On the stock HTC sence, there is a Twitter App on the bottom bar, is it possible to swapp this with a facebook one?
I don't believe their is a tab for Facebook on the Sense tabs currently. Best you can do is put Facebook on a quick link on the Home Screen. Then again the Windows Mobile Facebook program is quite crap, use the mobile web one instead.

Simple one, how do I set the desire sense UI web browser to display a full webpage not the mobile vsrsiln, the site in particular is chimet.co.uk which I use for kitesurfing. I can do this with the dolphin browser but want to use the standard one with the HTC bookmark widget.
Thanks.

go into the browser settings and remove the checkmark for Mobile View and you should get the desktop browser view.

I don't think you can through the app you will have to log onto the internet and get to it.
You most certainly can.
Once one the main page, hit the menu soft key and then Search.
I'm running version 1.1.0.17, which is not the stock app, rather the one on Windows Marketplace. Most Popular. Do not recall if the stock app had this feature or not.
I just looked in the marketplace and they have a version 1.2
I'm pretty sure that when you install "1.2" you actually get 1.1.0.17.
Is there any way to get HTC sense browser on a stock nexus build? I've found that I'm able to go onto to more flash based websites on the HTC browser than an android browser. Is it possible to have as an apk?
PS: I'm on my phone so I can't really search because my phone doesn't really allow you to use the search feature.
I'm not sure but isn't the HTC browser the same as the stock Froyo browser? Just with another surface?
I don't think so. The UI is different. And I'm able to view more websites as a desktop view than I am with the android version.

Hmm.. dunno.
But I think it isn't possible, cause the HTC Sense apps can't be installed like any other app, they're integrated in every build. I have tried to extract some apps out of the galaxy S rom. And they couldn't be installed, so I think there's no way to get this done.
I'm interested in this as well, the issue i have is that the htc sense browser has the ability to handle coded links (scrollable) where the android browser can not (non scrollable)
You Won't be able to. Either use a sense build and remove the htc stuff you dont need or try another Browser from market where you can switch to mobile look and back. There are plenty ...

How do you think about widgets? Here some ideas:
1x1 Widget Count of Notifications on click -> Notifications
1x1 Widget Count Chatpartners online on click -> Chat
1x1 Widget Contact xy is online?
4x1 Widget Add new Status from Widget
4x2 Widget Scroll across Newest Post, Add new Status
3x1 Widget Add Places (if aviable for non-fb dev's)
if you like more: PM
add change profile pic n change user info
Id be interested, could you also make a scrollable widget like in launcher pro.
That would be sweet

In the current app you cannot respond to a "poke".
Maybe you can add that as well?

unfortunately you can't poke outside of the website either you can only view who has poked you. don't ask me why
if you made it so you can view more then the first 30 or so parts of a threaded message (the current version of official app doesnt) i would pay for it.

the first 30 or so replies? wow, I've never seen a thread on facebook that big. I don't even know how I would test it do you have an example of a public thread with that many replies?
If you could make it support posting on pages as the admin me & my band would also love you <3

I agree!
So it seems that only certain apps work with multi-screen and it is not just samsung apps.
Here I plan (with your help) to create a difinitive list of all apps that will work.
I have already noticed that some apps allow themselves to be splitscreened even when they do not appear in that list e.g. official twitter app.
Some apps you will find when you press the edit button, you can then drag them to the main list, or remove ones you do not use.
Samsung Apps
- ChatON
- Email
- Gallery
- Internet
- Messaging
- S-Note
- Video Player
Google Apps
- Chrome
- Gmail
- Maps
- Talk
- Youtube
Third Party Apps
- Facebook
- Official Twitter app
- Polaris (Viewer)
Note: you will need to be using Samsung stock keyboard to benefit from typing when on multi-screen mode, otherwise your keyboard will cover the entire bottom screen.
I just installed the official Twitter app and it is now in the multiscreen menu tab

weird its not showing up for me, did you login to the app? maybe its because I have not logged in?
What about S-planner and Calculator app? I would think these would be two of the most useful to use multi-screen, or at least floating over the screen like the galaxy tabs.

a '*' denotes that the app works in split screen but cannot be selected from the list, it must be activated first then another added as the second screen, therefore two apps with the '*' will not be able to be paired together.

Mine had Twitter in it from the time the multi view was installed.
I had to press edit and drag the twitter icon from there.

Thanks for the info. Bewildering why they would leave out calculator and S-planner from split screen. Two apps that would seem to benefit most from it.
Maybe Samsung will add more apps at future firmware updates.

Anyone know if there is a multi-screen api that devs can use to make compatible apps? It would be epic to get tapatalk and Skype added to the list.

Would love to use Skype with Multi-window. A video call while being able to use the phone.Actually, imagine Skype with video pop up. That would be fairly handy.
Looking forward to the future of the Note 2.

Press and hold the back button for 2-3 seconds. If nothing happens then your firmware doesn't support multiview.
