Hi there,
As with some I am new to the world of XDA. I never new this kind of subculture existed!
Firstly thank you to the volunteers who have put a lot of effort in to getting a site like this up and running! Well done.
I should get to my point now...has anyone got a comprehensive list of characters/fonts the XDA2 can display. I have checked the official pages, and also the XDA itself but I am pretty dissapointed with the level of support. I surf lots of pages and also communicate in a number of languages namely Eng/Jap/Kor. But I cannot find any patch to enable display of these languages?
Asking the offical support sites gets the usual response of "We are thinking about it, but have nothing in the pipeline".
This is very frustrating.
If anyone knows when/where I can get this kind of patch I/we would be mutually greatful.
Cheers
Mebius
I hope I'm not committing a major faux pas here, but I see that there has been a lot of hacking going on with the XDAs, and as one of many HP iPAQ h6315 users over at PDAPhoneHome.com, we're in the process of getting all hacky with our devices. I am hoping a lot of your hard work on this site can give us a jumping-off point.
1) I found an .nbf editor, ER2003Edit. Provided the correct passwords can be discovered for our .nbfs, would this software allow us to customize our ROM images?
2) If so, is there an app somewhere to brute-force crack .nbf passwords?
3) If this is all possible, what else would one need to keep in mind?
As I said, I hope I don't annoy anybody in here, and while I'm sure the answers to these questions are somewhere to be found, this site is vast and I wouldn't even know where to begin. Thanks in advance for any and all help.
i have seen members writing about different AKU versions and radio versions ie, 17 or 19.
can someone give me a quick idea what it is they mean.
and i have also seen the items know as [kitchens] am i right in thinking these are ready made software to help u change and tweek ROM'S if they are which is the best and easy to use to start off with as i am still a bit of a noob at all this xda himalaya stuff as i have not owned it long.
if i am way off in thinking that this is what they are for and what they are used for are there any easy to use guides and tips about them.
a quick explanation i would be greatly thankfull. every one was a noob sometime!!!
Seems like the author of android-wifi-tether is interested in making it work..so if you have some knowledge on the topic might be able to help:

Hi Was just wondering if we are able to remap our HD2 botton? I would like to switch "Home" botton to home and "Windows" botton to search. Right now on all builds it is the opposite.
Don't flame me m8s was just wondering if is was possible.
Thanks.
No, this is not currently possible, as a quick search would have told you.
A really good way to avoid getting flamed is to invest a little personal effort before posting.
Well sorry
But belive me whne I say that i do a lot og searching and reading before i ask a question, we both know that the search function isn't exactly teh best. And sometimes I do ask a question without searching too much - this is when I am busy IRL and needs a quick answer. Either way I don't flame people that keep asking the same qustion again and again, I answer or I don't.
But thanks for your answer.
Regards.
The 'not the best' search function found me at least two threads that would have given you your answer simply by plugging in 'remap button'.
You were hardly flamed, now were you, just given a bit of advice about avoiding lazy postings. You either choose to take it...or you don't.
Guys, enough please.
Remap of buttons is not possible at this time AFAIK.
and as for search, for some people its been fine, others not, this will be corrected very soon.
Thanks and thread closed
