An alternative Taskmanager -Taskswitcher -Taskcloser (Alt+Tab function) to the longpress send key: this is the Showcase application You can exclude programs and much more follow this link to developers homepage. Cred to amarullz.
Installed and working BUT sometimes it takes 1 minute or two for the showcase application to show up when long-pressing the send key: is this normal?

Is it possible add one or more application shortcuts icon in the
command bar ?
I've seen some software create an icon (for example psshutXP) in the command bar but I don't know what to do to add extra icons
It needs a registry trick or other ?
Thanks in advance
Check out PHM Tray Launch or my own VJTrayLaunch on my website.

Thanks vijay, you're the best !!!!!
Diggia: do be careful though, as I say on the website, only use my app for a small number of apps (1 or 2). I have to improve it, but I've been so busy this week on so many other things: just finished a new version of VJOkButt, being posted tonight..
V
Thanks for your suggestion.
At he moment i only add one or tw apps.
I hope you'll improve it
Now I just going to try VJOkButt, I thinks it's another useful app !
Vijay, will your OKButt application close the running program when I'll press the ok button on the keyboard?
This was the reason why I'm using Pocket Plus instead of Magic Button - MB works only when you use the touch screen, then it closes the application, otherwise when you press OK it just still minimalise it.
rottie: no, VJOkButt doesn't replace any keys. You have to assign any keys you want to yourself, using a program like AEButton Plus etc.
I could make it assign to the hardware key, but not right now. I like AEButton Plus. In the future I will make VJOkButt do something similar, but for now you have to choose how you launch it (eg hardware key, start menu etc).

Hey This is a Registry tweak so please kindly backup your registry before trying.
As we know that the below two keys at the bottom of Today Screen by default links to Calender and Contacts.
I needed my below contacts key to load Pocket CM for me which i prefer as a contact manager over the default one and i wanted my pictures on hand so i changed the other key which was calender by default to Pocket CM image viewer.
Following are the steps to change the keys:
Use any Registry editor(eg: Regedit) got to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER>>Software>>Microsoft>>Today>>Keys>>
Here there will be two Keys 112 & 113 consisting of Default & Open
So let us Change the Default Contact Key to PocketCM in my case
So the default Contacts key is 112
Make the following changes:
Click on Default & Type "Contacts"
Click on Open & Type "the path of where your program is stored" in my case it is :
Open "\Storage Card\Program files\PocketCM\PocketCM.exe"
Repeat the same steps for the key 113 to change to whatever program you like.
Note: I have not taken this information from anywhere and its whole and sole my efforts and no one else's.
i Hope this information is useful to at least the minimum then i would consider that my efforts have paid
Regards Chigz.
well, i think this tweaks knows everyone.
try to use the search function of this forum, you will get many many results...
Ohh sorry..

Is it possible to change the quick list items or reassign long press end key?
Maybe registry path where to change it?
I thought to put task manager there cause when some app freeze quick list is the only place that responding so it would be good to have task manager there to kill freeze processes..
Someone actually use the quick list? cause i don't use it at all...

Item #13.
If "HTC Long Press End Key" software is not installed on your PPC, you'll find it at Itm #9.

Thanx!
item 13 works well and easy to do
I´m using pocket informant for PIM management and HD Tweaks to remap the softkeys, however, I can´t assign to any of the softkey the pocket informant contacts or calendar, only the WM.
Any ideas on how to solve this?
You need to modifye keys in the registry. Here is how I've done it on my HD (it's in french, so you may have to translate the path for your version)
Using a registry editor,
- I have assigned the label "Agenda" to the left soft key :
HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\HomeLSKText="Agenda"
- I've assigned the week view to the key :
HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\HomeLSKPath="Windows\menu démarrer\programmes\informant utils\piweek.lnk"
Note that the "Informant Utils" folder contains a shortcut for each view, you can choose whichever you want, their name are self explanatory.
I've configured the x button to close all applications but PI (to have it always active and then have a faster access) :
- start PI
- go to settings>Task manager> tab "current" (or whatever the first tab name is in your language)
- tap and hold on the PI task, then select "add to exclusive"
That way, when I click on the left soft key (now labeled "Agenda") I switch to PI in week view. I can then switch from PI by using the Home button or the x button, PI will stay active and the next switch will be very fast.
Nor working for me...
I should work. You must have made a mistake somwhere. Did you do a soft reset? Did you doublecheck the path to be sure you wrote it correctly?
You can also try the program HD Tweak wich allow you to set that in section 14.4 & 14.5.
My answer to HTCZar was irrelevant, because Claude already anwered.
As I said in the first post, I tried to use HD Tweaks, however the optios presented don´t include the PI calendar\agenda, how do I put them there?

Could you possibly check the link properties for this and month view? Just for anyone that might have got rid of all those extra links cluttering up his 'All programs list'...
What I'd like to have set up, the left soft key goes to Pocket Informant (maybe the screen where you choose what view you want) and when I tap an appointment in TF3D it loads the agenda view, using SSMaPa. (Can you get me a link for this?)
Here is the link as read in the properties of the shortcut :
For PIWeek.lnk :
"\Program Files\WebIS\PocketInformant\PITab.exe" 4?\Program Files\WebIS\PocketInformant\PITab.exe,-113
For PIMonth :
"\Program Files\WebIS\PocketInformant\PITab.exe" 4?\Program Files\WebIS\PocketInformant\PITab.exe,-114
To get rid af tho extras link in 'All program list', it would have been better to move the shortcut in another folder, so you could still use them if needed...
I haven't used SSMaPa yet (but I planned to) therefore I can't help you on this matter. Sorry.
Yeah, I should have just moved them... silly me. Thanks for your help. Could you possibly give the link to the agenda view too? Thanks.
Is there a link to 'view' view?
I´ll Try that Again then.
Is it possoble to change the hardware keys function?
Works fine! Thank you very much! @claude
Where do you put the path and exactly how are you writing it ?

1. You need to install registry editor. I use Resco Registry Editor, but there are some other.
2. Open the registry and follow the tree up to the parameter HomeLSKPath. Taping on the parameter should provide a field where to keyin the path string.
3. Quit the registry editor
4. Restart TF3D or do a Soft Reset.
I´ve done that, and i´m also using Resco editor.
The path strings begins with Windows\....PIWeek.lnk right? it takes no " "?
Greetings,
Here is a way from me, to make it possible, to customize your hardware buttons.
Step one:
Start the attached FDC Taskmanager, then tap <Menu>, <Options>, set enabled on "Create RegEdit Shortcut".
Now you can open the Regedit - Shortcut in Startmenu ( <Programs> - <System> ) and .reg - files will be associated with FDC-TM.
Now doubletap on the attached .reg - file, select importing.
Ready!
Restart the device!
Feature lost: Navipanel not start automatically, when you put the phone in carkit. Copy the Navipanel.lnk in Startmenu or lay it of the navigation-button.
Step two:
1. klick "Start"
2. klick "Settings"
3. klick "Hardware-Buttons"
4. customize
Greetz Mirko
edit: when is it not easy enough, give me your adress and I will come to you and do it for you!
Thanx for the effort and for sharing Mirko!
I will definitely try it
bravo super boulot
Still starting
Hi!
I have succesfully created the two buttons in the control panel of the PDA and assigned them to right and left program key. And the work!
My problem is that the Tomtom and Footprint also start, which is a feature I would like to remove. I would much rather have them start the old fashion way, as this is a phone as a primary device.
Can anyone direct me to a solution. I would like to keep the programs installed but can as a last resort remove them if it helps (and if I can).

This problem occurs when you do not set the "NaviService" service to Manual and stop it. See the first post in this thread from Mirko, he explains it.
@ Snwstrm
U must read my post, stands:
"Now go with the FDC Taskmanager to "Services", stop "NaviService(NPS0)", long klick it, then change to "set manual". When you not do this, you have a double assignment on buttons."
Greetz Mirko
edit: Argh! Not seen, Evincar was almost answering, sorry!
No such service
Hi!
Thanks for a quick reply. I don't have FDC but Pocket Controller Pro as a task handling program and I cannot see any service that resembles the one U are talking about. My guess is that it differs depending on localization, but I will try to get a hold of FDC program to verify.
I tried to get help from HTC, but they couldn't help me. I guess they have some deal w TomTom and don't want to make it easy to switch or eradicate their program. They wrote to me about PocketToolman but it did nothing new, just a nifty way to access controlpanel.
Keep on looking,
Snwstrm
What about Google? FDC TM is freeware.
Greetz Mirko!
Victory!
You are absolutely right! I will have to contact SOTI regarding their software. FDC worked wonders and now I see no trace of TomTom or Footprint. Just the way I wanted.
Thanks!
Snwstrm
Nice, can help!
Thanks for this. I switched from Vox and I was quite angry, when I had to tap to top right to confirm something. Now footprint does this.

Mirko ,could you explain me more. I'm not good in registry edit, actually just started.
I've downloaded your attached file and already set it on my device but I don't under stand about your explanation.
1 "Copy the Navipanel.lnk in Startmenu or lay it of navigation-button." I don't where is the start menu in Registry and how to do it.
2 stop "NaviService(NPS0)", long klick it, then change to "set manual" that means
go to HKLM\service\NaviService and change value form default to 0???? and I don't understand about how to set manual could you explain me more.
Thank you very much
