my spl is 1.66 and my device is still in boot screen
my device have 1.66 rom and can not downgrade to 1.48 or 1.61 ( error not allowed )
i need to hard spl for spl 1.66
please help me

Otherwise the installation will fail!
To check your SPL version, hold the Volume Down button and do a reset.
It is possible to downgrade to this SPL, by just flashing to an Official ROM with this SPL version. ( can not downgrade, not allowed error ) (

PLZ Help
I successfully downgraded from a 1.66 rom with SPL1.66 to a 1.66rom with SPL1.42 by simply using the 1.66 stock rom for my region.
If the 1.66rom with 1.66SPL IS your stock rom than I would guess that you need a Goldcard to flash another stock rom with 1.42SPL

i tested 1.61 rom but no any change in my spl

He doesn't have spl 1.42.6666, he has 1.66.0000 and can't run hspl.

There's not much you can do if you can't find a rom for your area/device which has spl 1.42.0000. You will either have to wait for someone to crack the 1.66 spl or use a cooked rom which does not require you to upgrade your radio.

hello guys what can u say about the 2.10 ROM it's official or custom? i have a 1.66 stock and i want to know if it worth it to upgrade to 2.10 it's stable? any improvements?
2.10 is a ship rom from T-Mobile US
So it is T-Mobile branded
AND: It has the new SPL2.0x (2.08 I guess). You 1.66 rom has either SPL 1.42 or maybe SPL 1.66
But from SPL 2.08 you CANNOT downgrade to SPL 1.42 and use anymore the HSPL. So you would be trapped.
Therefore for a "normal" user it is not recommended to flash this US 2.10 rom.

yes it does
and it is the base rom for many great roms for HSPL 1.42 here in this forum with 576ram and without ...
Do not forget to choose the right radio for roms with 576 ram!!!

I guess you have at least the choice of maybe 20 different roms - one better than the other and vice versa.

I flashed the new hd2 rom from tmobile a few months after they released the device and I don't recall going through the hardspl process when I flashed the new rom. Do I need to do the hardspl before I flash a custom rom?
By the way it has HardSpl 2.10 on it from T-MO I guess

I want to flash to a custom rom. So do I have to SPL first? or no since I did the USA T-MO HTC HD2 Update in like March(Hardspl 2.10 already on phone?)?

no, its was spl 2.10.0000, hard spl is hacked spl, and will never ship from tmo with hard spl on .
Use hspl3, change the dropdown to 2.08.hspl and you are good to go
My friend got a new HD2 from the store and the SPL version is 3.03
We cannot use the HSPL3 tool for that right?
Do we have a new HSPL for the SPL 3.03?

yes an older (correct)stock rom changes everything.
if you want to try the cooked roms based on 3.14 roms, you will need to re apply spl 3.03 and then use sspl to flash the rom, else hspl will make the rom not work.

flash a compatible 3.14 rom or use a goldcard if there isn't a 3.14 release for your phone yet

A little while back I began read some people were getting stuck on a stock ROM and were unable to downgrade to reinstall HSPL3.
Is this true or have they found a way to downgrade them? Also if there are still HD2's with unhackable spl's or ROM versions which can't be downgraded and flashed with HSPL3, can you please list them here?

SPL 3.14 is the one you are looking for. However, the issue is fixed by flashing an older official "stock" ROM and then trying HSPL3. I recommend flashing the 2.10 ROM, which is the one our phones "shipped" with before any upgrades.

So if I flash the official 2.10.0 found on "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=655653", is it the same thing as the 2.10? If I do flash it do I just use the built in RUU update utility?
This will also allow HSPL3 to be installed from I read right?
first go to your bootoader tricolour screen and find your spl version .tmous new 3.14 rom has 2.10 spl, but international 3.14 rom has spl 3.03.............the problems are with 3.03.spl..it is incompatible with hspl...............if you have 2.10 spl, you have no problem putting hspl on your device

You only have to install an "official" stock ROM with a lower SPL of 2.10 or lower. You can then HSPL3 with no issues.
