My friends sisters cousins boyfriends dog sitter just got back from the swampy region in Antartica, and you'll never guess what he brought back! A 15 inch widescreen iPhone which runs windows mobile! Other than that, it quad boots from those two monsters, to run the psp platform, linux, windowsVista, and atari! PLUS THATS NOT ALL!!! Its powered by a hampster in a wheel which come with a custom water bottle (for more SPEED)!!! And just when I thought it couldnt get any better, THERE WAS MORE!!!! When you hit the red button located on the atari screen, your able to use it as a can opener, screw driver, and hair drier! Plus we just downloaded a freeware program which unlocked the MICROWAVE & TOASTER OVEN FUNCTION! This thing is also equipped wth 22 inch Giovani spinners and two kenwood 12inch subs. Its also a good babysitter for those long nights out! Im no tech, but Ill post pics in 3564 years! Keep asking thou, I may do it tomorrow when I get off work from the multi million dollar company I own called Microsoft! By the way Can some one please tell me how to get coverflow to work with s2p while still having the artists listed as seperat folders?

Im not disagreeing with the mods. This guy should have been banned. But I dont disagree with vogue_trip either. I mean look at it. This guy made up a post that everyone knew was fake. Apparently used three screen names to do it, and its still not closed. Its pulled alot of time away from peoples threads that were serious. XDA is by far the best sight around. Anyone with a PPC comes here for every answer there is. The guy who started all of this is a joke and in my opinion doesnt deserve the benefits from this amazing sight. I noticed he was doing similar things @ ppcgeeks as well. So I dont disagree with this guys frustration but h went about it all wrong. So Im sticking with my opinion, 2 posts or a milliion. They all need ban. They dont deserve the excellent services on this site.

This forum needs one of those setups where when you starting creating a thread the forum searches for keywords and gives you options of threads that have already been created before creating the thread. Ive seen it done before. They should implement something like that since no one likes to or knows how to use the search feature.

we got 2.1, the only good that can come of this is the brillant dev's here taking the crap sprint dishes out and making something truly awesome. Which is really hard to imagine since DC's current rom is pretty dam on the money, at least for me anyway.
I propose that the next person to post that link be banned.
Ya I would only care from one of these if it was an OFFICAL date from sprint. and then I would just blow it off anyway and continue using my Rom like nothing happened

I think the post is accurate, it does say HTC Hero roll out April 16th FOR Europe though “Nordic/Greek/RUS/UKR/SA” regions. They say it will trickle down to Sprint which will most likely be April 30th which sounds pretty close.
I could've sworn this was a discussion forum about the development of the CDMA Hero. Weird.
I must be lost because these people don't want to know any of the news (which does often include rumors).
According to official sources, the long awaited HTC Hero update 2.1 will be released to European markets on Friday 30th April,

Hey if I post enough times they will let me post in the development section. So I end up killing two birds with one stone.
Have to say I'm glad that there is a place like xda for people to share their ideas and work. Otherwise I would probably have upgraded my little hero by now. Still actually enjoy the little phone. When I get tired of it I switch roms and boom got a new phone.
Where I live all we have is 3g so don't really figure it pays to upgrade til sprint figures out what they are doing with their 4g.

Man I remember when this forum was hoppin. I knew nothing of android. Just lurking and reading whatever I could understand. Now.. I develop for it And all thanks to XDA. Almost everything I learned, I learned here. It takes a lot of time reading and searching and understanding.
New users. Feel free to post here if you can't post in the development threads. Just please refrain from "stupid" questions that can easily be answered with a search. Please read the forum rules. I beg of you. They are there for a good reason. Us senior members remember what it was like being new here but it gets old answering the same questions over and over. just want to pop in and say thank you to all the devs for letting me come in late to the hero life cycle and still use this awesome little phone like its brand new. coming from the xdandroid builds on winmo phones to the vogue with android port and now to the hero, im not giving up on this thing for a long time to come. legacy is not a word to use for this device yet.
Exactly. We aren't technically low-activity IMO. Just quiet users who are afraid to post maybe. I know my reputation is the resident prick here but that's changed. Those of us older members remember what it was like here and why I took that stance. I could look in my history again and find some really good examples of why I was the way I was, and maybe still am. I hear the shooter forums are quite the riot and I've stayed away for a reason.

Thats the day I bought the xda app, for some reason I thought that the free version no longer included the hero forum (what an idiot so I bought it and still couldn't find my forum. I finally got on my laptop and joined the ruckus. #occupyXDA to bring us back...again!
