From time to time I do get messages from people asking if I can make a WM6.5 ROM for hw6900 series iPAQs.
The thing is that I don't have any hw6900 series iPAQs to do tests with.
So I looking for someone who can sell cheap or donate a hw69x5 iPAQ for WM6.5 / WM6.5.3 ROM development.

Recently I bought an iPAQ hw6945 with broken LCD to see if it can run WM6.5.x. And yes - it can.
WM6.5.3 runs really well on it. At least it seems so - as it's quite hard to operate device with broken LCD (I see nothing on it) by using MyMobiler.
Now I need to get an LCD to test it more.

Ok. I may be able to either get you a replacement LCD, or a used hw6945. I'm not sure which one, though. I have to talk to a buddy of mine, but he won't be available until after Easter. I'll know more on Monday.

Hi! I want try it on my HW 6915/ I try 4PDA 6.1 and 6.5WM. But many programs don`t work and don`t work Bluetooth. Sorry fo my bad English

I've already sent Spiaatie a replacement LCD screeen for his 6945, so I'm sure he'll get a test ROM out soon enough. Just be patient.

Mr Sensible says wait until the Kaiser comes out, Mr More Sensible says wait a good six months after release so initial problems are ironed out. Mr Exceedingly sensible says wait at least a year so the price has dropped considerably. Mr Ultimately Sensible says just give it ten years and there'll be even better ones out by then. How sensible are you??

To tide me over I bought a M3100 off ebay so I can 'keep my hand in' so to speak until the kaiser is released

Personally I don't see enough of a change for me to rush out and get one to replace my M3100. There isn't really a killer feature that I must have... the extra ROM memory is nice but I don't run that low at the moment. I don't need the built in GPS as my SirfStarIII is excellent. Don't need the extra 3meg camera over the 2meg. The screen tilt is nice but never felt the need for it. OK, it's a little bit thinner and slightly lighter but once again not enough to change.
Now if I was looking for a new phone or coming from say a Wizard then I would jump on it first chance.

I think it's out in October OEM, dunno about branded colaunches. I'll certainly be hassling T-Mobile in October as that's when my birthday is (and it'll be just over a year from the start of my contract with them).

Actually, I think they are just sticking price up to catch the idiots with more money than sense and who must be first with the latest gadget. In fact the sites may not even know their pricing levels yet until HTC release info.

I work in the cellphones market and since I work in the technical department I recived a sample to test our gadgets, like battery, hearphones, chargers......
The one I have is metallic. I agree Black is better but it doesn't look bad, I'll try to upload some images.
sounds good. i wonder if they decided to switch from black to metallic when they found out that the diamond or pro was coming out all black and wanted to diffrenciate earlier in the design process.
Like I said this is just a sample, maybe they will change it again.

Haha yes I can agree with you about the looks really looks come from MS itself..For me this software also a bit expensive..but after looking at the WM7 skin..I am really attracted with this software

i have been using his version 1 and version 2 of this theme and it is very great. He keeps perfecting it with each never release and the releases are coming with days/weeks of each other. Also the creator, iWisen, is very open to suggestions to make it specific to your needs. So hit up that pocketman forum if you find bugs or have suggestions.

I have tried v2 and its working fine with my device..what is your type of device? I ever heard WM2003 won't be able to run this soft perfectly

Hi,
I'm always overwhelmed with your work and I would like to have this stuff on my HTC. However with the last versions of your rom (e.g. R4) Automapa 5.0 GPS software doesn't work anymore. I know that this niche software and I don't expect you will bother about this issue, however I wonder whether there are any changes in R5 which could influence the use of GPS module so it will be worth to give it a try, flash my Polaris with the R5 and check if it works or not.
Unfortunately replaycing Automapa with other software is not an option for me.

Well, I have some wishes (no demands!) regarding to the new rom.
My wishlist:
1. Multi-language roms in FRE/ITA/GER/SPA/WWE (maybe you can work something out with M-Anime)<---Priority!!
2. get the Volume control of the W100-cable remote to work with the audio manager in m2dc
3.Audio playback in stand-by mode
4. Maybe a light version of the rom with basic apps (opera, PiMBckup,RSS..)
so that everybody can customize his PPC the way he likes.
maybe you can consider or you have already considered some of these wishes. Even if not, keep up the good work!!

Have a look at boot.img. I added kgsl specific perms to init.rc's. This works also with init from Vision (109,6kb) but I reverted back now to B160 init
I'm not developer my self, but is it possible to use kernel or radio drivers from another phone model ie. Desire z to get rid of those problems with randomly dropping 3g connection? I understood that desire is nearly with the same harware.

Perfromance of this rom is very good compared to the stock Huawei. I was able to get over 2500 in Quadrant at 1.5GHz over 300 points higher than the stock rom at 1.5GHz. People should give this rom a go it's working great on mine so far. Only things I notice aren't working are camera, haptic and mobile data. There are a few bugs here and there but nothing major. It's fast and smooth. Screens:
