Hey all I just verified this by taking my first Vibrant back to them and getting a new one they both are pre-rooted all you have to do is d/l SuperUser from the market and presto!
I have a quick question however, I am a newb to these phones coming from the Motorola Milestone XT720, how can I fins out which ROM and Kernel are currently installed on my phone.
THX.
Hi Guys,
I am having an issue with my Galaxy S4 i337m Rogers phone. I am trying to revert back to stock rom by flashing the stock rom through ODIN but everytime I end up flashing the stock rom, i get BELL's bloatware instead of Rogers/Fido. I found the stock rom in one of the xda-developers threads:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2269304and Sammobile. None of them seem to work.
The PDA i have been using is: I337MVLUAMG1 and also I337MVLUAMDJ. Note that I havent flashed the KERNEL.
I think that I might have done something when I installed the CUSTOM ROM "FOXHOUND" that i messed up something. The phone works fine but I want to get the rogers bloatware or at least know how to get them back in case I have to return my phone for warranty purposes. Can anyone please help.
Regarding your ROM

You are experiencing this problem as you have probably downloaded and installed Bell's original ROM.
If you wish to get Roger's original stock bloatware then you'll have to search for Roger's stock ROM and flash that one.
If you need further help regarding this topic, feel free to send me a PM.
:good:
I have searched for rogers stock rom and flashed that one from a few different sites. Each time I end up with bell bloatware. So I guess this certainly is not an issue of me flashing the wrong Stock Rom. Thanks for your reply though.
I don't think you downloaded the Roger firmware. It should end in bma3
Edit, at least this is what sammobile shows
if you click on the link I provided in my original thread, you will see that all ROGERS, BELL, TELUS have the same PDA file name. :S
Yea, it looks like all the stock firmware is the same despite the carrier
Roger's stock bloatware

You could always un-install Bell's bloatware and flash/install Roger's bloatware.
I've seen Roger's flashable bloatware zips for the Galaxy S4 on here...
Will flashing the kernel solve the issue? Sorry if this may be a dumb question as I am a newbiee when it comes to this.

No, that won't help. I wouldn't worry too much. My experience with warranty is that they don't really check what firmware you're on. They do end up flashing the latest firmware before returning it to you, though. I think it's their standard practice.

First off, good question
To answer your question:
No the kernel won't affect user nor system apps, so flashing a new kernel won't result in fixing your problem regarding the Roger's bloatware application(s).
I read in other forums, people are having a similar issue that I am experiencing. Some suggested changing the CSC Code by typing *#272*IMEI#. I did that by changing from BMC(BELL) to RWC(ROGERS) and even FMC(FIDO). The phone restarts but I still end up having BELL bloatware. When i check my CSC again, it has gone back to BMC. Why isn't the CSC changing?
Look for Samsung csc on playstore il also need to be rooted to use this program

In response to this matter I can say I experience the same issue when trying to flash Bell Firmware onto a Galaxy S4 running the same firmware but with Rogers bloatware and a Rogers CWC being that it was / is a Rogers Device. The problem is that the firmware is exactly the same except for the fact that the bloatware is different based on the carrier.
What you need to do is root your device and flash a custom rom that does not include any of the carrier bloatware and then flash back to the Stock Canadian Firmware which includes the bloatware for your carrier.
What would be easier is if the Bell / Rogers / Fido / Telus firmware was available for download without the bloatware and then it could be installed by the user should they choose to do so.

I just rooted my Rogers Galaxy S4 using Motochopper and then installed Samsung CSC and then changed my CWS to BMC (Bell) and it changed all my bloatware to Bell and removed all the Rogers.
Works Well. Thanks very much.

Hello Everybody
So I rotted my S4 and been flashing roms and gapps since I bought the sweet thing. I use TWRP and I always keep the stock rooted rom backed up on my SD card but a few days ago my SD card messed up and required a format to fix and now I can't find a stock Telus firmware to flash. I've found lots of Canadian stock roms but they seem to be all Rogers or Bell images. Anyone out there help me out ? I want to hit up stock for awhile and get the official 4.3 update from Telus when it drops later this month, so I can root and keep the adventure alive.
You can use any Canadian rom for any
Galaxy s4 i337m there is only one rom fits all. If you install bell rom on Telus phone it will install Telus everything .
If you install rogers on telus same thing

Hi there. I have a Telus Samsung Galaxy S4. I recently unlocked the phone so i can switch to rogers, i was wondering if it is at all possible to replace my telus stock rom with a rogers stock rom.
I'm pretty new to this whole rom flashing situation and i'm concerned about bricking my phone. but on the other hand i wouldn't mind getting rid of my telus apps and getting the rogers ones.
i understand that rooting my phone will allow me to delete apps and what not, but i'm not really sure how to start with all this.
Hey guys i recently went from rogers to telus and the companie unlocked my s4 so i can use it on telus.
i had an issue with the wi-fi so i put cyanogenMod 11 stable and it settled my wi-fi.
but i think there is a few bugs and would like to go back to stock rom, that is now 4.4.2 i think..
So what rom do i put in it?telus of rogers and do i still need to unlock once i do it?

You can use Telus firmware for more compatibilities. You will find the firmware going to Sammobile.com and downloading the latest firmware.
cool.i found a rom that seemed to work but i still have the same issue with the wi-fi not turning on...that is why i changed to cayonogen mod...
