Does anyone have any idea why I keep getting this message:
"Installation of Microsoft Voice Command US SP 1.60 M2M.CAB was unsuccessful"
I've tried installing this on my MDA several different ways, from main memory via the cab, no luck, From the storage card, no luck, and from add/remove programs in AS, no luck. I'm almost positive it's a user error, (or as I like to say, an ID10T error), but I'm stumped?
Any help would be great.
Thanks

that used to happen to me a lot because I flash roms a lot and vc usually gives problems reinstalling. I think its a ms issue. keep trying to uninstall and soft resetting. if it doesn't work just keep resetting and uninstalling until it does. it'll work.
good luck
Tried a dozen or so times, still no luck. I've even tried a different ROM and got the same message.
oh oops. i forgot to tell you to reinstall it from the desktop installer. then don't uninstall it from the phone. use activesync to uninstall. when that happens keep soft resetting. try to install after a bunch of soft resets. when you soft reset don't use the soft reset button. power the unit off and then on.
that should work
I just noticed...I'm not trying to UNinstall, I'm trying to Install
Well, Proof it's Monday. It was an ID10T Error
The wizard is a PPC, not a Smartphone, Once I used the right version, it worked fine.
DUH!!!!
After I updated my G1 to the OS ver 1.5, it got the problem that shows some process has stopped unexpectedly. It appears every time when the phone powered up.
Actually this error always comes with two massage, one is about process "com.google.android.talk", and another is process "com.google.process.gapps".
In additional, the application "Google talk" cant work by the reason of "com.gppgle.android.talk" as well. And the icon of the application "im" is disappeared (i still can see it in application mangaer).
I tried to fix it, but seems the restore cant help with that. The error still shows up after the factory data reset.
I checked the application manager, there dont have any process called "com.google.android.talk" or "com.google.process.gapps".
Im totally confused. How can I fix it?
P.S. The phone works good with other funtions so far.

Can you give some details about the phone. Is it rooted? If so, what rom your using?
I tried installing several pkgs of android on my HTC pure. I keep on getting an error
*is not certified" and "missing components". Both errors on one dialog box.
I kept thinking that it was the certification error. But now I am starting to think that something is not registered inside winmo that is causing the error.
Note that this is the factory ROM. Note I set my sd root up exactly as instructed.
Also not that when installing a cab, the progress bar starts. But it shows no progress and I eventually get an "unsuccessful install" page.
Well, after about 8hrs of work, it came to mind that I might have deleted some factory files while installing and uninstalling a bunch of software. So I did a hard'
reset. This cured the Haret.exe problem.
Now I am on to the next problem which is the progress bar stopping short of the full android boot.
Hello,
I have a lg2 with Android 5.0.2.
For a long time i was on CM but i had too many problem so i a factory reset (wipe all...) and i come back on stock.
Everything went fine then i install Facebook app and i saw the message: "The process android.process.acore has stopped" indefinitely. I uninstall fb app and it solves it. Today i install pushbullet then again same problem... so i try to uninstall it... but the message stay.
So i do another factory reset... i installed facebook and pushbullet, everything work. I installed aquamail (that works before) and then, this f*****ing message appeared again. I try to uninstall aquamail but it stays ://.
So i've looked on a lot of post here and then... and i don't find any solution. It drives me crazy and i can't use my phone.
List of things i tried:
-factory reset
-go offline/turn off sync and try to clear cache/data and force stop contacts and contacts storage.
Do you have anymore idea?
android.process.acore has stopped
Wow you posted this way back when and no answers? I dug out my old LG G2 running 5.1.2 I think and after installing Whatsapp I got the same error and it makes the phone unusable.
Did you ever find out a solution? Would love to know a fix for this.
So I first installed root for S5 from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2696537
Then I decided to install TWRP from here via Odin: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2697762
And after that I executed "Fix Permissions" in TWRP
and after that when system reboots it shows "Android Upgrading" message for a brief moment, and ten few dozens alerts show up saying "APP_NAME stopped working".
Then I re-installed the same root via Odin, but then when the phone boots, it shows the message "Android upgrading <br> Opening apps". This message is shown for about a minute or two and then again, few dozens alerts show up saying "APP_NAME stopped working".
I think this "Fix permissions" messed up the phone, so I'm wondering is there a way to fix this without factory reset or installing new ROM???
Regards
Why did you wanted to fix them? Wre they broken? Well, now they are.
