T9 keyboard? - myTouch 3G, Magic General

My wife is thinking about the nexus one, but she really likes the T9 keyboard, is there anywhere on the market that I can get one? Whats the name of it?

There is a t9 keyboard built into the HTC_IME keyboard that comes WITH sense UI but can also be installed into any android device 1.6 and onward, including the Nexus One.
Takes less than a minute, and works beautifully!

Best Keyboard

What is the best keyboard for the HTC Diamond? I know about TouchPal, Fitaly and TenGo. Anyone tried any of those?
Jon
Here is my preference:
1. Phone Keypard /w T9 (Personally, the phone keypad is soo freaking fast to use if you can figure it out and if you're coming from a regular phone it should be easier. I'm getting used to it and have noticed that indeed, it is a lot faster with T9 if you remember where the letters are.)
2. Compact QWERTY! /w T9 (Same as qwerty but faster, the only time I have to double click is when entering in passwords. I like this because it's exactly the same as qwerty when you have T9 on and it just makes the buttons bigger, so easier to access)
3. Full QWERTY w/o T9
4. TouchPal v3.5 /w T9 (TouchPal is awesome for letting you access the symbols and numbers easily. I love how you can click and drag up for a capital or drag down for the symbol and make a U turn shape for the bottom symbol. It's nifty and useful, just don't like the small numbers on v3.5 >.>)
5. Resco Keyboard /w Diamond and iPhone skin w/o T9
6. PocketCM Keyboard /w Diamond and iPhone skin w/o T9
where can i get the resco keyboard from??
FingerKeyboard is the best, just use once, you would understand.
I'm using Swype on my Diamond am and loving it. When I reflash I don't even reinstall other keyboards anymore. I just install Swype and go.
Swype is really good enough, however, if you need a multilangual keyboard (Like Hungarian or something) you don't have it. Fingerkeyboard is the second, it is really good, but sometimes i miss keys on it (especially with tap'n'hold keys). What I use now is SPB keyboard. It has a full screen keyboard option, which is almost like if you had a slide out keyboard.

what's your favourite keyboard ?

Do you use deafult keyboard, better keyboard, swype keyboard, smart keyboard ?
what ?
thanks
Default. i wish there was a keyboard like fingerkeyboard for WM - fully customisable.
I don't actually like any keyboard for this phone but about the best one is Slide Keyboard and its free. The buttons are much larger than the standard and its easy to work out.
I'm hating default keyboard because i keep hitting settings button, plus predictive words won't work in all forms (like here, i can't get words predictions and i can't understand why)
I'll try slide keyboard
Thanks
EDIT: unfortunately the italian dictionary for slide keyboard is not "available" on the tattoo market !

I miss my old keyboard

I miss my old sywpe keyboard on my stock rom on mt4g . i currently have virtious fusion rom on my phone but it was missing swype. is there anyway i could put swype on my current rom?
Swype is present on virtious fusion just longpress in the input area and choose your input method.
hey i found out i do have swype and touch input but i dont have the other option...
is the other options keyboard good?
It was a free app from Amazon a few days ago.
"FlexT9 'Speak. Trace. Write. Tap.' by Nuance"
It has Dragon Dictation ("speak"), trace functionality ("trace" similar to Swype), writing input ("write") allowing you to draw out letters with your hand, and normal input (tap) like most other keyboards you might have used.
I, for one, think it's great, but still, I keep finding myself going back to Swype.
Really? I tried Swype several times and kept stopping. I found Swype is awesome at trace input but overall it's a horrible keyboard. I tried FlexT9 and I find myself unable to leave it. The trace input is easily as good as Swype, but it's an awesome keyboard too. If you don't want to trace all the time, Flex is perfect because it looks and works almost identical to the HTC Sense keyboard. I doubt I could ever use Swype again after trying it.
Edit: double post, my apologies.
I agree that Swype isn't the best for normal text entry, but I can't remember the last time I used it for that.
Swyped from my Glacier.

Anyone tried installing the gingerbread keyboard to the ASUS?

I have the gingerbread keyboard installed on my Evo and its by far the best (if not prettiest) keyboard I have used to date (including the honeycomb and asus keyboards).
Im wondering if anyone has been the guinea pig and tried installing/running it. Im sure it wouldnt look good as its not built for the reso but I much prefer its text prediction and layout with the long press options.
There are keyboards with the Gingerbread skin, like Thumb Keyboard for example.
Don't want the skin, want the performance, layout and recognition.

Click to collapse
It has a better recognition because of the use of bigram prediction and a better dictionary. For the rest it has at least all features of and at least the same performance as the Gingerbread keyboard . As for the layout, you can choose the the phone layout and resize it so it fits nicely on the 10" screen

T9 keyboard (DK)

Hey!
I've been using the HTC_IME keyboard for some time now since I can make the good old standard T9 numeric keyboard style, and with a Danish dictionary!
It seems it doesn't work with ICS so now I'm looking for an alternative... Do you know any apps that does the same?
