Look for the yamato_panel.txt thats in your windows directory, open it and delete all text thats in it save it, and restart your device and try landscape mode again, this will enable 2d accelaration in landscape mode.
btw:this was found by tsmasmolotof.
It works. Thank you very much!

Download resco explorer or Total commander, and edited it using any of these file managers and you will be able to edit the yamato_panel.txt
ive downloaded both and still cant change it ... do i need a custome rom? can you tell me step by step what i need to do please
ok, i tryed so many ways now and i cant change it ...
do i need to do that when im in recovery mode (the one for flashing rom)
or
do i need to open the file with an special program (not word or resco)???
thank you it works fine
@gmbhneo
make to your pc an empty txt file named it yamato_panel.txt and copy it with resco explorer in windows folder

First download yamato_panel.txt from Xda. then copy the file to sdcard. Execute Resco Explorer, go to your sdcard directory an select the file "move to" My device (Resco can do it, Windows mobile cant do it).

Solved, the file is located at the root "\" and not under the \Windows directory. However, I am wondering if this has any side-effects??
Great!, i deleted the line in it and now my acer in landscape is better than before

i flashed tmous stock rom with duttys 21896 build and everythings great. im trying to put swype back on because its awesome and cant seem to get it working. i have the zip with all the files but there seems to be no cab for installation?
do i just extract the files to the /windows directory to get it functioning? tried it but still not workin'.
sorry if this is a repost. couldnt find a previous thread
what do you mean "l have the zip" are you sure you aren't just opening the cab with winzip/winrar on the pc? cos if you do it will open like a zip.
search google for cab...
Yeah, Good luck with searching Google for a copy of Swype without encountering dodgy websites and requests for payment, not to mention the copy on XDA which has been reported to reset the PIN on installed devices so they aren't accessable
I'm sure some people here would be interested in the contents of your zip file for analysis though.
heres the one i use, and it isn't the one that can mess with the lock password.
thanks samsamuel. my windows os detected it as a zip but my leo did see it as a cab.
Yeah cheers Samsamuel. Installs and works perfectly (so far )
Regards.

The attached zip file has 2 exe files in it. Just unzip it and copy both files to your device. It's pretty obvious from the name what each of the files does, but you need to restart your device for the changes to take effect. (Please note - this will only turn off the default windows lockscreen. If you've got a different one installed this will not affect it.)
Basically, run lockscreen_disable and restart your device. You can run lockscreen_enable at a later date if you ever need to turn the lockscreen back on.
Hope it helps mate

You can either unzip the 2 files (both exe files) and copy them to your phone, or copy the zip file to the phone and unzip it there. Either way doesn't matter.
Once unzipped, you click the exe file of your choice and it runs, but you won't see anything change till you restart your phone.
I really threw them together quickly, which is why they're so basic, but they should do the trick though
Thanks John. I've been looking for ways to disable my Exchange email policy lockscreen.
Nothing I've seen and tried works so far.
Will your exe files work to disable/enable this Lockscreen?
Cheers

You'll probably do more CABS, so I suggest creating a CAB folder on the root of your SD card... Easier to keep track, then.

It's a winner, I keep a copy of my cabs on my laptop and another on my SD card for easy of use when flashing from ROM to ROM.

You don't unzip it. You run the .cab file as it is.

Can you not add it in the options, by shaking the phone while in the office app?
this doesn't appear to work. I have the HTC HD2. I open the office app and when I shake it nothing happens. Should it?

im using 2.2 froyo with 1.5 kernel and its smooth and great i just have one issue about language . its displays Arabic with separated letters ,after some search i found that there are fixes for this issue but i dont have a step by step tutorial to apply it on my hd2 can anyone tell me how to do this ! after 3 days of using android i think i will switch to it for ever i just want my phone to support arabic so i can read and post since English is my second language.
my way of doing it.
put the libskia.so file into sdcard while you are in windows mobile. then boot into android download a file manager from market. then simply copy the .so file into system/lib (overwrite) and thats it.
and for arabic keyboard download one from market.

Yeah, Letters are separated for me as well
I downloaded the arabic folder and placed SYSTEM folder in my root of my SD card.
Rebooted device, yet, nothing has changed.
the right way to arabriz your Loedroid
Any easy and guaranteed way to make your device support Arabic see the below link
http://www.ce4arab.com/vb7/showthread.php?t=245275
What I got actually changed the font to a nicer one and connected the letters. There is still the oddness of the right-to-left writing but overall it works.
Step 1 - download this from ardroid.com
http://www.mediafire.com/?cfc0irjf5flkuer
Step 2 - Extract the .zip on your desktop somewhere.
Create a folder INSIDE the Android folder on your SD card and call it "root" (without the marks)
Step 3 - Take the extracted files and place them in the "root" folder. Then start up your flavor of Android. The "root" folder works because it thinks it's flashing that onto your phone.
Step 4 - Enjoy. Do not delete or move the "root" folder. Just leave it be.
Then just download an Arabic keyboard off the Market and enjoy.

I was in another thread trying to figure out how to install xRecovery and I'm starting to think that the problem is that my phone isn't recognizing the apks as apks. Has anyone else had this problem? It only recognizes the xRecovery file as a .zip and so I can't use the installer to install it.
Why you don't just use flashtool to root and install xRecovery? That's much easier.
bro why dont you try renaming the .zip to .apk it works!try it!

you can always use Manual method,
just extract and copy these three files (busybox, chargemon, xrecovery.tar) from xrecovery.zip or xrecovery.apk to your Phone/system/bin directory, using root explorer (with r,w, rights)

You had to change to name of the .zip to .apk with a file manager on your phone. Maybe you had a setting turned on on your pc that prevents from displaying file extension.

i tried that and that didn't work. now i'm starting to think something is up with how my computer handles these .zip files though...now i'm trying to download install the .ftf file from this thread and when i put that file directly into the firmware folder in flashtool it doesn't recognize it as a .ftf file (and its listed as a .zip file when i download it)...this is frustrating the bajeezus out of me

ya know what, i'm not even sure right now since i've done so much ish to this dang phone in the past day lol i did figure out that i had to change the settings in windows to not hide the extensions of known file types so that i could change the .zip to .apk. Since I had already installed xRecovery I don't know if that would have solved the problem but I'm assuming it would have. Thanks for your help everyone!
