I am excited to see who is going to be the first of our in-house chefs to cook up a 2.10 based ROM, now that the shipping ROM is here, we can see it really shine with all the TMobile junk is stripped away.
It's fun to get that new phone feeling all over again, ain't it?
That would suck, you need to test ur roms before releasing.
If anyone releases it today, I won't flash it
Where's your sense of adventure?
Who cares? Xmoo is right new ROM's have to be tested and in time all of the chefs will release ROM's with it.
i will be one of the first. at least my german test-rom...
2.09 test-rom already dropped yesterday... but i really don't care if i'm the first....
i'm creating my roms for ME because I want the latest software.
not many new packages compared to 2.09.
OEM/OEMDrivers/XIP-updating is the main thing to change...
only a matter of some minutes if your kitchen is optimized.

Yes but it has a big difference... it's a SHIPPED rom, not a TEST one.

RTT seems to have been the first one with the 2.10 base and I did flash it yesterday. It seems to be as fast and stable as his 2.09 base.

I was wondering why its been so quite after HTC released the new kernel for the Sprint Hero, I thought that was the missing link that was needed for complete 1.6/2.0/2.1 roms?
It hasn't been quiet.
Also the kernel that HTC released needs to be ported to 2.6.29 to fully work with 1.6+.
All this info is on the forum & easily obtainable.

I just thought we would see some 1.6/2.0/2.1 releases now that the kernel was released, that's all
There's been 1.6+ releases for a while...
Let me elaborate a little here:
This kernel that was released is not a magic bullet, it allows us to see what code needs to be changed to get the correct Kernel to run these newer versions. It also lets us make any performance changes we can find.
All of the changes need to be put into the current kernel source, making it a .29 or whatever we need.
It has been fairly quite, we aren't seeing tons of Roms being thrown out to the market, thankfully. Our devs are taking all the time they need to make sure everything works and is stable. We should see some big stuff happen in the next week or so.

Yea that's what I'm rocking right now, I'm just impatient for a fully funcional newer OS
I've been reading all the info on this forum about the HD2 but im still a bit lost and confused. Just wanted to know if my HD2 is up to date with all the new software that is available, and to make sure my phone is working at its best performance. I would love to install the elegance package but before i do that i just want to make sure everything is right on my end.
Here is what my phone is running right now:
OS version
5.2.21892
Manila version
2.5.2012
Rom version
2.13.531.1
Radio version
2.10.50.26
Protocol version
15.39.50.07u
tmobile usa btw.

This post contains all cosmetic and modification from your existent ROM. It has no link to the actual ROM update.
EnergyROM is very nice and stable. NRG28(EnergyROM) has done a wonderful job over at the Tmobile Dash section
honestly i cant find the rom i DL but which one do you recommend more out of the two [ energy or elegancia]? and is there anything else i need to DL to make sure everything runs right? thanks for all your help dude.
the energy rom is just insanely fast. definitely an improvement over stock. screen sensitivity and overall onscreen typing is just outstanding.
I get wet just thinking about it
well, after trying about every version of XDAndroid, I'm pretty desperate!
All the messages from the search are over an year old, and don't really tell anything. Is there any cooked rom that contains android? Or, is there someone who managed to dual-boot wm and android?
The problem I have with my Blackstone and XDAndroid is the cpu-temperature and batterylife. It keeps draining my battery!

I've tried every option there is to use android on my blackstone, but... The XDandroid port is a batterydrain, and that makes it unusable for me at daily use. The source of the batterydrain is that HaReT is the basic app to run XDandroid, and the system uses full cpu and memory, because it can't adapt to the needed usage
My question is: Is there a fully cooked Android rom, so I can install it as a clean ROM. Just because a cooked ROM has the stuff that prevents a battery drain in a certain way

You have no idea what you are talking about...
Anyway there's not a cooked Android rom for blackstone yet.
The battery problem is not related on haret; is almost fixed with camro's last kernel and modules, so i presume next "official" xandroid will have this improvements and no more battery problems, we just need camera working and a couple of other stuff THEN we will begin to think about a cooked rom.
Enjoy

Well, it just worked That's all... Didn't do any fancy stuff... The only thing I did was changing the startup.txt with the right screensizes and stuff but, no weird changes...
Somewhere on the forum, there's a list to write your own startup.txt... that's what I did

BTW, had different kernels and versions with the same STARTUP.txt...

Well, I've noticed that there is a bit confusion about the soft and hard keys...
Also, the WiFi is trouble, but it doesn't work on WinMo either...
But guys, I'm heading out for work! I'll keep on testing, and let you hear all about it...
BTW, a huge problem is the CPU-temperature... Sometimes when I wanna perform a hard reset, I burn my fingers

And what about the CPU frequency ? I had the same problem on my Touch Pro and it was because overclock was enabled by default... may be you should just edit your startup.txt to underclock your Qualcomm.

@PrometheusUnbound I can make a bet you have no developing experience and don't know what's the fundamental difference between any beta and final version, huh?
I won't load beta with all the test and debugging crap switched on! This way is simply for an early-adopters who want to see and get something before anybody else ... who don't care about reliability and stability
BTW: I don't believe that Beta Cleanup CAB is really cleaning everything... even perfectly cleaned beta will never be as good (= quick and stable) as the final release.

No you don't. Back to the Future ROM is the only ROM you'll ever need. Fully Zune up-dateable and customizable thanks to Yuki and XBoxMod. HD2 is now native.

Even if you bought a native WP7 phone, you would still want to use cabs, and still want to update it via Zune.
A full-unlocked DFT mango ROM may be your solution.
@ exbros, there is also a fundamental difference between an RTM and a beta.

I know. I know what are the differences between beta, RTM and final versions exactly.
But some people don't.
Even though, they think, they have something to say.
