Hello every one.
I have a question about lcd screen;
I uploaded white 1280x1024 jpg image into hd2; then I watched jpg on whole screen (maximized)
It looks like top of screen is not as bright as bottom
it seems to me that the top, right edge of the screen is a bit darker (yellowish/ creamy?)
i tried to attach screen photo-but i can't (im new user)
Please excuse my poor English.
English is not my native language.
regards
K

Hi Guys,
I need you help on ELF P3450 screen resolution problem. I upgraded my HTC touch from 6 to 6.1 professional. After I did it, I am facing screen resolution problem. The screen display is not clear and sharp. Its fuzzy with colored background. Seems like resolution is less. The videos are not good quality and pictures with faint colors. Does it have to do anything with display driver? How can I fix this?
Thanks in advance.
Hi could you post a screen shot of your display
Screen resolution problem
Currently I can not post the screen shot. But to precisely describe, its like bitmap image, not sharp, you could see blurry colors in the background.
Thanks for your time.

Hi in your signature please add up your device information, like the ROM and stuff. Which Rom you're using is it the stock Rom? If I'm right it happened only after you upgraded the Rom. You can pose a screen with another camera from top of it. Have you tried re-flashing your ROM? Also it might be a digitizer issue.
Following is the info:
ROM version - 2.20.710.2B WWE
radio version - 4.1.13.51
model - ELF0101
Yesterday I also installed a new touch screen panel (do you call this part digitizer?). I did not try re-flashing it yet though. You are right it happened only after I upgraded to WM 6.1 version.
Right now I do not have any camera handy, thats why can not post any screen shot. Sorry about that.
What you think the problem would be?
Thanks a lot ivanmatz.
One more thing I would like to add, I noticed only images like background image of win mobile 6.1 professional, back ground of phone panel, videos, pics have low resolution background (like bitmap). The outside back ground of these guys is very clear. Thanks
If I look carefully my display I can notice that display image is not properly centered, infact it has two different black vertical bounds.
I would like to expand image to cover all the display area (like a regulation for lcd displays for example...).
Is it possible??

Hi. That's a bit vague - difficult to understand. Can you take a screenshot so we can see what you mean?
Yes I know it is a bit vague, but unfortunately I can't take any screenshot of this, bacause it would show nothing about this problem... I'll had to use an external camera, but at moment the only one I have is the leo's one...
Let me see if I can explain in little words... what I see is that the potential area of display is for example 480x800, but the real display (image on display) is smaller leaving black bounds all around it; it seems projected to a smaller surface, resulting in a smaller display experience (not so much to be honest ).
Given that in all pc monitors you can adjust image position and size to best fit its window, I was asking if it could be possible also on this leo device.
Hope you can better understand now...
If, for example, I open Internet Explorer and wait till the address bar and bottom buttons disappear, I'm left with a mostly white display. There IS a border of about 1mm all the way round this.
Is this what you are talking about?
Yes, it should be! In my case the stripe on the left side is a bit thinner than the one on the right...

That's not an active display area. The display shouldn't go to the very edge, so there's nothing wrong with your phone, and no, you can't expand the display.
Ok, thanks a lot!
My Nexus 7 (2012 model) display got broken and I've purchased new Full LCD display+Touch Screen Digitizer (from: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Orig...itizer-for-ASUS-Google-Nexus-7/767556272.html).
Touch screen is working fine, but the display is not working correct.
Problems:
Images is pixelated all the time. Always
Display is not coming properly. Ex: settings screen is supposed to be smooth gray gradient, but coming as color palette (color bars) instead of smooth gradient. (see image 7)
Previous screen is seen next scree. Ex: in settings screen I can see home menu icons (highlighted with red lines)
Sometimes pinkish color is coming, and sometimes whitish tone is coming
I've attached few images I've taken using my Mobile and few screenshots I've taken directly from Nexus 7. In the screenshots you can see the images are pixelated.
Where could be the problem? How does the screen capturing works in Android? I mean as I've taken direct screenshots and those images got pixelated, does that mean problem is with GPU or does Android will capture the image some home from the display?
Can any one tell me how Android screen capture works?
If Android captures what it is sending to display, then the problem is with GPU.
If Android captures the pixels from the display (some how after shown on the screen), then the problem is with LCD.
Can anyone suggest what could be the problem?
(I've attached images as zip file, as direct image upload is lowering the image quality and one may confuse about the actual problem)
Okay, I think I got an answer (or at least part of it).
Answer: Android captures what it is sending to display (technically, from something called FrameBuffer).
So, I think I've problem with GPU connectivity (may be some loose connection?). Can any one confirm?

Hi everyone, just a quick question. When my screen is set to +3 brightness or so I can see that in some menus (for example settings) the colour at the top of the screen is darker than on the bottom!! Please note, you can only see this when the screen is very bright. The more you are looking down on the screen the brighter it gets. When I look at Internet and the backcolour is white it also is darker at the top than on the bottom of the screen.
Is this normal or do I have a defective screen?
Gr. Marc
