Quick and dumb question:
I just put this widget on my homescreen and noticed the voice search button (the mic on the right) is now an orange and green circle with a mic instead of the standard graphic when using quick search (square button with a grey mic).
I don't remember it being like that and only just noticed since I didn't have this widget active, is this a change with the OTA update google rolled out or is something funky with my phone or was it always like this and I was blind?

Any thoughts on how to fix?

Wow, I wonder what could have caused this. I did the manual update - maybe I should do it again?
Just to make sure here are pics attached. The orange circle is what I have, the other is what I think it should be.
Actually, it should just look like the first one, but with the grey microphone icon instead of that orange circle. The second pic is the "Quick Search Box", which is different than the widget...
I think reflashing the update MIGHT work... only one way to find out.

Do you have the latest version?
And sometimes it is normal that there is no data available. To test this, try adding another place and it will show details regarding the newly added place.
Happens if the stored conditions are old. Check the last refresh time/date - shown at the bottom of the refresh menu, then choose Refresh | All.
Thanks guys, seems to have updated itself now the other question is this.
Its showing yesterdays weather to the left of todays but with a day over it?
So there is a pic of sunshine and the temp but with no date over it. so its taking up one more space than need be if you see what i mean?
Its exactly the same as the picture below expept the icon to the left of wednesday now?
Anyone with an idea?

Thanks in advance
That's the icon when you have the phone set to Vibrate.
It's your first pda isn't it ? I think it'll be good for you to read the notice .
Thanks! Silly me should have realized it replaced the sound on/off icon.. It seems to change some settings in there itself sometimes
thanks again
Yeah first PDA.. I tried to click on it to see what it was, but I just came to the normal screen with battery indicator and network connection.. The icon looked a bit scary so it got me off..
Lol ! welcome on windows mobile board !

I have searched through the manila files many times looking for the culprit here. I am now confident that what I am looking for must be somewhere else. I want to change (eliminate) the date showing on the slider over the calendar. I have spoken with a couple chefs as well as a few modders that have made sliders. The general consensus so far is to find a calendar icon that the date works well with. As you will see in my SS below, this is not really and option for my slider. Does anyone have some insight so I may finish my slider?

The black font "20" over my calendar is what I am looking for. I took this off my phone for now so I can't screenshot the calendar preview that comes up in the middle of the screen. That also has the annoying date over the icon. I am hoping someone can locate the file(s) I need to fix this.
Update:
I have looked through all of the graphics contained in the windows folder. No luck yet. My search continues.
Sadly i cant help you out...allmost got the same problem.
I want to remove the top black date-numbers, any ideas?
Hi,
I updated my s7edge to Oreo last week, and i totally hate the new "vertical" digital clock when i close my S View cover, it used to be like this :
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
now its like the s8 and i don't understand why would anyone like that ...
does anyone have a solution for this please ?
I think you can find it with an activity manager in settings.
I tried to bring back night clock and i think i saw someting with "s view" in it.

I can't find any of that :/ you sure you're talking about an s7edge with the latest android update ?
Yea, Oreo.
1 get quickshortcutmaker from ggl play
2 serch "view"
3 you should see "wallpapers' , click on it and there should drop down another "wallpapers" and click on it then press try it, from there it will send you to the gallery app.
Now I realise you want to change the clock and S view ist that ugly flip cover.....
Sorry man.
Here's a nagging Android riddle I'd like to understand just out of curiosity, as opposed to researching an 'issue' that needs to be resolved. We all have better things to do (laundry, pull weeds, floss) than to make a case out of this post.
I'll ask anyway.
In my graphic the shortcut on the left shows normal behavior from the Settings widget in Oreo. The shortcut on the right, however, just showed up on the home screen out of nowhere. I'm clueless about how it got there and why it has color. Is anybody familiar with this?

I think it's a spyware from mobile-tracker-free.com . Coz I used it before and it comes as the name of WiFi in the settings to avoid attention of the user.

It's not spyware. But mystery solved. The peculiar green shortcut is an Oreo feature.
In my case it showed up by accident. Here's how it's done on purpose:
Long-press the Settings app icon until a pop-up box appears with a short list of widget items that can be dragged to the home screen. In my case there are only 3 options -- battery, data usage and wi-fi.
There are similar effects by long-pressing other apps like Gmail and Messages.
