First of all, I did use this to perform something I think hard-reset but haven't try it on upgrading ROM.
My idea is that hard-reset is formatting memory, so I format memory to hard-reset I can do it with Neu Storage Manager.
However, I don't know where the registry is store so I don't know if formatting the memory would erase the registry or not.
Please help me Thank you very much

Thanks egzthunder1. I'm so sorry for this. I'll be glad if you delete this thread for me. Thank you and also thank you for the answer in Q&A section

Hey everyone,
Been reading a lot of the threads here but this is my first post here on the forums.
I deleted a registry section by accident (following an incorrect guide) and was hoping someone could post the data I need to restore it.
The section I need is:
HKLM/SOFTWARE/HTC/QuickDial
The phone still works, so it's not a highly critical issue, but I'd like to get it back because I don't know what those keys controlled.
Thanks a lot guys!
If I remember correctly you can do a hard reset and it should come back. If it doesn't, post again and i will back up that section and post it.
Jay
I'm running a clean wm 6.1 ROM so I hope this has all then entries you need. If it doesn't work, just delete it again.
Rename it from QuickDial.reg.txt to QuickDial.reg before you import.
Thank you very much.
Yea, I was hoping to avoid doing a hard reset (especially since I haven't noticed anything wrong because of this missing entry).
Again, thank you very much!
I love flashing But I hate installing all my apps again!!! And it is not a good idea to restore backups made on ROM's other than the one you have just flashed, because this will screw up your device even more than usual...
So I was thinking... is it possible to combine several .cab files into one big .cab file and install everything all in one go??? And maybe also include some reg tweaks??? And the options to install them on internal memory or on the device??? This would make my flashing life a lot easier...
Is this possible?
I believe there is a program called SASHIMI which can do that - in a sense but it doesn't 'combine' cab files... It's here on xda - Have a search for it.
hmmm, aparently mr. Sashimi di'n't make friends with the XDA moderators...
Anybody have this Sashimi for downloading somewere?
I love this idea... where can we find such apps??
I've searched through the forum and apparently the author bengalih
had been Banned
Found it... Sashimi resides here now...

learning how to use right now. ....
HELP needed
Apparently Sashimi is a very useful app, especially for people who love to try out different roms. I think the author is brillant enough to be able to compile such work.
I have DL and installed sashimi into my internal storage, went through the tutorial posted on youtube and it works out well.
One question which kept bothering me ... how do i create *.reg file?
I have many program which requires username and password. I do not wish to re-enter them manually everything i flash my rom.
How do I create them and instruct sashimi to install automatically for me?

Hi!
I use HTC P3400i, but I can't change my thimr at taday.
before I can change it, but now It will not be changed. Why?
I already flash my phone.
just put the .tsk files into the root of ya fone n go to today n set the themes ya want best of luck
You may put .tsk files in the root of your phone or SD card. Probably the theme files may have been placed in some directory and hence are not showing upin today screen.

The tsk files should be ideally put in \My Documents or \Windows folder.
Thanks to All,
I already solve that Problem
I guess you must have done a hard reset right? I haven't found any other solution for this problem till now. Please do share when you find solution to any problem so that others can benefit too, and our forum can be saved from "Wild Threads"
Sumit,

Just do what you did before. copy the build to your sd and run clrd then haret. Go find the build you want and read the instructions.
If all you have done is erase your SD card then you dont need to re-hspl/radio etc, all you need to do is re-copy a build to your card and run it.
PS. DO NOT post topics in this forum, its for devs only not for n00b help. Please read stickies first then use search etc and if you cant find anything make topic in the Q&A forum.

Install more apps & tweaks etc on your device then back it up with backup apps like Resco, SPB, Sprite, Sashimi etc
Then after a hard reset you can restore settings, apps etc
Oh, and thread moved to General section. Please post all Q&A in General forum
thank you so much this was very very helpful to me, last week i had to hard rest my device two times in one day every time after i finish installing all the apps one by one. this will save alot of time to me and frustration.
