Where can I find the latest radio update? I tried clicking the links in the th3fallen's thread on rooting the Nexus One, but they just take me directly to www.modaco.com. Help is appreciated, thanks!

I'd stick with the OTA update and its radio update. There aren't any benefits with the unreleased radio update.

That's my point... there's a reason ERE36B hasn't been released OTA yet. Skip it.
I had ERE36B and I had issues. Wifi kept giving me a connection error if I left wifi range and returned. My 3G wasn't as stable. I went back to ERE27 and had no more issues.
My personal experience is that the reception problems are present in ERE27 and ERE36B. But, I just pull the *#*#4636#*#* menu and set it for 3G only. I have 3G everywhere I go, so it works for me. And, I do get faster data with ERE36B.
I got no connection problems at all ...
Have 4.03.00.21_2 (I think it´s not the newest radio though..)
Edit: jst updated to latest one, found at modaco site..
Another Thread?
Well, the newest radio is EPE54B or something like that..
but it's the same as ERE36B
Apparently the AT&T N1's come with the latest leaked radio...EPE54B.
so does that mean that my tmobile nexus one will be getting a radio update soon?

Alright I may give this a try, when dell decides to release 2.2 will I be able to upgrade with no problem from the leak?

Not automatically no. But you should be able to either restore to factory and then run the coming upgrade, or more likely, there will be home cooked 2.2 builds to upgrade to.
Early flashers are working w/o a net right now as i don't think the AT&T released Streak 1.6 ROM is available to restore yet, but I could be wrong.
I'm an ex T-mobile user with my rooted Vibrant uvij5 running on At&t. Will I be able to get the Froyo update via Kies stateside or will I need to make changes. I've waited waited for this update and don't want to miss out.

I would say update to an official release (JI6) to just be sure. So many ways to brick our phone so just take every precaution.

If you are on AT&T like I was, I never received the ability to get the OTA update. I was able to get it by using Kies Mini at http://ars.samsung.com/customer/usa...ID=2&PROD_SUB_ID=557&PROD_ID=560&AT_ID=340607. This is for the JI6 update, I hope it works the same for Froyo.
Well i'm on my local which is cincinnati bell. Also how do i know if i have the JI6 update or the JF6? i'm sorry for so many questions but i'm fairfly new to developing and am trying to learn as much as i can because this forum has so much knowledge.
Just to bust everyones bubble, the update currently rolling out is only for the I9000 model(base model) and cannot run on US phones. And I don't see the US carriers releasing this anytime soon to us and they always take the slow road. At the moment I am thing that a mid November US carrier release sounds about right. But I really hope that I am wrong!!!!

I hope you are right and not wrong, I wouldn't mind the update in November because that's probably the quickest time, we will get it officially. (now to 10/31/2010 will be JI6 OTA, so november sounds good to me).
Since T-Mobile took its sweet time getting JI6 out, with no problems unlike what I heard about the Captivate update, then I wouldn't mind waiting for it to come out during the holidays.

I'm not sure which ROM Manager you're talking about. ..Never heard of setting which controls OTA updates. .. the best way of getting the update is through Odin in your case...

Once you open ROM manager there is a option that says "Check for ROM updates"
Under that it says "your ROM is not set up to reveive OTA updates. Please contact the ROM developer!" In those exact words down to the exclamation point.
That is for custom rom like cyanogen whenever it come out. The rom manager has no control over the stock rom

According to people, you should (assuming your t-mobile) but there is a high chance you might soft brick. Unroot yourself just to be safe when you do apply the update.

Since you're unlocked and not using the T-Mobile network, you won't be able to get T-Mobile's OTA updates but you can still update your phone officially by using Samsung Kies Mini (or if you're brave enough, you could be able to flash it with ODIN as soon as someone releases the update on the dev forums). ATM, I wouldn't be bothering with Froyo just yet since T-Mobile hasn't made a peep about it. I'll just wait for it to appear via Kies Mini (well, either that or just ODIN it).
Hello,
I flashed my phone to CM7 Version 2.3.2 and I love it. I have a question thu about tmobile sending an update to the phone.
Meaning, when tmobile decides to do a version update will it screw things up on my phone and if yes...how do I turn off version updates???
Thanks so much guys
Brian K
You shouldn't get any OTA updates with a custom ROM that isn't stock based.
ok...so to be clear. Your saying cause I already flashed my phone with CM7...that there is NO chance it will receive a update from tmobile....correct?
And thanks for taking out the time.

Correct.

I received the OTA for ICS today, and it updated without any problems like some are having. However, since receiving the update, I get NO SERVICE most places. I'll occasionally show 1 bar of service and at that point SMS will come flooding through and send out. I have a 9020A and i'm wondering if they didn't change the radio to the T-Mobile version. Is anyone else having similar issues? I plan on possibly flashing a different radio to the phone when i get home (i'm currently at work)
I'm kinda going nuts. I only recently went to this from an I9000. I haven't even rooted it or flashed any roms. It was entirely stock. I'm admittedly a novice with this phone. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Model: 9020A
Android - 4.0.3
Carrier - Immix Wireless
Baseband - NO DGSXXKI1
Build - IML74K
Kernel - 3.0.8-gb55e9ac [email protected] #1
And why didn't you grab a link before you ran the update? My guess says is you got a failed update and need to reapply.
I'm a noob to all this BUT at the very least I can tell you that you need to flash a different radio since "Baseband - NO DGSXXKI1" indicates a radio that is not going to work.
Is this a troll
Did we just get trolled? Dude that's so cruel.
Grab the radio here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1116884 and flash it with fastboot. That should get you the proper radio and get your phone back in working order...

I used that guide as a referemce:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1396937
You will have to re-flash a radio, if you paid attention, you probably saw a line about flashing a new radio during the process.
Flashing a radio is a quick and painless process if you have the SDK with fastboot installed. (Newer version on Mac doesn't include fasttboot, you have to get it on top of it)
Here's the link to the Radios:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1116884
I suggest you look for your carrier, you might found people recommending different radio for different speed/reception. Get one radio, flash it, test speed and signal and find the one that works best.
You should be all set with those links.
Thanks everyone, I'll try this out in a bit and get back to you. I never read anything about flashing a radio. Again, I got the ota directly from Google... At least wifi is working.

This indicates he's got the wrong ROM. Probably used ROM manager to restore back to stock, leaving him with the i9020t image.

There is another thread around here somewhere. I've been doing so much searching today i cant remember where i saw but, apparently rogers pushed the ota ICS update for a short period of time and then pulled it. I guess i know why now. shouldnt be much longer if the just have to package the proper radio. cross your fingers
