Tmobile settings: where can I find them

So, you hard reset your device, you do the softreset to avoid all the branding rubbish and .... your phone won't work because you don't know the password to the internet connection settings and so on.
Question is: where can I find the t-mobile settings, web and walk included?

There is a website I found recently called Google.com . It's some kind of search engine. If you enter "t-mobile uk gprs" and hit search it comes up with loads of links. not sure if the first one helps. Try it out.

Ah-ha. You must feel like a big man now.
Plus, you're wrong, they are not that easy to find. Looking at the first links on the search string you gave, they all list the username for the t-mob connection as being 'user', whereas mine is 't-mobile'.

Hi guys, thanks very much for all the replies!
Signed_UNI_TMO_Connection_112100.CAB did the trick. I didn't seem to need the other file (MMS settings). The only other file I had to fish out of the extended rom is the long_dtmf one. If you don't put that on and try to dial a number, the phone hangs on keypresses :lol:
I'll let you know if I see any other required cab I might have missed. So far the phone is behaving slightly faster - not as big of a difference as I've seen on the O2 branded ones (which hurt from all the crap 02 leaves on them).

if U want to not install branding rubbish, after calibrating touch screen, ppc starts installig. U've got some 3seconds to softreset(small black hole below usb connector) press it and trick is done. Other way use ext_rom unlocker (www.buzzdev.net) remove or move (move is better, there are gprs,mms and other settings in .cab files, U'll figure it out which of them U need) all **** from ext_rom and hard reset

mind checking on our account status now and again.
I've just started to venture in to the world of the custom roms for the Rodium
and noticed they did not have this little handy app.... so with out any further ado this is for yoU

I will update when newer comes out
ps: This has only been tried and tested on Touch-IT Rhodium 6.5-23053
so please let me know if you are having any issue with this app on any other ROM

Hey UK brothers.. Right now im at work(im using me TP2 to post) so im not close to my computer but, I want to see if i can fix this. If you guys could be kind... and find me a link to a
UK T-mobile rom that is downloadable(if one exists) i would be happy to see what i can do

I've don't think there's a T-Mobile UK ROM at the moment - you can only buy the TP2 on T-Mobile through a 3rd-party company right now as T-Mobile don't sell it over here yet.

Thank you for the appreciation sorry i could not do something(i tried to use File Editor Suite to edit it the .exe but, was only able to edit the icons. I try to hex edit the .exe but i was lost..
IF ANYONE KNOWs HOW TO FIX THIS(I think some how thorough hexing it)PLEASE FEEL FREE TO INLIGHIN METhanks.

Yes please someone fix this. I went into regi files with total commander but I can't figure out which ones call T-Mobile to retrieve the info

I installed your my account cab and it reads "Unable to retrieve account info".
I uninstalled, soft reset and reinstalled it to try again but it does not work
I can't think of anything why it would not work.

Does the My Account program use the SIM card to call T-Mobile? Maybe something is missing from my SIM.....like a number??? My SIM card has the #646# (Check my minutes) and (check text usage)... Does the My Account use that?

No problem,
One way to find out.. If its your SIM or not... Flash to another ROM and see if MyAccount works.. Use any one, mine or his there basically the same(i extracted mines from the dump of my phone).... Just my taxi was a little faster

Battery

I want to do a rom update, but the HTC website says i need the serial number for it. I looked up were i could find it and they said it was under my battery. But how do i get it out, i don't have that paperthing under it anymore, it looks impossible for me?

It does come out, but you don't need to do that to get the serial number.
Go to the settings tab, scroll all the way down and select "About". Then select "Phone Identity" and scroll down to see the serial number (S/N).

Okay thanks but now i get a new problem, it says my device is not suitable for this software. I got a Dutch Htc Hd 2 so i don't get why it's nog letting me download it.

Is your HD2 SIM free, or is it from your telco?

Well i'm a real newb at this point, i always had an old prepaid sony ericsson. But i have an subscription with vodafone. (Sorry for my bad English)

That's fine mate - you're making perfect sense. Your English is good.
The ROMs on the HTC site are for unbranded phones (SIM free). You will need to use Goldcard to install the new ROM. Read this thread to learn about it...

While reading all the great threads about WP7 I found that there are quite a lot of people that are not able to get in touch with MS, and they keep on spaming, trying to find one. So here's my idea: do not do this. Just ask here and if there is someone who can help, he could PM you.
So I'll be the first one. Anybody could help me?

Jesus. You DON'T need to call MS in the USA. Call your local MS support (should work in all countries where WP7 is officially launched by the local mobile operators!) and they will give you the code. I'm from Bulgaria and to my extreme surprise I got the code within 5 min from a very friendly customer support agent on Microsoft's toll free 0800 number. The agent didn't ask for anything more than my name and mail adress. He even mailed me the code afterwords for future reference

0844 800 2400 choose option 2 and then option 7

Does anybody know how many times we can use this code to re-activate our phone?
Just asking as I like testing this but I want to go back to android soon but just worried about re-activation issues etc.

Tou can activate 3 different live accounts with 1 code AFAIK. So you shouldn't be having any troubles with switching forth and back between Android and WP7
A notice to bulgarian users. For Bulgaria the MS number is 08001555 (free from all networks!). Choose option 1 from the voice menu and then tell the operator that you need a WP7 code.

Well I was referring to the same live acount but I guess that sort of answers my question anyway. thnx.
Can I ask though why you used 4 different accounts?

Well first when I activated using my Live account, Marketplace didn't work since that Account was created using India as locale.
2nd time I activated with a different ID, but that too turned out to be from India as initial Locale.
3rd time I created a totally new Live ID and this time everything worked perfectly. Marketplace and XBL worked just fine.
But then I thought of migrating my X360 XBL to this new ID and as soon as I did that, the Marketplace not available for your region error came up.
Finally created another account, activated it again and using it!

Ok I called customer service and they needed my name etc, but then IMEI wtf!!!!!
Can anybody please pm me an activation code????

Actually I asked the Agent "If I hard-reset my HD7 p) can I reuse this code ?" And He said "Yes, whenever you format your phone and an error came up you can use this code again just don't give it to any other person" so i assume that the code is valid for My phone (or ID ?) to be used very multiple times but I'm not sure since he didn't mean it directly

Sorry but I think you have to call Microsoft. I don't think it is any other way. Just call Microsoft and tell them you installed Windows Phone to you HTC HD2 and you need an activation key. They will ask your name, phone number, and your e-mail. Give them this info and they will give you a activation key.

well actually I would call them after You flash WP7 to your HD2 cause I don't really know what the whole process involves of entering the activation key being as I have never done it myself cause I have not flashed WP7 to my HD2. But it is all over XDA and other sites that talk about the HD2 that you have to call to get the activation Key to enable cloud services like market places and several other features of WP7.being that you may have to enter the information to your HD2 as you talk to them on the phone I would flash WP7 first then call. But I have read MULTIPLE POST by users that they called and got the activation key with no problems. I think this is because WP7 is a Microsft product and even though the HD2 is not an official WP7 device, they still have to give the key because you can not fully us the product with out it.
Edit: I toke a look at the Windows Phone development section and found this "[Confirmed working]HowTo actvate your wp7/HD2 Live services". I think you Might find this very usefull.

Like the post above me says i installed it first than set up my internet connection (important if not activation will fail) if you had to leave the activation window to set up internet you will get it again when setting up your live account in the email box. the person on the other end of the chat box will be in a hurry make sure you keep him/her on saying you want to make sure everything works right and he has to also know you have successfully activated or he may just decline that key and remember you cant have 2 keys on live at the same time so do not do it it will cut one or maby both off

it it alright and the only reason i have it is to use netflix and it is on my second hd2 which dual boots android too i would not want to use it as my main phone whatsoever if android was secure enough or could spoof my hd2 to one of the secure androids that come with netflix i would be happy and not think of winmo again i do say wm7 is pretty smooth though from what i have used

Well your opinion "sucks" mainly because there is no such thing as WM7, Its WP7 (Windows Phone 7), which is a completley different OS to Windows Mobile.
@ OP
Go into the HD2 WP7 forum, there is plenty of topics on activation. You can do it via email or chat not just phone.
