Hero rom on mytouch 1.2

Ok so i finally rooted my myouch 1.2 but now , How do i install custom roms on it. I am only able to succesfully install the st0kes-v1.5.1-MT3G-LE ROM
all others do not load.
i have the 1.62 G amon recovery and the 2.22.23.02 Radio
I want to install the Hero rom is this possible? and how do I do it.
Please Help Thanks
you need to have a kernel port for the mytouch 1.2 of any rom you want to run.
just look in the Mytouch/Magic dev forums and see which roms are available for Mytouch 1.2/LE/Fender and install from there..
if the rom that you are looking for does not have the kernel port file, or is not compiled for the 1.2/le/fender then you are out of luck..

Android 1.5 help.!!

Someone game me a motorola cliq it has Android 1.5 on it. I already rooted the device but i can't install ROM Manager to install a custom rom cuz its not compatible, in the specs of rom manager says 1.6 an up. anyone has a solution??? I will really appreciate it. thanks guys.
update to the factory 2.1, then use androot to get root again. Install rom manager and all should be good from there. I used (when I had this phone) vanilla eclair and the cliq was waaaaaay faster without all that motoblur crap. good luck.
Thanks !!! i just found the update to 2.1 on motorola website, I'll do that, thank you man!!

Stock Gingerbread Rom 2.3.2 MDJ Kernal 10.4 root problems

Hi, i am currently running "[DISCONTINUED] Stock Gingerbread Rom 2.3.2 MDJ Kernal 10.4 [DISCONTINUED]" ROM made by xboarder56 on my HD2 (2.1 version)
The main thread got closed and i wasn't able to find an answer so i made this thread.
I love the ROM and everythings runs fine except that i can't acquire full root access (discussed in the main thread) and logging wont work (logcat, log commandos in ADB etc..)
In the ( Main Thread it was a fix for this problem (the root problem) for v1.9. So my question is: Has anyone got a fix for this for the v2.1?
Thanks in advance.
And thanks Xboarder56 for a great ROM, i hope you will continue developing this ROM now that "iamgpc" has discontinued his. We really need a good stock Gingerbread ROM out here
EDIT: I am running the DFT version BTW.

[Q] Help! Can Android be rooted on UK O2 HD2, if so, how and where. :-(

Hi,
Need help rooting Android (preferably Gingerbread) on to my UK O2 HD2.
If any one can help or lead me in the right direction, that would be cool.
Thanks everyone and anyone..
All the NAND Android ROMs I have flashed so far have been rooted already when I flash them, one of the perks about flashing a custom Android ROM for any device really. All the ROMs I have flashed were 2.3 Gingerbread. You can check the ROM linked in my sig or the Typhoon Cynagen Mod ROM.

[Q] Reboot HTC HD2 to WM 6.5 from android 2.2

Hi guys, I'm pretty much a newbie to this all and was wondering if anyone could help me get my HD2 back to its original settings of being on WM6.5.
I recently upgraded it to 2.2 by NAND ( no idea what that means) but I was successful on getting it up and running on android.
Im now trying to be more adventurous and see if I can boot the rom to 4.4 but just for safe measures, I'd like to know how I can get the system back. Also if anyone can post the links of what Id need to download to get it to 4.4 and how I need to do that from 2.2 would be great. I don't know if I could just upload another android version on top of the 2.2 or if I would have to remove that first.
Thank you in advance

In future search before posting. To flash a higher version of Android (although 4.4 doesn't exist yet and probably never will) check out the guide in my sig. To flash a stock ROM just download one from the HTC website and flash the RUU in the bootloader.
I tried looking for previous posts that would hep, but this stuff is completely going over my head and I am still determined to get my HTC on an upgraded android version. What android version would you recommend? anything more up-to-date than 2.2 would be great (with everything working, I have read posts where some people have had problems with the camera not working)
I have had a look on the HTC website and they no longer support HD2 :-/ How can I restore it? *confused* I'm a complete newbie and a noob, yup both, but I will not be giving up
Further guidance would be great.
I think a JB ROM would be good if you want functionality and the latest version. If you want stability then 2.3 is probably best. The only real solution is to try a few ROMs out and see what you like best.
