so you want it to play music....which it's designed to do at an ear-blistering volume so you can hear it while it's on your desk or in your pocket....while you have the phone next to your ear on a call?
dont think it can ...or SHOULD...do that
I am waitting for a solution to.I had a nokia n73 and i could play music while i was talking on the phone.
Good question
I too discovered that on my Nokia N81 when i tried to play a song for a friend ,see if he likes it . Tried it on the Diamond but it doesn't work .
Not such a big deal though .
i am also waiting for the answer!!!!?
i m too waiting.... cant anybody develop some soft....??... or at least tell me how to develop...

it can in noika 6630
maybe by changing somthing in the registry...
I think this possible, I did it before on my i-mate Jam and Samsung i-750 both operated with WM2003, you have to something in the registry but forget the threat
Searching the same thing
please help someone
So, what's the solution, is it possible on HTC Diamon?

hi all,
any s/w available for having video ringtones on wm5 ?
why would you want video ringtones?
Something eye catching for deaf people?
it looks cool...so is nethin 4 tht available ?
time to keep this post on the top of the thread. someone please code this up before apple takes credit for one more thing.
http://gizmodo.com/5020939/video-ringtones-for-iphone-revolutionize-answering-your-phone
and i dont want to hear "oh thats stupid" because after apple does it...it will be the best thing since slice bread.
it would be nice to see it in a program like S2U.

If I could work out how to capture calls, I'd give it a shot... But, I haven't worked it out yet!
I hate Apples marketing lies too!
VERY DOPE IDEA.....someone please hop on this
ya for real i will donate or pay. we need something way cool to shut the iphone people up. video ringtones
maybe itll be easier to start with animated flash or gif instead of full vdeio clips? very interesting idea indeed!
If you could capture the incoming call
the all that woyld be needed is like tcpmp to play full screen video
or even wmp instead of audio ringtone
With 2 buttons Ignore and answer
And of course the caller ID info displaying
I havet written code in 10 yrs and I was never that good
i wish i was though
This is a great idea
But sprint phones had Video Ringtones like 5 years ago
On the sanyo mm500
So APPLE didnt revolutionize sh**
But WinMo can make it BETTER!!!
Apple are not revolutionary, and this is done by a seperate company anyway...
I'll package up a very basic call capturer as a test to see if it works in theory... Then I'll try and embed some form of media player...
could we maybe modify photo app by removing limitations (picture format),so it can play gif's as someone mentioned....or maybe a plug-in will be enough....it'll just take to make a plug-in
I was just wondering yesterday why WM phones can't do this. Seeing that a lot of non-smartphones can do it. I don't really mind since it's kind of pointless. I have S2U2 showing who's calling me, which is actually useful.
I think this is a cool idea, not sure that I would use it, but nevertheless..nice idea
Here's a quick test app to see if it's possible to intercept the calls...

So has anyone tried this yet?
Edit: I put it on my device but I'm not sure what to do with it. When I click on the icon it gives me some screen about the caller name, the caller number & the caller contact... with the only options to accept or reject. Any suggestions or just a description l3v5y?

Talking on the phone with my friend and LET him listen to a song from my phone.

PLEASE HELPPP.
my friend can do it with his phone which is Nokia N95
What is it IMPOSSIBLE OR WHAT?
Impossible.
are you saying that you want to be able to play a song while in a conversation? If so, it requires a registry edit.
will it be really loud enough for the person on the other end to hear it?? don't know.
this is what i am wondering if any of the Geniuses here can figure out a registry edit or something PLEASE.
i want to be able to play a song and hear it while i am talking on the phone with somebody and make them hear it 2.

You win.
Also, yeah, it's not happening, sorry.
Sing for the other party.
WELL IN NOKIA PHONES WHEN I HAD 6680 WE HAD AN APPLICATION CALL CallCheater by SymbianWare www.symbianware.com/product.php?id=callcheater60WHERE ONE CAN USE ANYTHING TO PLAY BAGROUND SONG
I HOPE SIMILAR SOFTWARE MAY BE THERE ALSO FOR PPC PHONES??
It seems like when I answer the phone there is a little delay. The other side already talking and I seem to miss part of the conversation. Does anyone has this problem? Any fix for this?
Thanks
Nope... no such issue at my end.
I know there's an end call delay built into WM, default is 3 seconds. I've "heard" that tweaking this setting helps on both answering and ending, although I haven't bothered to try it myself. Not sure how to do it manually, but this tool can do it.

delay???
how long....the diamond has a slight delay....but you get used to it
do you mean when ringing...or when you answer call and talk????
as the 3 second thing on ring is on all wm phones
if its the ring....attached is the cab i use....should work for you too

i have the same problem and would be very grateful for a solution
Well a little delay is ok. Meaning its a common occurrence on most WM phones. I've had it on my magician and also on my elf. So yeah...you do get used to it. That's of course if its a reasonably short delay.

the diamond is less that half a second,,,but if you don't know it can catch you out
I got a little delay when I answer a call, but I will get used to it
why da fck do you have to get used to it.
Other phones don't have that problem and i'm really thinking of switching back to Nokia N96 because of this problem.
My x1 had the same problem, but when i installed touch HD's dialer then the delay is about 1 sec, before it was about 2-3sec.

Thanks. It seems better with this one.
I think i may have found the solution. Ringtones placed in phone memory will play faster than ringtones stored in SD CARD.
when i had my ringtones on SD, it would ring 3 times before i could hear the ringtone. if ring tones are placed in phone memory the ringing is almost instant.
has anyone noticed that if your ringtone is playing while you press the answer key that the ringtone will transfer to the earpeice before you can hear the caller on the other end?
Bro for the WM u need to place the ringtones on the phone for them to play. U cant play them directly from the memory card.

Hmm, yes you can. As long as they are in Storage Card / My Documents / My Ringtones.
If such a post exists with same content please delete. So I was googling because I was sick of quiet xperia...
this .CAB makes xperia so much louder ! no more missed phone calls!
Go To This Link.
Code:
http://www.nakido.com/0B003C1E96C70C8A5943C1FCA7AE8F2560769B0F?m=UPLOAD_OK
Download , Put it on your phone , install
post your results! my xperia x1a is sooo much louder after this cab was installed
Nice, thank you. Does this also make the call voice louder? Since I find myself struggling to hear the other guy at the end of the line.

So far what I checked was louder
Music playing (ring tone , msg etc..) and phone boot with this xperia short movie with that sound? it also is much louder other things we gotta try
But doesn't it sound even more crappy if it's louder?
extracted the para files and dumped them into this zip here.
havnt tested it yet but the original CAB file contains some other drivers as well which i somehow dont trust.
PS: speacker output is indeed louder. sounds a little bit distorted but thats OK. u can still turn the phone vollume lower

Hi all,
I got my TD2 and I must say I like it very much.
Learning now for ROMs and this stuff, I was at Symbian till now .
One question: I have problem with ringtone when receiving call. No matter what ringtone I put, mp3 one, I got snaps and short empty spaces, like when you talk on walkie-talkie but not that obvious. Maybe it has something with bits, mono-stereo or something.
Anyone have same problem?

How about when you use a standard ringtone from HTC?
If that is also bad and you have stock rom you will have to hard reset your device.

Yes, it's the same and yes I have stock ROM.
So I'll check if hard reset helps me.
Thanks.
Same thing happened.
I updated it with new ROM (official from HTC) and same thing is happening.
My ringtone is like when you listen CD in car and hit a bump.
Anyone having same problem?
