hi everyone,
i have a quick question!
is it possible to edit the registry such that an application always appears in landscape mode?
i have used an app called changescreen, but i want to permanently fix remote desktop in landscape mode, without the need of such apps.
as its implied from me posting here, i'd like to perform this tweak on an HTC HD2, with the stock HD2 rom.
many thanks, i hope to hear from you soon

Hello, wondering if anyone know sof a util/trick/registry change to force the wizard not to change back to portrait when I close the keyboard and only do so if I menaully rotate
thanks much
I also was looking for something like that, i want to startup some apps automatically in landscape mode ? Is this possible as well ?
sondakika: I think beyondthetech has posted some solutions on this using mortscript.

Double launcher allows you to bind screen rotation to hardware key.
Folks,
Does anyone know if you can exclude today items for just when you're in landscape mode?

Maybe but not that I'm aware of without additional application installed.
(doubtless somebodyelse will prove me wrong)
I use Wisbar advance Desktop that allows different today screens for portrait and landscape and indeed allows multiple today screens in either mode that you can move between with a single tap.

Perhaps it is possible with a little mortscript.
I switch on and off my today items with a mortscript. You can use any hardwarebutton or an user button from WB2 for switching.
The only problem is, i cannot find the reg string for the "Datetime" item. Seems to be not a today item.
The other problem is screen refreshing after switch off today items.
Will not always work correctly.

Well, not automatically, but with this program, you can define Today Screen plugin profiles, and easily switch between them manually. The SK developer is know to listen to customer requests, so I'd say you have a good chance that he'd add the "automatic profile switching for landscape mode" feature if you ask him.

hey guys,
tried to look for the answer but i couldn't maybe you guys can guide me. the htc x7500 has the vueflo software, therefore in the theory it should be able to sense if it is held in landscape of portrait position and should be able to change from these views by changing the position of the device (kind of like the iphone).
is there a way to make this possible? i am sick of manually changing the view from landscape back to portrait everytime i deattach the keyboard.
someone MUST have thought of this already.
looking forward to the answer. thanx

Nope, as for right now VuFlo only works in either PIE or Opera. But your right, it should made available to the system.

the vueflo software is used for the internet browser only, saving you scrolling on a web page manually.
Hi, I am the new owner of a touch hd and wanted to know what my best option was for landscape texting and if their was any auto-rotate landscape texting available? even if their is no auto-rotate, can anyone direct me to my best option for landscape texting? thanks
Derrick
Hi !! 24 hours HD owner and I adore it. Actually I found a cool application called Gyrator2 , it switches to landscape and rotate screen depending on how you hold the device ( like iphone ). Check it : http://gyrator.brins0.net/?page=downloads
you can try the new GSen from the Touch Pro 2: http://www.fuzemobility.com/gsen-now-enabled-in-more-apps/
you can add individual applications to the list as well but it works on most applications without any need to add more: http://www.mobilitydigest.com/gain-more-control-of-the-gsen-apps-tp2-edition/
I've used this on a Touch HD and it works
I have tried gsen.
At the moment im am using Dutty's 2.1 Extreme ROM and far as i know manilla should work in lanscape too.
Rotating Manilla seems to be disabled in gsen and i read that i need to add some registry keys in HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\GSensor\.
I dont really understand how that keys need to look like to make it work. Does anyone else had success?
Edit:
Just found out how it works.
You could also try ChangeScreen...
You could also try ChangeScreen which is my personal favourite as I find it easier to configure than Gyrator:

hi guys,
apologies if this has been explained elsewhere but i could not find it..
i would like to know if it is possible to change the phone and/or contacts section into landscape mode..
i recently got igo8 working in landscape mode and when i go to the phone menu with in the prog the phone menu appears in portrait.
i have tried bsbtweaks but had no luck..
any help on this would be greatly appreciated
thanks!
I have the exact same problem (on the xperia x1 running 826x rom w/ rhodium dialer), so does every one else and there is no solution to be found.
When I'm in Landscape, and start the phone app / dialer, the screen switches to portrait and start the dialer. I can get it back to landscape by physically 1/2 closing the slider and letting go.
It's bs
