i lost 37% of battery on 3h 30min of continues operation with 1 hour and 44m wifi and browsing
so is that considered to be normal?

performed a little test this morning, wanted to see how much battery gets drained by just leaving the screen turned ON on different brightness settings. Here are my results:
screen test
9:03 90% wifi/3g off, screen brightness 100% (non-airplane-mode)
9:23 83%
9:43 75%
9:53 71%
10:03 67%
finished
batt usage - display 85%, xscope 6%, android system 3%, live paper 3%, cell standby 2%
100% brightness for 1 hour drained 23% battery , 4% PER 10MIN
-------------------------------
10:04 67% wifi/3g off, screen brightness 30% (non-airplane-mode)
10:14 65%
10:44 58%
10:54 56%
11:04 54%
display 86%, xscope 5%, live wallpaper 4%, android system 3%, cell standby 2%
-----
30% brightness for 1hour drained 13% battery, 2.16% per 10mins.
------------------------------
11:06 53% wifi/3g off, screen brightness 20% (non-airplane-mode)
11:26 51%
11:46 46%
12:06 41%
20% brightness for 1hour drained 12% battery , 2% per 10mins
display 87%, live 4%, xscope 4%, android system 3%, cell standby 2%
so to sum it all up, this is not a very accurate test, just a test I did to see for myself how the screen affects the battery life as I notice my battery drains quickly especially while browsing etc...
just thought I share this with the community incase anyone is interested in these results!
i use it on the lowest brightness (as i do with all screens etc) and get a good day and a half - around 35 hours i'd say...
It would be more accurate if they all startet at 100% battery. But still it shows us enough, the screen sucks energy.
I think many people would like an app that is able to change settings in to the auto brightness setting. So that when the phone thinks, hey it's light, let's do 80% brightness, you can set it so that it will think let's do 60% brightness.
That would be nice. Sorry for the bad explanation, I''m tired
Last night I let the battery drain all the way to shut the phone off. Then I plugged it and left it charging overnight so this morning I started with a full charge.
Right before the phone died again tonight (1%battery) I read the following use:
cell standby 47% 12:47
phone idle 42% 12:22
bluetooth 7% 1:57
wifi 4% 1:01
display 3% 0:24
In short, the battery lasted to keep the phone on for less than 13 hrs, including 2 hrs of bluetooth, 1 hr of wifi and just 24 mins of actual screen usage.
Is this the expectancy, or my battery is failing?
Thanks
It's hard to tell.. There are a lot of other variables to take into account other than those stats.
It would be nice to have an idea of how much usage/standby people get, just for reference.
Thanks
This is odd. On idle, it took nearly 3 hours to go from 62% to 61% which I'm very happy with. After that it started going down a bit quicker. Waking up after 7 and a half hours, the battery had gone from 49% to 42%, so about 1% per hour. While that's not so bad, why would it start to go down fast? Since it took nearly 3 hours to move 1%, I'd have thought it should be at about 46 or 47% after waking up. Is there a % threshold where the battery drains quicker?
Current uptime, mostly from idle, and power saving mode from 50%.

maybe this battery drain problem started randomly on you device after 61% ...
but you do not have this wifi sharing or manager app that drain battery..this is strange..maybe your battery needs to be calibrated
.

Thanks for your reply. Where do I find the battery calibration setting? I can only find calibration for gyrosensor and horizontal.

Do you have any apps running at all? Mine is going from 100% to 10% in ~7-8 hours with mid usage :-(
Hi, got my e7 2 days ago, updated to kk.
Everything working but call standby and WLAN eating battery, screen on for 3h 10min(consumed 10% of battery) and after 12h I have only
10% battery left. The phone wasn't awake while screen is on so it is probably not an app keeping the phone awake..
So .. wifi is always on(on battery stats, but I turned if off for 3h) and even so it shouldn't consume 28% of battery.
Standby consumed 29% of battery! But always got full signal and talked just for 10-15min.
I've done root with 360root and remove(suspend)some apps with 360root.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
I'm trying to get the best battery consumption and my battery stats are saying Device Idle 17% over 15 hours. Does that sound right?
