I have tried the remove programs, then deleted the directory under program files then removed everything "valhalla" from the registry. No matte what I do it won't install because it says there is a previous install and then cannot remove it.
Ideas?
Thanks,
Jim

I've just started to make my own CAB files, and I would like to know how you can build one without any uninstall info. So after the installation there shouldn't be an entry in the uninstall section. TIA.
In e-PocketSetup 2003 that is an option
Thanks!
Thanks for the info.
Hi,
I have uninstalled from the JJ the etrust antivirus. However:
1) I see in windows/start up that a file called etrust antivirus (57b). Can I safely remove this one?
2) under Program/CA/etrust folder contains files. Can theese be removed?
In case I would like to reinstall the program, do I have to hard reset the device or it simply is in the included CD?
Thank you
Can CAB files be safely deleted once the program is installed??

Yes. The cab file is like the "setup.exe" on a PC and is safe to delete after installation.
Or better yet, what I do is keep all the latest versions of my favorite software in a folder on my storage card in case I need to reinstall or hard reboot or something.
hi i have a little problem...
can i from setup.dll find difference betwen uninstall app and reinstall app??
???????
I have no idea what it is you are trying to do here, but there is no such thing as "reinstalling app".
If you try to run a cab installation over an existing installation it will first go through the uninstall procedure (as best as it can, running programs can not be deleted) then install as usual.

Uninstall removes app without installing it again where reinstall removes app and installs it again. I hope this answers your question.
bleah..
ok but i need to see it from setup.dll
uninstall procedure should remove registry entries but if i simply reinstall app it shouldn't remove registry...
If you want to see what someone else's setup DLL does you need IDA and understanding of ARM assembler.
As for registry it depends: If the registry was added by code in setup.dll then the uninstall function in that DLL should be in charge of removing it.
If the registry was added through the inf file of the cab (not all cabs have setup.dll, it is optional) it will be removed by wceload.exe which processes the cab.
As I say at the title, it's really weer that after i install a new skin, the screen will show "tap here to lauch touchflo", but when i tap the screen, nothing happens. I do install the skin according to the instrcutions mentioned. I doubt whether there is a problem with the os?thks
I am having the same problem. I have to do a hard reset everytime I removed a skin.
If your running latest update of manila(18, not sure of 17), then the cab installs don't work. The image placements are slightly different which is why it can't find all the files and won't let you start it. Solution is to use the zip or m2dct files along with M2DC app to install your skins.
Not being able to find files that are removed during an uninstall will also cause touchflo to not be able to start.(post #2) Solution is to reinstall the original files or another theme that replaces the missing files.
