How can I make clicked links in Opera to YouTube videos, etc. be handled by the YouTube player itself instead of the defective "Streaming Media" player?
Tried a search... came up with no answer.

Sorry mate, but the only way I know to do this is to use IE. That works exactly as you ask.

Me too, but you're not the first to ask this and there's not been a solution yet. Fingers crossed!

Hmm, I've never seen that. For me flash videos play inside the browser, be it IE or Opera (after applying flash fix for the latter).

ditto that! we were looking for a specific video the other night - only to discover that the videos available for myoutube is a fraction of what's available at the site. however; it did serve as a distraction for the kiddies during dinner.
Try Tinytube.net
Is there anything special that I need to download to the phone to get it to work? I tried going to the site, but something about javascript not being enabled. I tried searching on here, but came up with a bunch of junk.
You need WM6 and PPC Flash player 7 and you can watch the video on main site with that..
You just need to wait until video fully buffers or it will be choppy otherwise..
Thats how I got it working..
Thanks guys. Got it to work, but it's choppy as hell.

TINYTUBE.NET WORKS GREAT FOR ME!!!!!!
anybody tried this yet. my phone is currently not working well right now so I can't try it.
u can download the plugin here:
http://handheld.softpedia.com/progDownload/TCPMP-Plugin-for-Flash-Video-on-PPC-Download-43412.html
basically it will play flv files over the internet via mobytube.net. mobytube.net is a search engine for google video, youtube, etc....
can anybody confirm this works? this might be our solution for full youtube on our phones.
i hate m.youtube.com. too little videos to watch.
what is tcpmp....ive seen this mentioned in other post and felt dumb to ask

lol @ dude,,,it is thing, that M$ may learn from.
regular youtube.com videos (not m.youtube.com) play fine on my 8125 with nbd8.0 and adobe flash player 7....so I don't know why people are finding all these workarounds for youtube, since it does work. It's just kinda choppy, but I think that's because I don't have an external memory card to buffer big amounts of data...
Sorry if this is old news but I've been looking for something to play flash on my XDA for a while but I couldn't find a mention in any forums, so I tracked this down on the adobe site
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer_pocketpc/downloads/player.html
again sorry if it's old news but you never know someone else may have been looking for the same thing
Edit reason - realised people may skip this if they thought I was looking for a copy rather than I'd found one, also attached the file just in case it disappears from the adobe site
won't play
i've downloaded the flash player and installed it..but i still can't watch videos from youtube??? any suggestions on how i might fix this???

You're right! I was looking for this. Many thanks.
Actually for watching youtube videos flashplayer 7 is not enough, because, if I am right, the video streaming feature (which is used by every video site) has been introduced only in flashplayer 9.
Hi,
This tool will help you to enable flash support into your Opera browser: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4255967&postcount=21

Uploading a ripped movie is illegal and that is not allowed on this site. Search some torrent sites if you want that. Or do some research and learn how to convert it yourself.... which is your best option.

As far as I know, by default Windows Media Player is always selected. But you can download Coreplayer, TCPMP or another and associate .AVI, .WMV etc files with that player and use it as defualt.
Alternitively, just open another player and open the video in that player.
ok last question what player does transformers use

Any player, surely. Although I am sure Windows Media Player won't have the codecs to play a ripped film.
Download TCPMP, it's a very good free media player, it will play all of your films and videos without any problem.

Hmmm, works just fine for me, Coreplayer is my default media player which is pretty much the same as TCPMP
Since I don't have my hands on the Tmous HD2. Could you tell me what is the name of the player that it uses to play movies? ie: Transformers.
He hasn't set up TCPMP correctly. It does play like crap until you set it up.
Use the settings in this post...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5318575&postcount=18
Please read it carefully and use them all. If you only set some of them then TCPMP/CorePlayer will probably just hang.
okay........ transformers plays with htc album
