Hello.
i am a Pocket Informant user and wish to change from the Sense calendar to the PI Calendar.
I have had a look through the registry and found nothing - least with the settings i am using. I have also trolled through the various files and folders.
I thought that it would simply be a matter of finding the EXE that launches the Sense Calendar and renaming to old and replacing with the PI Calendar.exe, but i can't find it.
Can anyone help?

I've got myself a new Vario, but I can't seem to get the contacts to sort by first name - is there any way to do this?
Sorry if this is a dumb question! I've been mucking about with it for ages!
Many thanks
Zakkz,

yes it is possible,
even different ways to get this:
you can use a little freeware application 'File As First Last" that will be included in the default contacts applications. It allows you to save the contact by "firstname lastname" 'or even by company etc. The application can be found on pocketpcfreewares.com: http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=828
you could also change the contact settings on your desktop...within the Outlook contact, you can change the setting 'save contact as', there you can chose to use "firstname lastname"
yet another way to solve this problem is to use another application for your contacts. Pocket Informant is really very good! there you can easily chose to sort the contacts by "firstname lastname"...you can also chose to see the contact pictures in the list of contacts, which is really great I think!
and you've got many many other options and settings to change the calendar/contacts/tasks views...also a really great search function within Pocket Informant...try it for yourself...

If I close Contacts application with Filter by one Category, when I open it again, it shows my all contacts, is it possible to do that when you open Contacts application it shows contacts filtered by one category?
Thank you.
Not possible, as far as I know.
Use iContact instead, it allows you to start in Favourites view and the Favourites category is definable.
I'm using iContact BE 6.4.5 with the Lycox Diamond skin.
Can I use icontact with TouchFlo 3D?
Where can i get it?
Can I synchronize it with Outlook in my PC?
I have installed it and it is Ok.
I see that it substitute Contacts and so, forget my question about synchronization.
Is it no possible to close it? (it remains active and you have to close it trought Task manager, is it?)
Thank you.
How do you defined the Favourite category?
In Favourite you have the contacts that you add to favourites by pressing the star, but can you asign categories in Outlook and fix one of this categories (family, for exemple) as Favourite?
Thank you

These things are configurable through iContact config.
To get it working properly with TF3D you may have to use a TF3D editor.
Thank you.
All my problems was that iContact config did not appear on my PDA settings. But I have found it in iContact carper an run it directly and, now, it seems to work well.
I found something interesting while fiddling with my TP2. I've been trying to change the Home page: Calender (appointments) to point to PI with no avail. PI is the default PIM for my phone and the right soft key was changed to point to it.
Here's the catch: When TF3D (Manila) shows an appointment, it will open to MS poutlook calender. It so happened that I have no recorded appointment showing today and it merely showed "Calender." I pressed on it and it went on to fire up PI, much ot my surprise. I added an appointment and tested but it went to MS poutlook. I deleted the appointment and the "Calender" again opens up PI.
Now if someone can help to point me to the registry on the calling up of appointments by TF3D from MS poutlook, it may just be possible to change the default calender to whatever we choose (PI and what have you).
Thanks in advance.
This is something I am having trouble with too!
I have used SSMaHo and when click on "calendar" in the programs screen it works fine....just not for the appointment links on the today screen.
Thanks in advance!
Would be great. I have been searching and found nothing so far....
FT3D and PI
I do not know if this helps but I ran across this:

In my PC the Internet Favorites' Library is arranged in a way that most of the links are stored in sub folders as according to the subfolder issue. That is to allow quick search among large number of stored links.
Regretfully after copying the favorites list to the HD2 – the HD2 will present all links in one long list.
So if you have 300 links, you have to roll it a lot till you reach link number 288That is frustrating and makes it not useful at all.
Is there any way to rearrange the HD2 Internet Favorites' library in windows style with subfolders?
Thank u all in advance.
You can use sub folders, but sadly when you open your favourites, the sub folders are displayed open.
Silly really, but it seems there is no specific fix just yet.
If you are using Opera, you can get the "old style bookmarkfolders" back by changing the value of "HKLM/Software/Opera/Info/UseOperaBookmark" of 0 to 1.
yea that opera one is a bit awkward, because opera doesnt get its bookmarks from the WMDC sync (the mobile favourites are synced with int exp on the pc as part of sync) and the manila tab favourites wont see the opera fav structure, only the synced one.
Solution ?
So maybe someone can take it as a challenge and create a solution for the benefit of all users?
Thank u all.
This is why I keep hoping Fennec will stop sucking; so I can transfer my Firefox bookmarks straight over.

heh, maybe yea, but then it becomes an extra task to perform regularly., and how about new favs created in opera? you gotta export them the other way too. Easy to forget, flash, gone.
(Doesn't affect me, lol i only have a dozen mobile favs, so i didnt look much deeper into the issue)
Having upgraded from an older HTC that ran the same version of windows software I was disappointed to find that when adding a new calendar entry that the categories are not updated in line with the ones on the PC it was synced with. You cant even add new categories on the phone which would have at least helped.
Has anyone found a way round this..?
Anyone....?
I found that if you use the calendar option under Outlook then the have the categories as before. It's only if you use the link from the front screen that your options are limited.
