I got a problem -- i'm not sure if this is a bug, but I cannot access any buttons on the screen when I call out
-- I cannot enable speaker
-- I cannot enable mute
-- I cannot add call
-- I cannot put the call on hold
-- I cannot hit the buttons under keypad and end call or any of those keys, the screen is literally unresponsive, I have to press the physical button to hang up.
I'm not sure what's going on. this is one of L26's older roms, I think I downloaded this rom on 2/18
If anyone has an answer please let me know, I would like to have these re-enabled. the screen doesn't respond to any of the presses.
if I slide around the end call or keypad I kinda get a response, but it's seldom.
Everything else is working great.

I got the same bug after flashing a new ROM. But I could solve it by disabling the "tap time" setting in BsB tweaks in my case. If you are using the above tool, try the above suggestion. Good Luck!
thanks,
I think I found another way around it
if you slide your fingers across the buttons it works, dunno if it was intentional, but it's annoying
I think your using L26's V1.2 CAB (brilliant, btw - still using it).
I recall picking up "L26 Lockscreenfix.cab" in an attempt to prevent my ear conferencing in friends whilst talking using the capacitive screen before I found the wonderful S2U2 application. I think that the L26 Lockscreenfix does exactly what you described. I don't recall if it's uninstallable but look at your installed programs list and see if it's listed.
Good luck. Tom

Is there any such dialer available that works bug-free with the Windows Mobile 6 Bell Canada Touch/Vogue, and provides an onscreen talk/call button? By default pretty much everything else can already be done via touchscreen, but to do talk/call you *HAVE* to use the physical hard green button, and that doesn't make sense. I'd rather be able to make the call via the touchscreen.
Also, something that preferably has the numeric keys and and all the call status keys (speaker, mute etc) all on the same screen, instead of having to toggle back and forth as with the default dialer, would be ideal.
Anything come close to this? Thanks...

are you talking about Minimal DIALER? there is cab file for download here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=395086
There is another one that I like better that is called the iphone dialer. I use it and love it. Here is the link.
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=25681&highlight=touch+iphone+dialer
This dialer, as a .cab install, does not have smart dialing. When I used Nexvisions manilla something something rom, this was the default dialer, smart dialing included. What gives?
Phone Screenlock as IPhone
Hi,
I have a Hermes, Niki phones
I miss a function found in IPhone "a sensor to lock the screen when you make an aproximity to the ear"
When you make a Phone call or Get incoming call and you move the phone near your ear, the Iphone screen get's dark so there is not unwanted "touch" of icons of the phone, Iphone has a proximity sensor check..
Right now I'm using an application "Phone Screen Lock fron palmarySoft" it works ok, but it's lock the screen just when the partner get's the call.. it's ok, but sometime there is enought time for unwanted touch with the "face" to an icon on the screen
Is there some other way to emulate a Iphone sensor (maybe with the front camera) or get the screen lock just after pushing the "green " button of the phone?
Any Idea??
Thanks!
Simple solution that I use (for lack of an automatic app that solves it for me):
As soon as I have dialed the number (or answer an incoming call), I briefly press the silver power on/off-button on the top of the Niki. That immediately blanks the screen and this way I can keep your ear to the phone without accidentally starting one or other application whilst I'm calling.

I use that, locks phone when in a call.

S2U2 has a function to switch off the screen during calls - plus the slide 2 unlock feature of the iPhone

EDIT:
Most of the problems in this post is SOLVED!
I have had my P3470 one day now, and I have to say I'm impressed. It's very quick in response, way more than my Qtek8310, which have the same CPU.
But, is it possible to get the kind of HOME where you have a "button" for changing profile?
Like this: (pic from a norwegian cruise)
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
How do I even change profiles on a original P3470? I havn't found anywhere to change the tone-volume.
And, is it possible to get a keyboard like this: (from cruise)
I'll rather have this, cuz my P3470 qwerty-keyboard doesn't have a question mark! The cruize-qwerty seems to have more buttons when pressing shift.
And one more thing, in the quick-start menu, the one on the home-screen where you can have shortcuts to apps, why cant i have shortcuts to a contact, if i want to call that contact much, this would be very time saving.
I would also like to have some hints about a working reg-editor... cant get resco to work, and not PHM.
EDIT:
ALL, but the contacts on shortcuts-menu, SOLVED!
For adding contacts in the home screen you have to press the icon of the person (the pic with the little head and shoulders) and then press on one of the squares with the plus sign in it. Easy as pie! for removing contacts press on the square with the "x" in a circle and then tap on the square with the contact you want to remove.
enjoy!
Tone Volume Adjust
To adjust tone volume, U can just use 'volume button' on the left side. Push either of them => two vertical bars appear on screen. <note this have to do when you not on call>
- Left vertical bar on screen for key-tone, music...and others.
- Right vertical bar for Ring tone
Old problems gone, new problems are here! Weee...
When I get a new SMS, the phone beeps, and the phone unlocks. Why? Who in the name of someone thought that was a good idea?
Can I do something to make it be locked, even if I get a message?
same happens if you get a call.
the phone unlocks sofar that you can reply. so if you get a call when phone is locked screen goes on and you can react... but when you hang up the phone is locked again
easy as pie, cant believe you didnt notice that.
Yes, calls are OK. But when i get a SMS, i want it so that the phone is locked until I press the power-button. It is often I cannot read the SMS when I recieve it. But when I get a sms my phone is living in my pocket, because it ulocks.

What can I do to fix this? Restarting the phone always fixes it (although that's not really a "solution" per se), sometimes restarting the phone app fixes it. Sometimes the keypad is there, but is up and to the right (off the edge of the screen, covering the leftmost side of the list of calls).
i think i had the same problem. try changing to landscape and back to normal.

My phone dialer doesn't rotate...
Yes, annoying this. I got the problem the other day then things went back to normal after a soft boot. I am aware that rotating the app does fix the problem (until the next time) but have never tried it.
To get your phone app to rotate, install BSB Tweaks. Once done select the phone app as an item to be rotated which should give you what you are looking for.

Thanks, this fixed it!
Wondering if there's been a better solution uncovered to this than "rotate the phone". That's not very fluid since the phone tends to rotate/unrotate in call and the keypad disappears again, making using menu options in voicemail (for example) much more of a pain than it needs to be.
Don't even understand how this is a problem, given that my TP2 had the same dialler and had no problems...
Bump ...
No chance for a response here...?

BTW, the dialpad issue has been fixed for at least two months now - there's a dll or a cab floating around somewhere

Still hoping for a reply...
Try overwriting the dll posted by fards with total commander or resco. Using wm 6.5 myself so haven.t tested.

Hello
I was making one application that would resemble more Android-like design: keyboard on the bottom, the main soft keys above it.
Well that is not possible to do both system-wide, but one half of that is. To move your keyboard to the total bottom of the screen, just edit registry:
Code:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sip:
DefaultMenuBarHeight=dword:0
MenuBarHeight=dword:0
what happens after reboot is this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Advantages? Extra 64px (on WM6.5.3 and similar) of screen, no useless soft keys in these occasions.
Now, how do you hide the keyboard? Just, as on Android, press BACK key (on HD2 tested, TP2 and TD2 should work the same I suppose, but make backup first ).
Regards, OndraSter
Update: it seems that it doesn't work on all ROMs. I was using CRACIN's HD2 ROM, where it worked. I now flashed GTX Energy ROM and it doesn't work. Weird.
There is no DefaultMenuBarHeight in Sip there is only MenuBarHeight.
I'm using htc touch2. How can i do this? Thanks
This is dependant on the ROM and SIP itself. Try changing the MenuBarHeight itself if it isn't enough.
Btw, this won't work with any newer position fix - like ultrashot's uTask, since it tries to fix the keyboard too.
Heyi tried to change the MenuBarHeight and it was okey then but pressing back button make me go to the homescreen so it isn't for me. Thanks anyway dude great job.
Appearantly Touch 2 works different than Leo
You're right !
Having disabled Utask's position fix feature, I was able to move the SIP vertical position to anywhere I wanted !
The DefaultMenuBarHeight value can be manually added (I did), provided it has any actual effect.
Unfortunately, the Back button generally applies to the current app rather than to the keyboard, that sometimes even stays open (it actually depends on the app ! ), so it can't be used straight on.
But there are a lot of alternatives, such as remapping a hardware key with AEButton plus (now freeware), for instance.
This nice trick should probably be best used with a SIP featuring it's own closing button, such as FingerKeyboard (though it already has an option to overlap the softkeybar in landscape mode, and since it's fully customizable, you should be able to setup the vertical offset in portrait too, regardless of the actual registry values).
