Android app - Android Software Development

Hi everyone,
i wanted to have an application to configure my settings, like email, internet access, proxies. Is it possible in Android? Is there some kind of registry where we can change that?
Also, i would like this application to launch the web browser or the email client, whenever i receive an SMS or phone call.. is this kind of stuff possible?
Thanks a lot!

Are there any PURE TEXT/SMS Aim clients?

I know OZ Instant Messaging uses Text, but is it all text? Like no data connection needed at all? If so, where can I get it for the XV6800?
If not, are there any AIM clients that use 100% text and no data out there?
ive also been looking for this.. Ive havent found anything.
do you need access to a Buddy List? AOL does free forwarding to your phone through text messages. Your can respond to the text messages as well, but you wont have access to a Buddy List if you want to initiate contact.
but im sure you knew that

Live Messenger Mobile?

I am looking for a cab of windows messenger. Can anyone help me out? Also, does anyone know if it will refresh automatically when someone sends a message? I only use WiFi and have data and text messaging disabled on my plan so I need it to work over WiFi.

A unified messaging app?

Hi guys,
just an idea, I don't know if any of you devs even like the idea or if it's possible, but here it is:
One app for all messaging, i.e. SMS/MMS/e-mail. Outlook Mobile already provides this, but it is possible to view only SMS/MMS or e-mail but not all of them together in one (per contact) thread and the app looks plain ugly . What I am talking about is a one-click access to ALL received messages, with contact based threaded view, finger friendly with possibilty to write messages from inside this app. So far I was not able to find something like this, they are always only for SMS or maybe sometimes e-mail, but there is no unified solution as far as I know
An ideal solution would be something like Resco contact manager but with possibility to have all types of messages per contact in one thread and the possibility to compose messages from that app.
Anyways that's it
Post your opinions/wishes/ or solutions maybe

sending sms via internet...

hi,
i found for a while cherry sms, a site where you can send cheap sms
trough internet. im already registriated myselfe and using it...
its easy to use with my homepc but on my xperia its a very diffucult,
because any number youll send a sms needs to be written down
or put into a adress book online on cherrysms site...
this is necessary because i cant copy and paste between my phone
book contacts in my xperia and the opera mobile browser...
for the iphone there is an application trough this youre able to send
sms via cherrysms without opening a browser, does anyone can program
something for wm 6.1 or now a software where i could conect to
cherry without beeing necessary to open opera mobile.
i thouught i would be nice haveing a software which is sendig
sms via internet connection without to go on the site of the
firm, you would save data usage...
Hi there.. There is something already in here, but I'm not sure if it will work with you site. This program uses sip accounts (which has low sms rates as well) to send the sms..
