Internal Storage Full but isnt.

last nite i was copying a file over to the storage card (the internal 16mb) of my m1000 but the unit crashed for some reason (battery was quite low so may be a reason)
now the device thinks that the storage is full 100% even though the file manager shows it as only having the backup folder and a history file. certainly not 16mb worth.
now my machine cant do the perminant backup on boot and since you cant specify what drive to backup on is a bit of a pain.
system mechanic cannot format that drive. hard reset makes no difference.
any ideas?
clean up...
check your storage card holder.. blow it or clean it.. if still desame you need to open it up.. its the storage card holder.. u can try pressing the mem card up down up down.. and blow it.. try it.
nono its the internal storage. the 16mb built in non volatile memory. my external sd card is fine

Boot from Storage Card

Hi all,
As Magician has always been having memory problems and I have loaded several applications, I thought about loading Windows (all files from device) to the Storage Card and then installing a Boot swapper that makes the device boot from the Storage Card.
By doing this, all 32 MB Memory can be dedicated as RAM and the device will work fastest giving best performance and will allow users to open several applications at a time.
Does any one have a .CAB file or something that swaps the booting location to Storage Card.

[Q] Phone uses Internal SD "Card" not external

Maybe noob question but my phone in recovery uses internal memory not external even ClockworkMod backups to internal memory but not to my SD card, but in android if i use file explorer -it shows that external card, so how to make ClockworkMod to see my external card, cause i want to install new rom. THANKS.
And there is also another problem - when i copying new file to Internal memory via PC it ALWAYS hangs after some progress, never copies file..and phone switches off USB storage mode everytime i try to copy file in it. why?
EDIT- FIXED - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16983526&postcount=24
Try another SD-card. Which ROM are you using? If it turns off when you copy files onto it I suggest you get a ROM that is more stable.

I tried 2 cards-don't work in recovery mode.
I use stock rom, and i can't update because in recovery mode phone does not see sd card onli internal 2GB memory. So i can't even update rom.

External.db grows indefinitely consuming all space

I have a ZTE Blade V and I rooted and installed CWM. Only reason was to apply the SD swap zip. This zip, is basically a mod you can install which is editing a file in /system/etc to change the SD card mounts so they are swapped round. This means the internal tiny 1.5gb SD becomes external and I now have a 32gb SD acting as internal. I did this because I thought it would help my daughter avoid issues with her phone as much, running out of storage.
Problem....
I'm not sure when this started or if it did it from the start. The phone runs out of INTERNAL storage space. So this is neither the internal or external SD card. This is the actual internal storage for the phone reported as 0.98gb size. This gets consumed totally within about 20 minutes of the phone being on. What is happening is the file below grows and grows at a few Megabytes a second up to about 450MB and then phone reports it has no storage left and nothing works. The actual app associated with this DB, is reported as "Media Storage" app with an andoird icon.
File is called "external.db" and is located at:
/data/data/com.android.providers.media/databases
I think this DB is cataloging information to do with something but I don't understand what and why. Is it getting into a loop because something i corrupt somewhere? The device has minimal apps installed fresh phone and no media (even on either SD card).
Thanks
If I take the physical SD card out (the 32gb one I have as swapped to internal) and boot the phone up, this problem goes away. Obviously this breaks some apps like what's app that use images in converstations stored on this SD. As soon as I put the SD card back into the phone the external.db starts to grow and grow and grow again.
I took the sd card out, formatted it and started again and the problem so far has gone away. Monitoring.....
