Hello,
How do i make a program shortcut for manila's add appointment feature?
not sure if you can link directly to the manila new apointments, however you can create a shortcut to the pocket outlook new appointment (which still shows up in manila calendar)
open a notepad document, paste in the following
35#windows\poutlook.exe calendar -new
save it as whatever you want, lets say newapp.txt
rename it to change the extension to .lnk (LNK nont INK)
move newapp.lnk to your phone, move it to winows\start menu and now you can assign it as a quick link.

Hello
I have found the way to create a shortcut to creating a new sms:
1°): On PC: create a notepad document with this content:
00#"\Windows\tmail.exe" -service "SMS" -to "" -body "
2°) On PC: save with .txt
3°) copy from PC to PPC (phone)
4°) on PPC: change extesion from .txt to .lnk
5°) use any launcher to link to this small file it will create a new sms
Now here is what I would like to do in the same way: create a link to a new contact in one click. What I have found so far is this:
20#"\Windows\poutlook.exe" contacts -new
but the problem is that is does not directly create a new contact, but first asks whether it should be in Outlook or on the SIM card. So how can I modifiy the above in order to have it directly in Outlook.
I have tried every possible logic I could think of (adding service "Outlook" for instance) with no luck so far.
Thanks for your help.

I checked my HTC Action Screen settings
as it works exactly the way you want and your code looks correct.
In the standard Messaging App, do you have the tick box checked for showing the Account Picker? (Messaging...Tools...options)
sorry, I guess I was not clear: it does not do what I want. I need a direct access to new contact within Outlook, not a link to creating a contact, and then having to select outlook or SIM. This is the last part i could not figure out so far. I'm sure there is a way similar to SMS (which is sub choice of tmail which includes sms, mms, email...)
Thanks
Is there a way to add the copy and paste appointments function on the Sense UI tab? I have to go back to Start>Messaging>Calendar and bring up the old built in Microsoft Calendar in order to have copy and paste appointments function.
When I click on an appointment on the home page it launches HTC calendarin agenda view, is there anyway to have this either launch Outlook calendar or HTC calendar but in day view? HTC Calendar settings only gives options for reminders and default first day of week. I have looked around in the registry but have had no luck.
1. Diable calendar tab. This will make you jump directly to outlook calendar.
2. Or you can opt for a more advanced type of calendar app. Install ThumbCal.
I thought I had managed to do this once before, however when I just tried again (removed the calendar from the homescreen tabs) clicking on the calendar entry on the homepage now does nothing. I have done a soft reset but still the same. Any ideas?
Actually, the calendar link on the homepage is weird. It only works properly with the calendar tab. Once you remove the calendar tab, the link works only under certain strange conditions, described as follows:
1. If you have appointments for today, the link will not work. It can only show you one entry of today's appointments.
2. If you have NO appointments for today, and calendar link is a blank (i.e. showing on the "calendar" name on it), then the link will work to bring up outlook calendar.
So basically, it's inconsistent. That's why you have to forget about the calendar link of homepage. It's useless.
Here are some of the options you can do.
1. Place the outlook calendar on the of the quick links. (You'll have to swipe up on the homepage to access it.)
2. Use "Bsb Tweaks" app to change the left soft key of Sense UI to outlook calendar. (Originally, the "Phone" app sits on this soft key. But it works exactly the same way as the call key at the bottom of the phone. Making it redundant and useless.)
3. On your Start menu, bring the "Outlook" folder icon up to the top of the menu. That way, it will be easy to access outlook calendar anytime from under any running apps, by tapping the windows button, then outlook folder, then calendar.
I cant see how to make folders, delete bookmarks from th browser?
You can delete a book mark by long pressing on it and choosing "Delete".
To create folders, open the bookmarks window and either add a new bookmark or edit an existing bookmark and there is an input area for folder. Tap on the folder and choose "New folder..." and it creates a new one.
Hi!
I have an Exchnage e-mail with several subfolders. I hate the long way to get to the subfolders via Email app. Is there any kind of option to create a shortcut ikon to some of these folders and put them on a main screen? Thanks
HI! really non of you know if that is possible?
