Is it possible to convert the recorded video from my MDA to a standard video format like mpg/mpeg/avi/divx.
i have tried several tools to convert the mp4 file but no one is capible of converting it to a standard format.
what tool can i use the best for this job?
I use this prog - "ImTOO 3GP Video Converter"
I have recorded a few videos with my phone, but cannot get them to play on my windows or mac computer. What is the codec so that I can view these files on a PC?
I did find a Windows tool that will convert properly the video produced my Treo. The product is from:
http://www.mp4converter.net/
It is called 4Media MP4 Converter 3.
Oddly enough, i just installed Codec packs, and it works for me ? something like K-Lite or whatnot
Hi!
Can anyone recommend a program which can convert .mkv-files to a resolution of 800x480, or the most suitable resolution for HD2?
And which format should I use for best playback?
I have done many experiments to rip DVD to mp4, and finally I found out a workable method.
1. you have to rip the entire DVD into hard drive first (dvd decrypter, dvdshrink, etc)
2. download mpeg streamclip and quicktime (or alternative) and install
3. open DVD from your hard drive (ripped)
4. export to mp4
settings:
1. resolution
for 4:3 videos, use 640x480 (480p)
for 16:9 videos, use 854x480 or 800x450 (480p)
2. quality
you must consider the single file size, FAT32 is unable to take 2GB or higher single file, so you have to think about that (5-7 is fine, more resolution won't help as most of DVD utilized 480p).
3. video encoding
use H.264
4. leave all the rest untouched
5. the export may take a few hours depends on your CPU
6. copy the file to USB (or microSD) and enjoy
hi, i have an essential fone and a 360 camera. when i copy fotos to my pc it looks like a salvador dali drawing and i am unable to drag the field of view around. however videos work in vlc (but not mplayer/kodi).
is there a viewer that is able to view these pictures as intended.
also, is there a webserver that can render them on a website ? (pannellum and photo-sphere-viewer seem to only work with panoramas).
so far i am only able to view the pictures correctly on the essential-360 camera app on my telefone. maybe essential is saving these in a non-standard format ?
Code:
[[email protected]]$ file IMG_TP20180303_213002.jpg
IMG_TP20180303_213002.jpg: JPEG image data, JFIF standard 1.01, aspect ratio, density 1x1, segment length 16, baseline, precision 8, 2560x1312, frames 3
[[email protected]]$ identify IMG_TP20180303_213002.jpg
IMG_TP20180303_213002.jpg JPEG 2560x1312 2560x1312+0+0 8-bit sRGB 1.36773MiB 0.010u 0:00.000
i am able to view the pics and videos on my pc using vlc.
vlc mobile doesnt have the ability to directly view pics. i have to use file-expert-hd select each file 1-by-1, clik on ... -> open with -> vlc (kind of a kludge).
forgot i already opened a thread:

I use a 360 deg. player Windows app from GoPro which works great. I'm on the road so can't recall the proper name at the moment but a simple search should work for you...
