Well here is my problem: I dont pay for my cell plan cus I'm on my parent's family plan. I've since moved out of the house so getting a new plan is way out of the question as I would have to start to pay for my own bill I have no idea what to do here other than spitting out half a grand for a PHONE

SO i went to T-mobile yesterday to check my bill and saw the HD2 and couldn't resist so i bought it... Phone is cool, huge screen, hard buttons, soooo nice.......but i hate it lol. I can not stand windows mobile. Phone was giving me a headache. I tried to force myself to like it but couldn't so i put it on craigslist for $500 because it's sold out in my city. But i'll most likely try to return it tomorrow if I can. I mean I have all the accessories but none of the baggies for them so I'll call first

i bought my nexus at full price and waited to use my upgrade to get the hd2. i hate winmo too but i knew that wp7s would be ported to it, so for now my gf has it until they release the port http://www.engadget.com/2010/03/28/htc-hd2-gets-early-windows-phone-7-os-port-could-be-released-be/
and i agree the hd2 is sexy

I got it with the payment plans so what exactly are they refunding? The down-payment I made? and are there fees?
They will probably just refund whatever you put down. I am not sure if they will charge you a restocking fee, we all know HTC/Google charges a fee ($45) if the Nexus was opened and then returned.

i kind of want to buy it just so i can try windows mobile 7..hopefully they get that android port going, but by that time ill have the Evo 4g so im good Im so stoked on that thing but i do love my nexus one its really nice looking

No I put 40 dollars down on the phone and was gonna pay 25 a month but now i Just want a refund. Am I able to do that? The only thing I'm missing is the baggies for the accessories

Yeah definitely, you got 14 days for an exchange or refund. Prolly will have to pay the restocking fee though, its like $10-$20 no more than $20 for sure

i wanna give it a try but im not gunna give up my nexus. lol..i really love this phone. if i were you i would try and return it or sell it and save the money so when a win7 phone comes out then you can get it but it is tempting knowing the hd2 could get it first.

I got the HTC Touch Pro 2 when it came out because I loved the Tilt, and the Fuze.
But, I hate Windows Mobile. Hate it, hate it, hate it.
They have some good chiefs over there, but they just can't make it a good phone.
If there was a way to get Android ported 100% to it; I'd ditch my N1 and get it right now. But they are having issues with the port.
EDIT: Also; WinMobile 7 is going to suck. I've heard that it is going to be locked down like the iPhone... So, what a wonderful failure that will be.

Im on a SWAC account and the SWAC people told me via email that i would be able to activate the Epic 4g you buy one at full retail price ($500). Now i just need to find a store to sell one to me off contract.
Well at least this answers my question regarding whether I can buy it at launch day as well via the new ERP. So good news for me. It may not be much of a discount but any discount is better then none.

I'm on a family plan with 4 phones eligible for upgrade. I want the Fascinate but no one else does and I was curious if I could upgrade my line (line 1) and set the free phone up to another line (line 3)... then when the phones come activate both lines 1 & 3 then activate line 3 on its old no data plan required phone. And keep the free Fascinate as a backup?
Now the question here is if I do that would I be charged data on line 3 even though its using a dumb phone? Like is the contract when I get the 2 phones mean that I have to pay the data for all 2 years, because I think (hope) that this would work.
Any thoughts on if this would work, or if I am just completely missing the mark with this?
The data would be prorated, in other words it might cost a dollar, do it!

My thought exactly. Buy two. Pay the ETF for the 2nd phone and sell it. At the very least we only need to get $325 back and anything over that gets us money back in our pocket.

to be honest i dont think it will work that way since its for new 2yr agreements, but good luck, let of know the outcome.
To get two you need two upgrades but if you have two and want to waste one go for it

so i got a g2 for free with tmobile. so i pre odered my tombile g2 for my third line that i had and was able to upgrade. i deced to upgrade using the eip plan, they sent me the conformation email i signed it sent it back in.. so today i checked the status as people are starting to recive the phone. and my order come to find out has not gone through. so i start *****ing lol and end up with the phone being completley comp! now this is after an hour long argument over why the only phone that works is my nexus one that i bought outside of tmobile and that i did not buy it from them and there phones suck. so i got one for free very happy! also got my girl my touch slide changed for another brand new device becuse hers was acting up and a promise that if it happens agin she can pick any phone for free. and on top of that i got a 25 doller bill credit so all in all great start to my moring and thank you tmobile

sorry about the no peroids lol....... no eip is equipment instaltion plan i think thats how you spell it.. what it does is breaks phone payment into three months so that way you dont have to pay so much up front. ive done it twice before and it a good plan it adds like an extra 70 buck to your bill for three months kind of like a tmobile credit card.. every one that has tmobile has this and you all start of with 500 dollers credit..

Didn't know about Best Buy for $100 until today.
My wife got hers last week for $199, wouldn't you know, they lowered the price. I just got off the phone with Sprint and they credited my account the $50.
Of course, if they hadn't, I would have had her return it as "I didn't like it" under Sprints 30 Day guarantee and then gone to Best Buy. She doesn't need 3D and its easier to maintain 2 identical phones.
Best Buy's website has it at $49.99 when I just checked. My NS4G is going back along with the $100 going back in my wallet. I'm within my initial 30 days and this is my second NS4G and the radio still sucks. I didn't want to go with a yr old phone, but it performs great and just got the official GB update so it's still well supported by HTC and Sprint. White Evo 4G will be in my pocket tomorrow.

Just called to confirm (since my son wants a phone) and from what they said on the phone...I can add another EVO to my plan for the $50 bones as well. Obviously an additional $20/line fee and the GOT A HAVE IT $10 ale cart crap fee applies, but better than any other smart phone out there for the price! Going to Breast Buy tomorrow!
3D must be on the trucks to offload soon eh?

Done Done and Done....
Went by the local BB this morning and picked one up for him @ $50 was in and out within 15 minutes. Told the guy..."No need to take any more of your time...I'll activate it myself". There were a couple phones having the activation and UPDATE done..
Activated and now rooted..good times.
Went to Sprint to check on my replacement of the replacement EVO (BAD screen) they replaced last Friday..no go and phone calls to customer service etc have yet to get me a NIB phone..will deal with that. Guess I was a little frustrated..on the way out I saw three couples looking at the EVO and proceeded to exclaim..."Might want to go across the street to BB and get yours for $50 instead". Probably should have just kept quiet, but felt better as two of the three followed me out the store.
