Maybe this little survey will help me choose my next rom.I have tried most of them .Some are similar, some are outstanding.I have been jumping between Miri`s and Dutty`s roms lately.Great chefs.they have cooked some of the best.but are there better chefs out there. i have a disease.... i can never be satisfied. i want more and more everyday . i flash roms almost every 3 days in search of speed ,bugfree and unique roms. so whats everyones opinion on this one.which chef has cooked the best rom sofar?

Topix ---> Stable,Fast, Long life of batery......

If you have tried most of them then you should be able to make your own decision.

Grats on being a tool.
I am using panosha's think rom ( 6.0 ) and i am loving it man, i might as well try 6.1 in couple of days but for the time being think rom suits me .
I'm using bepe 0.54 (without TomTom) cos its windows 6.1. It seems faster than standard and stable... Give it a go!
Stable = Panosha's Light & Butterfly Edition.
Faster = Bepe's 5.4 Special Edition Full.(Really Rocks)

Are you for real?
How hard it is to read through the original threads of the roms and SEE USER OPINIONS ALREADY on each of the roms?
AND why would you just take someones word on it without trying it your self?

reyjabs , have you made some tests with spb Benchmark or somethink else ?

Have you seen the number of pages for each? Also, how many of those posts are about little user problems? I personally found this thread useful as it COMPARES each release to one another. I really hate it when someone replies to a post with the typical troll comments like "search" or "have you not read the (500 pg) post?" If you don't have something helpful for a poster, just don't write anything at all.

Absolutely, this thread has encouraged me to make the leap.
Question though; has anyone flashed their UK O2 Polaris phones?
THX for the recommendations, hey what about this project where some people did collect some money to create a ROM and named Polaris Project...???
Did they something...???

reading all the post is not better that a full direct recommendation from the users, thats the way that i asked for, it helps too another users to filter unneeded information as i've found on the ROM's threads. Also we can chart the quality and usability of all the ROM posted up to now. Anyway THX for the answer. Don't forget we're in a Forum, Q&A.

In search for a ROM!

Hello,
I had touch it before but there was freeware pop ups, my contacts didn't work good they showed up double.
The rest is pretty satisfied.
Now i need a rom WM6.1 if possible.
That is fat, black, and has some of the cool stuff but not too much so it still remains fast.
What can you suggest?
Best regards,
Vincent
I tested WM 6.1 on my herald in many variations, but it never reaches the speed of wm 6.5. Especially TF2D is much slower than Titanium. So i recommend you to try a rom with this version.
This is not a ROM development question. Please post under the correct forum next time. (Herald or Herald 6 will do for now, until we get the forums renamed.) Also, do a search next time and try the all of them until you find one you like. Everyone has their own tastes.

ok lol whats your best rom?
You can try Energy Roms created by NRGZ28. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=591784
Rom's are fully loaded with all the stuff that a user needs!
The ONE listed on my sig rules.
you can choose one of the lot of good ROMs here. Everybody´s prefering different ROMs. So test some of them. Most of them are really good

The one in your signature (Hyperom Ultimate), my friend, is not fully loaded: it's a clean rom, fast, with lots of free memory. I know it because my sig is the same as yours
But anyway, the OP wasted a thread by opening a thread without reading the title of the 6 or 7 first threads. There is one detailling the roms...
Moderators, please close this useless thread.
I am sorry, we don't do best rom threads. I must have said this a thousand times.
Asking what the best rom is can be very similar to asking 20 men what the best beer is.
Closing this now.

Help What build of Android should I use PLEASE????

Hi everyone, this is my issue I want to use the android but to tell you the truth I don't know which one to use, there are so many and each one I have read about have some sort of issue. I think if the chefs focus on working together to better one build of Android instead of recreate a new build for every little feature we all would be happy. After that is achieved the chefs can focus on working towards what they desire in their own cooked up version. I would be willing to pay a little something for all the hard work and i'm sure a lot of other users would to. It's just my stupid input but I think it would be a lot more time saving and use full than having to install 5 different cooked up roms to find out what build works the best.
By the way can anyone that has tried different builds tell me what would be best to install? I'm looking for something stable fast with Sense and I would also like to know what cooked up windows rom would work best with it. THANKS EVERYONE!!!
Oh I'm using 2.13 from tmobile!!!!
Wow did you just step into it..
Im just going to sit here with my popcorn and watch what happens..
Oh no...mods please close before this poor guy gets flamed. There was enough flaming in the 'too many mdeejay builds' thread
OP, here's the only response you're gonna get to this questions cause it's been asked 100 times before...
Try them out. Go through the different build threads and read..and read..and read. Different builds work better or worse for different people. It has a lot to do with your specific phone/winmo rom/radio/sd card/other data.
Not a single build is 100% perfect yet. Just have to find the one that works best for your usage.
On the bright side, it doesn't take much to install/uninstall/install a new Android build, so it isn't too much of a hassle trying different ones out to see what works best for you.
Good luck!

do you mind if i take some of that?... i just ate all mine watching the thread by the guy who hates mdeejay lol.
seriously, people need to start getting bans/suspensions.
OP:
do what most of the adults are doing... try some builds FOR YOURSELF and see what you like or dont like.
First you are (probably) going to have to flash a new WM ROM and radio.
do some research on this or you will most likely brick your HD2.
No-one here will give you any more help than the advice here ^^^
now for the love of god.... someone beer-me... i need a drink
I agree with tgtoys...but to help you out I personally use hyperdroid and I have less issues with it than most WM roms I have flashed...nearly everything works and works good. I have minimal freeze issues (similar to WM). I use Android every single day with no regrets...and it is my business phone! GL
@op, please try the build that fits you best.
@others... stop flaming the guy for his question and post somthing useful.

True and I feel its very disrespectful to the developers because they put their heart and soul in these roms. This far in android development all roms are super smooth and fast. It's just a matter of preference. I tried a lot of roms both gingerbread and sense hd and believe me some of these roms run close to if not better than native android devices. So please close this thread and go find some better to do than to insult the great devs of xda.

That is simply not true, there is a lot to be done in terms of Sense Roms. However, many dev's are working hard to change that and it is only a matter of time to see Sense Roms as smooth as Stock/CM/MIUI roms...
This thread is very disrespectful to the devs indeed. +1

you can better change the titel to ''flame me'' watching to this titel i can see that you get flames.
maybe it's better to close this thread.
Actually I think what thread starter is trying to do is to see which is the most popular ROM. Not which ROM is the best, smooth, fast, battery life etc. So I think it is ok. Most popular ROM does not mean best ROM and best Rom does not mean most popular ROM. Hence it is really about preference. No correct answer.
ill say none of the above
but this really needs closing, there is no need to make this type of thread as mentioned the devs work hard to release their roms and it isnt some sort of wang judging contest to see whos the best
according to what other people says, i want to say something.
i think also that this thread is "wrong" i think.. the title is wrong.. i'd used something that "what rom do you prefer according your taste", i think that some people at first flash can found here the first rom to try, only the first, because is needed to try all of the roms.. because all roms are great. i change rom every 2 days.. when i found a rom that i prefer.. make a donation.. and use it for a few weeks! by the way... congratulations to all dev for their great works!
EDIT: liehuo anticipadet me! and sorry for my english!
