGA only 384 mb ram
Hope that helps you out a bit.
If you have a hero and you would buy a legend you'd only see some improvement in the speed section, it's probably not fully capable to run future android version (and the desire is since it's able to run flash 10)
If you buy a desire you buy the fastest htc around, with probably more support in later versions.
If I was in your position,... I'd switch to a sim only contract, then wait for something similar to the incredible.
I was planning on getting a desire this month,... but am still happy with my hero (even more now its overclocked).
I reckon I'll be happy for another 3 - 6 months yet. I'd just like a slightly better camera,.... n a hardware keyboard would be nice.
I know, I know,... you could end up waiting forever wanting something slightly better then whats currently on the market to come out.
None of them.
I'm looking forward to devices like the samsung galaxy S, Lumigon t1, Motorola Shadow.
My next device won't be one from HTC.
I'm watching how often HTC is updating their new devices, desire and legend. If they do it better than they do it on hero right now, my device after the next device will be one from HTC again.

None of them wasn't an option, if you don't have anything to do rather then put htc on your blacklist that's you're choice, don't try to decide for others.
And samsung never ever released an update afaik so have fun with your never upgradebla samsung. And I haven't seen motorola giving any updates either.
Stop nagging
If I were you I would go for the Desire, unless another Snapdragon is due to b integrated into devices then you are at least going to get enough time with the latest handset during your contract before you start seeing thinks like 2.2+ render you phone old...
Something with 720p video, a snapdragon cpu and 2.1 shipped, wouldn't go a miss!
I also considered the X10 for the cracking cameras Sony add but like you say the 2.1 update is a a fair bit off, and they haven't even rooted it yet afaik..
I had a quick go on a mates Desire, and its defiantly faster and the bigger screen is nice but I didn't feel it was the amazing leap over the Hero that most people have made it out to be. If there is no rush I would defiantly wait another 6 months to see whats available then. Maybe the 2.2 update will wow me more but thats just my current opinion.

Agree.. + don't forget that htc is using cheap hardware (eg: SoC*, display**), so if you want pure performance go with an ARM Cortex + PowerVR.
* i prefer the arm cortex + power vr combination, even motorola milestone at 550 Mhz is better (thanks to PowerVR) on some tasks than the over hyped snapdragon cpu.
** see the multiple videos that show the multitouch bug, htc is using a cheap dualtouch display ..
I don't trust anymore qualcomm/htc combination. tired of crap performance.
So, my next device will be one with ARM Cortex + PowerVR + a proper multitouch display (eg: such as in motorola milestone). If you want true performance I recommend you this combination.
Neither for me..
The Desire has a pentile AMOLED display that isn't TRUE WVGA (RGB subpixels in one pixel)
Both the Desire and Legend use ClearPad 2000 for their touch screens which do not have proper multitouch support (same problem with N1)
I'd wait a little longer for the next round of FroYo devices
just got the missus a wildfire, and to be frank the screen is a joke, now i might send it back to 3 and get a hero, but does the bluetooth (phone to phone file sending) work on 2.1? as it didnt on 1.5
and what do people think that have used/owned both, is the hero a better phone
thanks
Hi there!
I haven't used the wildfire, so I can't compare these two.
But I can assure You, that hero with 2.1 can use bluetooth without ny problems or difficulties.
With regards
brat.haneq
Hero is older than wildfire, but has larger screen etc.
I think wildfire and hero are similar specs, but Iirc wildfire has accelerated 3D, which hero lacks.
I like my hero, but I wouldn't buy another one today, as it's about a year old.
I don't use bluetooth though, so can't comment on it.
i thought the wildfire screen was capacitive? what specifically is wrong with the screen? it could be a hardware issue as the Hero did have problems with the bottom of the screen not responding.
Not had my hands on the wildfire but if you were to sell it how much would you get for it as it should be enough to cover hero fees.
Alough the HTC Hero is an older model so I should think the wildfire will be better. It's just a smaller desire.
BT does work on the 2.1 heros, just tested between mine and a winmo phone.
Wildfire has smaller resolution (meaning less apps natively avaliable, without using a hacked market). But also has more Ram. Also has camera flash and smile detection.
They have the same processor speed as stock, although the wildfire is a slightly newer revision. The screens are both 3.2inch.
I have had a 5 minute play with the Wildfire in a shop - and to be honest, the resolution urked me too, and despite all of the quirks I would still take a Hero over the wildfire.
but thats just my opinion.
seeing as the hero and the wildfire are similarly priced on a 3 contract, id go with the hero.
the difference between the two is the ram and resolution, wildfire having the better ram.
id rather have better res than more ram, so id go with the hero.
3 currently have the white hero on payg for £160 refurbed. i bought one and it looks like new.
Same here... In my opinion if I have to choose between the wildfire with 512mb of ram and a lower resolution screen and the Hero, I would definitely choose the hero.. it lacks of Flash for camera as well, but at the end of the day when it's rooted it rocks!!
hello guys,
i'm currently not sure about what i'm thinking, my Desire HD order will probably arrive at 15th November, and the new phone is going to be announced at the 8th... so should i cancel my order and wait for the new Samsung phone? or keep waiting??
i dont even want to wait for the releasing period for the new Samsung, which i think i may get it by December???!!!!
oh God
im in the exact situation! but this is what i plan on doing.
Keep my order, get the desire and play around with it. I'll see what Samsung announce, if it's much better and a worthy upgrade from the DHD then i'll put it up on eBay. Im sure i won't make much of a loss selling it there. Some people pay crazy money
But ultimatly what's most important to me is root, and if the devs here can't crack the DHD's protection, then i'll have little choice but to sell and get the N2.
Wren nexus one was released the phone was available the same day as the announcement. There has been talk that google will be selling it direct again this time round though I m not convinced it ll be on the same day. However, there shouldn't be long wait like DHD.
Personally I m not sure if it ll be a better phone, as I hated everything there is about Galaxy S. It ll basically be Gingerbread vs almighty DHD on Froyo, assuming HTC won't be bothered to update DHD to gingerbread any time soon. I m sticking with DHD for now unless Samsung has real trick up it's sleeve this time. I find it hard to convince myself to put up with another dreadful Galaxy S alike experience.
Sigh.. Only if HTC is more ethusiatic about it's software upgrade and Motorola is more keen about Android...
Sansung's got really nice hardware(only nice in figures) but their system craps, will think about it if it will get a none plastic-like surface and system designed by google itself.
So far the news ive read tell that in terms of hardware its not good, it will be more of a developer test machine since it brings 2.3.
I think Google is committing suicide by letting Samsung handle Nexus Two
Speculation so far:
Code:
[COLOR=#333333][FONT=Arial]
- Stock Google Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)- 1.2 GHz processor (mostly overclocked Hummingbird or may be different model)
- 4 inch AMOLED display (Could be Super-AMOLED version)
- 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and HD video capture, front-facing camera
- 512 MB RAM, 16 GB internal storage
- Support for multiple carriers
- All the usuals like WiFi, Bluetooth, 3.5 mm headset jack, etc.
- Outer casing is a mix of metal and plastic materials
[/FONT][/COLOR]
I had a Nexus that was stolen from me, god how i miss that phone
As a replacement i am getting the Desire HD through the insurance i had on the Nexus.
However having been on the gravy train that is Android Dev phones (G1 & Nexus one) i must say that the Desire HD doesn't seem to be a worthy upgrade from the nexus, i was pretty psyched in the beginning about the Desire HD but the more i learn about it the less it appeals to me.
The screen isn't Amoled; the touch sensor isn't unlimited like i assume it will be on the Nexus two (Galaxy S :Atmel maXtouchsensor),
The battery is not 1500mha - honestly even if the cpu is much more power efficient than the old generation cpu's why not throw in a bigger battery?
And no front facing camera which in itself isn't a deal breaker but cmon, its not like we are buying budget phones here anyways...
As already mentioned possibly only one software upgrade during it's life time which to be honest is quite average however Google Dev phones always has the latest & greatest.
Not to bash on the Desire HD, but honestly its just a EVO with a new CPU minus the frontfacing camera and kickstand.
I will most probably test out the Desire HD and and change to Nexus Two if it seems better in some of these aspects.
Evo 4G is prettier, i would change from a DHD to a Evo 4G or incredible HDin a snap if it wasnt not being able to use it in europe. Why HTC only makes good phones for the US ?! Why are we treated like **** !?
you might as well ask why did the us implement WCDMA or 4G while the rest of the world is stil 3.5G (even in Japan..i think)??
they cater to the specific market needs.
same as Japanese mobile carriers, they only produced their phones for their markets in consideration only.
which is why they are highly sought for

Europe get the release first for nearly all HTC phones.
the US get rebranded versions. they also get some different phones because they use rubbish CDMA technology.
people hating on the desire hd, if you own one/owned one and played with it and made the comments fair enough. until then you have no right what so ever to "review" a phone you haven't used.
i own one for over a week and i have to say its a great phone.
the phone does have root,be it temporary at the moment but things have to start from somewhere. i don't see the average user like some people here trying to obtain root, but moan and demand it.
i don't see the nexus two being an all awesome phone. the nexus one's bootloader got unlocked with 1 click because it was a development phone but it voided the warranty. how many people are going to risk that with a samsung built device?

absolutely my thinking. I already have the DHD, but if the protection cannot be unlocked, and the specs of the "Nexus two" are OK/confirmed, I have not choice as to sell the DHD. Having had the Nexus One (and still owning it), I am no longer tolerating manufacturers lock-downs! That is a no-go for me nowadays.
Plus: I HATE the speaker on the DHD - (same XXX as on the nexus one). And I really have a bad feeling about these plastic covers on the DHD (only a matter of time until they wear out).
If the "nexus two" has a decent design and better materials (less plastic than the iphone-look-alike Galaxy S), my decision is made...
Yes that's true but im talking in terms of quality, look at the Incredible HD (desire hd for US) and look how perfect it is compared with the Desire HD

people hating on the desire hd, if you own one/owned one and played with it and made the comments fair enough. until then you have no right what so ever to "review" a phone you haven't used.

Review ?! What the freaking hell, im talking in terms of product Quality/Design, from every single review and comment ive read theres flaws with the design of the Desire HD, look at EVO 4G and Incredible HD they are brilliant, the EVO 4G came up before the Desire HD any decent company would grab their design and improve it, not make it more ridiculous.
Ive ordered a Desire HD since the day 2 of its announcement then amazon screwed their customers and now im waiting on handtec 3rd shipment so you cant say im a anti Desire HD... freaking fanboys are starting already...

- 512 MB RAM, 16 GB internal storage
- Support for multiple carriers

i havent.
its what i would expect from it.
Hey, even Windows 7 can run on 1 gb of memory
Android 3.0 will run on lot less.
hard choise, n2 doesnt exist yet.
btw...I'd rather buy a google experience with a huge screen. actually, the only reason I didnt buy a galaxyS so far, is it's samsung software and the lack of a flash-led. DHD...I dislike how htc managed it

I've had the DHD for 5 days and to be honest I'm underwhelmed. I have the regular Desire and the DHD isn't that big of an upgrade. I'm not saying it's a bad phone, just that it's only a little better than the Desire. except speaker is no better than the Desire, infact I find it slightly quieter. Big screen is great if that's what you want, but AMOLED on Desire is more vivid an there seems to be a little motion blur at times.
No problem with proxomity sensor or plastic covers here btw.
I'm going to sell my DHD and wait for something a bit better.

OK - please share what did you expect DHD to be? Please tell me what evolutionary leap could be achieved in about six monts? And enough of the AMOLED thing! HTC are absolutely right not to put themselves dependant on one supplier that also happens to be their competitor. And when (not if) they are forced to switch to another technology, they will have to take the blame for it. Fool me once - shame on you, fool me twice - shame on me. You get bigger screen, more RAM and ROM, better camera, next gen CPU... what else can be desired in six months of evolution? 2GHz CPU? Not gonna happen! I personally would like from the phone to cook and clean, but that also woun't happen .
