So, i have my Alarm on my nexus One set up to go off at 6:45AM every Workday (Mon,Tue,Wed,Thu,Fri)
Today it didn't go off, i woke up at 6:47AM as my alarm didn't go off (my internal watch is pretty good )
Usually it vibrates and gives the alarm tone. This morning.. nothing.
So after reading the news i saw that there was a huge Date Bug in the Playstation Network due to the leap year.
So i jumped to the conclusion that Android or the alarm app has a similar date bug.
Anyone experienced something similar? Any dev input here?
No date bug here. I literally watched it go from Feb 28 to March 1.
My alarm went off today.
strange.
what networks are you guys on?
I'm on AT&T.
EDIT: one more question, do you have the alarm set for every day or is it like me for each single day?

I am on t-mobile USA and I have my alarm set for 11am every day. And today it went off like normal and with me hitting the snooze button repeatedly lol.
haha same thing happend to me.. live in sweden.
Weird. I have my alarm set for 6am PST today (M-F) and the alarm didn't go off either... Woke up at 6:24am after realizing my "rooster" alarm didn't go off.
I thought it was a fluke until I saw this thread. WEIRD.
(On T-Mobile USA, locked Bootloader, Stock ROM on this unit).
Cheers,
Kermee
so i guess it's carrier unrelated..

My Alarm did go off. I have my alarm set for 6am MST (M-F). I'm on Cyanogen 5.0.3.1.
My alarm went off at 06:50 (GMT) as per usual.
Mine worked the way it was supposed to, who needs alarm if internal alarm us as good as that? LOL.

all stock nexus, alarm went off at its normal time today
I've alarm set for Mon-Fri, it worked fine for me...
May be a shot in the dark, but if you're using a task killer be sure to have 'clock' excluded. Being that your alarms usually go off this is unlikely, but possible.
FWIW my alarm went off as scheduled at 745 EST
I have a weekday profile and a weekend profile. Alarm went off today at 7:30 per my weekday profile. No problems. Running Cy's latest 5.0.4.1.

My phone automatically adjusted itself for daylight savings but now all my alarms go off an hour early. For instance, I set an alarm for 3pm and it will go off at 2pm showing that it should go off at 3pm but still showing 2pm on the phone clock. Hope that wasn't too confusing. Anyways, has anyone else dealt with this and know a fix? Thanks guys.
alarm fix
set your alarm a hour later
lol sorry some had to say it apart from that have nothing to suggest
You might try changing the time zone and changing it back. I had a similar problem with my Cingular 8125 after DST.
All you have to do is reset the alarm time, that will be fine. I got the same problem when my phone ajust to DST.
Hey guys .. newbie here. Great forum by the way, I'm very glad I found this place as it sure does have a lot of useful info on it!!
I'm having a similar problem here, and I'm curious if there might be a patch for it. I have a Cingular 8125 and my clock keeps going back an hour all the time, which in turn messes up my alarm, appointments, etc. I did change the time zone to -7 Eastern instead of -6 Central but I'd really like to get this fixed for good. I heard there's a patch available, but dunno where to find it.
Any help is appreciated!
Hi, there seems to be an issue, ever since i ok`ed the brit summer time thing, now the alarm never sounds (which is pretty important to me) i have checked the settings, the phone is not on silent (but the box is ticked to sound if was anyway) i havent changed any settings and the alarm sounded fine prior to the summer time thing, i dont want to re-flash if i dont have to, is this a known prob? or is there a fix? i have the R3D Dark Red rom.
I have a similar problem with G-Alarm. I travel between Amsterdam and London every week. The Alarm that goes off at 6am (Central European Time) when I am in Amsterdam goes off at 5am in London (UK Time). (This is after I have changed my "Home" / "Visiting" settings in "Clock & Alarm").
I got around this by creating a duplicate alarm at 6am after I changed my "Clock & Alarm" settings to GMT.
So I guess the time zone is being taken into consideration somehow.
Anybody know of an alarm where the time zone can be set during alarm creation?
opefully fixed it - thanks to your post, i had phone alarm trial, not doing anything, so removed it, will test alarm later to see if fixed.(cant at moment)
So my wife's 8125, running WM5SE from dferreira on AT&T, is having issues. We live in Central US, but it keeps reverting to Eastern US. The time is correct on the big clock on the HTC home page, but her appt reminders and alarms are all an hour off. Her 7AM alarm didn't go off until 8AM today (and she is ticked off).
This happened to mine during that odd time between when DST started and when it should have started, but I can't think of any reason for it to do that now.
Any ideas? Should I revert back to a Cingular ROM?
Thanks,
Joe
Never mind. She seems to have found a workaround.
Folks, Can you check your DVP time and the actual time today from google. My DVP time zone is set to 05-Eastern US and canada. As of this writing, the current time in DVP is 8:45am. The time as per google and other time sites is 7:45AM. Without DST applied, it is 6:45AM..Can't understand how the DVP shows +2 hrs when DST is in effect.
Edit: It looks like its a minor bug. The DST doesn't work off the get go automatically. Once i went into settings and came back to main screen (or used the phone for couple of minutes), the Time is synced.
================FOR MS==============
Sequence of event (this is for MS to troubleshoot):
1. Set Alarm to ring on weekends @ 7:45AM
2. Sunday 13th Mar 2011 came, alarm rang. Woke up and saw the time on the Device, it said 8:45AM
3. Was pissed that i am late by 1 hr. Booted up my computer and time popped up as 7:45(+/-5 min).
4. Checked my WP7 device again, still said 8:45AM.
5. Went into alarm and checked and came back to main screen and after 10 min, time says 7:55AM.
My inference:
1. Either Alarm is following a time clock on its own or it is not DST applied.
2. OS is not syned with timeserver(?) until one uses the phone?
=============FOR MS==================
My DVP showed the correct -5 Eastern shift BUT my alarm, set for 7am, went off at 8am (adjusted, it was 7am if the time change hadn't happened). I think we may be seeing the same thing. Once my alarm went off, then the time may have updated (the alarm woke me up, so I don't know what it read before that).
I then set a single a alarm, and that happened without a hitch. I didn't mess with my daily 'work' alarm, but added a second one one minute later just in case to track this issue.
I feel bad if this is a bug that's making anyone late for work today.
Yep, same for me...The Alarm was set for 7:45am and it went of @ 8:45am. I think the internal clock might be fine, just the display time is screwed up or buggy.
mines is correct
I'm not sure whats going on with you guys but I don't seem to have this. my time is displayed correctly with no change or intervention from me. I woke up this morning to the right time displayed on my phone. plus I did not have an alarm problem.
I'm using an HD7, not a dell venue pro. don't know if that makes a difference.
It might be just a DVP issue as well. One other thing to note is this bug happens only in a small windows of time (may be 5-10 min or less). So it is very easy to not notice by many. Also If one has the lock screen turning on all time - this might not happen - that's my guess.
Non Bad part - The alarm goes off fine, but time is shown wrong.
Bad part - If one had any appts/tasks to do said day, they might thing that they are 1 hr late and thier alarm screwed up - only to realize later that all is well and WP7 made fun of them.

Just confirming, my alarm was set to 7h00 and went off at 8h00 and when you go into the alarm config it shows it was set to 7h00.
No such bug bugging my DVP.
Strange bugs keep popping out every now n then with dvp.

I have the DVP and live at -05 Eastern US and canada timezone. I have no problem with DTS this morning.

Seems like the few of us that had this happen had alarms set on Sunday. The rest may not have used it to wake up today.
It will be interesting to see if it's just the DVP or a widespread deal with WP7.
Hey guys, I knew this was going to happen as soon as i got this phone, but I ended up being late for work today because of the alarm... is there anyway to set an alarm WITHOUT having to set a specific day, like on my old evo and evo3d and darn near every thing else you can just set an alarm for 345am and it will go off on the next instance of 345 am, instead of 345am on Monday, then if I want the alarm to go off at that time again later in the week I can just turn it back on instead of having to remember to change the day, usually it isn't a problem but the one time I forget to change the day it is really bad

Just click on the "repeat" button and it will go off every next instance of that time just as you want! You can set multiple alarms as well.

That would only work though if you click every day Mon tues Wed... and repeat weekly, I was hoping to be able to just set a one time alarm. Which I could use later with out having to set the day for it as well

That's it, you just said it lol. Select each day, and select repeat weekly. That's exactly what I do and I never touch my alarm. Dont feel bad, that's happens to me all the time lol. So i set 2 alarms on my phone(45mins apart) and one on my normal clock.
