is it possible to do a full format and return to stock ROM with no-root and do it all from the beginning?
any links would be useful
If you've already unlocked your bootloader, there's no way to reverse that. You can flash to a stock ROM though.

I will RMA my phone since I found hardware defect. In the meantime, I've flashed a custom rom and I am trying to go back to stock completely.
First of all, is it possible to go back to the stock without any traces?
If so, how?
Is it enough just to flash the stock rom through toolkit and re-lock the bootloader?
Or this way: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010312
I'd assume the Toolkit is just scripting the same process.
Is there an easy way to return to the latest stock rom or the one before the latest? When I received the M I have it didn't have the stock rom on it or a backup of the stock rom so I was hoping there was a way to return to stock but still keep my unlocked boot loader and re-root.
My goal is to return to stock, root, install recovery, make a backup so I have a stock backup then flash the current rom I'm using now. If anyone has or could tell me the steps I need I would appreciate it. I don't want to lose the boot loader unlock so I won't be able to install roms

It's impossible to re-lock your bootloader. You can use Avi's solution, you can flash the FXZ from here http://sbf.droid-developers.org/scorpion_mini_xt907/list.php and re-root witth Motochopper or by flashing SU in recovery, or you can use Matt's utility 1.20 to flash to stock. There is also a pre-rooted, de-bloated ROM here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2408763 and stock flashable ROM here http://batakang.com/ftp/?dir=devs/mhous33/XT907.
Your easiest bet is to use Avi's solution or flash one of the last 2 ROMs I listed. If you FXZ back to stock or use Matt's utility, you'll need to re-install your aftermarket recovery. With the last 2 ROMs, they can simply just be flashed in your aftermarket recovery.
I need help
I successfully rooted, unlocked the bootloader and installed CM11 on my Z1C, but now I have a hardware fault (microphone sounds terrible) and need to send the phone back to Sony. As far as I know I need to put a PURE STOCK kernel and ROM on my device before locking the bootloader? Does anyone know what I need to do/where to get the PURE STOCK files from? any info would be greatly appreciated.
Use the Sony Companion application to install your region's stock firmware?
Keep in mind that to restore your TA backup you need root. I advise you to upgrade to a rooted stock firmware (and stock kernel), restore TA backup (thus relocking bootloader). After that, flash again a full stock firmware (preferably your stock cust #) and wipe everything.
Hey guys.
I have just unlocked the bootloader on my p9 and am about to flash TWRP and root. It got me thinking:
Is there a way to return it to complete stock if want to just in case? I've seen firmware lying around on the forum, but does it return the phone completely to stock? And in that case, how do exactly do I flash it?
And furthermore, is there a way to backup the stock recovery image?
Yes, you can unlock/lock bootloader, procedure is similar...
And you can flash stock recovery again, is not need to backup, around is a toolkit who do what you want (unlock/lock, root, flash stock recovery etc)...
Yes, flashing the stock ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/development/stock-firmware-links-t3468245) will relock the bootloader
Guys Please help me. I am having Moto X Play (XT1562 dual sim version) which is unlocked bootloader, TWRP recovery, Rooted and Xposed framework flashed. Rom is stocked rom. Now I would like to revert to the stock recovery with stocked rom. How could I do it.
Once I installed Cyanogenmod Rom for my device and i returned to stock rom as per guidelines provided by senior member. I have all those files that needed at that time. but that is for whole ROM but now for me I need only stock recovery. Can I flash only recovery.img file that I extracted from stock factory image?
Please advice.
yes, you need to flash recovery.img from stock firmware. just make sure it's intendended for your phone model.

AFAIK you can't revert your phone to fully locked state (your warranty will be void no matter what you do), you can only re-lock it. Hre's a thread about it:
