Can anyone help me here?
I have an O2 XDA Guide, UK version, came bundled with Copilot 7.
I upgraded the Copilot to ver. 8 with the help of O2 XDA Forums. I did this to see if Copilot 8 was any better, but being a long time Tom Tom user I can not learn to like this app. It sends me round the houses on what should be a simple route.
The XDA Guide was launched in Germany with Tom Tom Navigator 7, what I need is the .dll file associated with the GPS quick launch button.
This will allow me to buy Navigator 7, install and be able to launch from dedicated GPS button.
I have tried, O2 UK, O2 Germany, HTC and Tom Tom, but no one will provide me with this .dll file.
what´s the entire name of this dll?

That would be asking for warez, in which case please see Guidelines, point 11
I second that, although I am not sure whether that counts for TomTom Navigator.
The software can be freely downloaded from their site (this free software is on the 7500 CD), it is the maps that must be bought (these are not on the CD)...

I doubt killershot20 wants to use the software with no maps - not much of a navigation system!!!
Both Spriteback and Tomtom Navigator on the cd are trial versions.
I already have full versions of both.
I just wanted to check them out, is all.
I searching for tomtom 7 maps of Western Europe (720.1803) for my Cruise, but I don't find in tomtom site. Anybody knows where can I buy?

Go to TomTom map shop (http://www.tomtom.com/products/maps/select.php). Select GO 720/720T as model.
I've done this myself, but chose the Norway, Sweden and Denmark map. Work just fine with TomTom 7, except for mapshare that most of the time claims I have an invalid TomTom version for my device. But sometimes it works, and I've been able to download the map corrections.
Note: You'll need to create a My TomTom account (also select Go 720 as model here) and install TomTom Home 2 (not the version for TomTom 6 and pocket PC). You install the purchased map though this application.
i have the ttn 7.910.9185 vga black from this forum and USA/Canada 7 maps.. how do i install them? and the voices? how do i install that.
where do i get that tom tom home 1.5? do i need that? i cant find it to see if thats it...

seems there are multiple threads about the same subject (tomtom Navigator 7.x and tomtom HOME)
warning on the TomTom website when ordering maps for Navigator 7:
Remark "Please note that maps for Navigator 7 are only compatible with devices that have this software pre-installed. Please ensure that you have Navigator 7 installed on your device before purchasing a map."
The maps for Navigator 7 are 8.15 maps.
TomTom v7 is not supposed to be running on a hTC touch HD
tomtom HOME 2.5 is the one you need to install maps for Navigator 7. you can download tomtom HOME from the tomtom website (one of the few items you can download for free)

As far as I know TomTom is a free programm, the maps are paid.....
No, the Software is not Freeware and it is not sold seperatly.
You NEED TO BUY a SMARTPHONE with the actual Software.

I have a HD with tomtom 7.910 from the net....
but my map has been baught from tomtom
and now I ask myself..............is this illegal

The reason you didn't find it is this site does not condone warez you will find no such things here and it's best not to ask
You can download TomTom Home for free here:
http://download.tomtom.com/sweet/application/latest/TomTomHOMEwinlatest.exe
1.) Install it on you PC
2.) Connect your Windows Mobile Device via Active sync
3.) Start TomTom Home. Now you can install TomTom Navigator 7 for free on your Windows Mobile Device
4.) And now ... ... buy the European map of your choice
